You simply won't find this much space for the price anywhere else in Madrid. ​The apartment was lovely and fully stocked with essentials (though we didn't use the washing machine since we had just done laundry). ​Communication with the owner was good, and accessing the apartment was completely hassle-free. Important to Know (Read Before Booking): ​Lack of Natural Light: This is a ground-floor apartment with no windows other than the front door facing the street. ​Street Noise: It is quite noisy—you will hear nighttime traffic, people, and rubbish collection around 2:00 AM, plus children crying from a nearby nursery a couple of doors down. We adjusted after a day, but it’s worth noting. Make sure to use the provided thick curtains at the main door to block out street headlights at night.

The WiFi was down during our entire stay, which was a major inconvenience. The owner checked with neighbours after I made them aware and apparently this was due to city wiring, but the router had clearly been tampered with and switched off (likely by previous guests). I had to buy extra mobile data to get through the trip. ​Only one small towel and two bath towels were provided for two adults, forcing us to use the small towel as a makeshift bath mat. The apartment also really needs an indoor doormat, especially since it was raining when we arrived. Just be cautious when walking around at night near the accommodation—there is a rougher area nearby near Nelson Mandela Plaza just down the street, which I'd recommend avoiding after dark (though police patrol frequently).

The location is convenient to the La Latina area with lots of bars, cafes and services. The space is good, bathroom is enormous, good to have washing machine, kitchen etc.

The property was advertised as having 2 separate beds - one queen and a sofa bed. On arrival there was no bedding for the sofa bed and the host said I would have to pay an extra 30 Euros for bedding. I could buy new bedding for less than that! The location is very noisy as the property is on the ground floor and located on the T of an intersection. Pack extra good earplugs if you want to sleep.

Convenient location close to several metro stations with handy supermarket at end of street. Ground floor made for easy access with luggage. Bathroom was good/washing machine provided/adequate kitchen.

While the position is good, because it is on the ground floor and opens directly onto the street, it is noisy. Additionally, it is on a T intersection so you get a bit of extra traffic and lights. We did have people standing right outside our door having loud conversations in the middle of the night and it felt like the rubbish collection trucks were coming though the front door. Apartment is in need of a bit of update: you can't use the bedside tables as the ropes are loose so everything just slides off; a small supply of soap pwd/liquid for washing machine would be good; no coffee machine - only a coffee plunger and an empty jar of Nescafe; towels need an update.
