This property exceeded our expectations. Perfect location. The amenities are wonderful. Lovely desk and hot tub overlooking a beautiful beach. The lower level has a separate suite with private entrance was perfect for adult children with significant other.

The house was very nice! Well stocked and was very clean for us. The updates are very nice. Hot tub was great. The vacation rental company was ok, I think they could have been a bit more hospitable. We didn’t get a welcome email or welcome packet from them. Also the house was cleaned at 2pm and instead of letting us in we waited till 4pm. I think for the money paid we should be let in when the house is ready. Also there was a step missing on the way down to the beach. I would also recommend opening up the one area for parking. The railing upstairs is a bit wide and could be unsafe for children. Other than that things were great we would return again.

Seriously, I don't work for Carolina Shores. They are the best agency in the region, I have rented at Time Out for over 12 years because it's the most awesome house for the $ on the OBX! Right on the shore, your bedroom balcony gives the "on the beach" experience that is unmatched, same for the double slider open living room/deck area. Carolina Shores took over Time Out some years ago, and the house and services are always better than ever.

We had a wonderful time - at Time Out. We all enjoyed the comfortable living/dining area - clean environment, great views from all the decks. Bedrooms were plentiful (although mattresses are a bit hard). Loved our vacation ! Must also commend Carolina Shores - they are on top of everything maintenance - and are quick to respond if you had an issue (we had none). Recommend this home without hesitation. Lots of nearby places to eat and things to see, but just wave watching and porpoises off your own deck can't be beat.

We rented for Christmas week and had our children and a couple of friends visit over the week. We used the linen rental which made things convenient. There are a few minor repairs that need to be made, like on the first floor bathroom door where the towel bar has punched a hole or the 3rd floor ocean front room door which will not close. Also, the mattress in that room is sagging in the middle and needs to be replaced. But other than those minor issues we had a great stay and would happily rent the property again.

Time out is our favorite house and we've come here for years because this is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I've done business with Carolina Shores for many years, it's always the same experience, it's always great!

Overall, I think we had a great experience renting this property! It has an amazing deck with beautiful views of the ocean. We also liked the fact that the hot tub is located where you can still see the ocean. The house was clean and everything was in good shape, other than the broken futon. The furniture was a little outdated and I didn’t really like the orange rust color, but it was clean and comfortable. Check in process wasn’t bad. Although we are used to keyless entry, you just have to stop by the office to pick up your keys and packet. Normally, we wouldn’t even care about the futon, but our senior dog has trouble climbing stairs. So my husband & I had to sleep in the living room. We ended up sleeping on the futon mattress on the floor, but it wasn’t a big deal. The property manager that I spoke with was very sweet and helpful. Also, when we were just about to leave, we realized that our truck had a dead battery. I called Carolina Shores right away, and they were very understanding. Shortly after speaking with them, a kind man pulled up who does the sanitizing. He helped my husband get our truck started! So I would give this house and Carolina Shores an excellent rating overall!

The house is located close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions - right in the thick of it but off the main road so it’s quiet and relaxing. There is ample parking on the property. The house itself, though a little dated, is clean and functional. The living room furniture is not the most comfortable but it’s fine. However, the beds were very comfortable! One of the bedrooms is not accessible from the main part of the house, it’s like an efficiency located at the lowest level of the house. We did not use the bunks so I can’t review them. The property was clean and the location was perfect - as advertised. The management staff responded promptly when the ice maker in the refrigerator didn't work. The deck ended up being a great location for our early morning readers. I didn't anticipate spending a lot of time on the deck but it was the gateway to a perfectly beautiful beach. We rose each morning to an amazing sunrise. The Due East location positioned us to catch stunning views (and sounds) of the Outer Banks beach. There were 8 of us plus 1 toddler. I have been reminded why I love the Outer Banks. We were close to a lot of traffic but we chose - mostly - to stay close to 'home' and avoid the craziness. I appreciated the layout of the house. We were able to put new parents + toddler in the suite downstairs. That was helpful to them as they needed extra privacy. Great spot in OBX.

Relaxation is what I needed and got

Family Time at the Outer Banks
The property was beautiful and well kept. Some nice upgrades as well-I would suggest putting scratch pads on kitchen chairs-new vinal laminate already showing scratch marks. The view was amazing. Pet fee was not listed on VRBO listing when I booked, nor on the Carolina Shores rental page. The fee was applied AFTER I booked, in the small print on the lease agreement. VRBO has updated their webpage, however Carolina Shores has not. I would suggest renting directly from Carolina Shores, instead of paying 2 ADMINISRATION FEES- very shady and underhanded of both companies. All in all we had a great time at Time Out. The weather was perfect, the deck is incredible-full sun all day! The beach is quiet and peaceful. The owners have done a wonderful job in updates-new kitchen pots and pans, hot pads and cutting boards-plenty of prep area for those who love to cook! The mattresses are really comfortable-new pillows and mattress protectors. Bathrooms are nicely updated as well and extremely clean! "Time Out" is Time well spent! Thanks so much, we felt at home and didn't want to leave.

Not as advertised
The Queen beds they refer to are only 1 queen bed in a room that is NOT attached to the rest of the house. The biggest bed is in a dark room off the parking area with NO views of anything but walls. My husband and I ended up sleeping in one of the 2 full size beds inside the house in order to have access to the full kitchen and views of the ocean when waking up in the morning. We did not want to have to walk outside and up the stairs just for coffee and a view of the sunrise.

First time my children and grandchildren vacationed together with us. Perfect size for all of us with plenty of room to spread out. Husband and I used the efficiency apartment to sleep and shower (quiet��) and spent rest of time upstairs. The deck is wonderful and spacious with a beautiful view. The beach area was perfect with a lifeguard not far away. Lots to see and do without having to drive too far. Felt like I wanted to update the interior a little but every thing else was so good I’m not complaining. Really enjoyed the hot tub too.

The location could not be beat. The inside is a bit dated, and some of the beds could use replacing, but that's all reflected in the cost of the rental. You cannot top the location, both in terms of private, direct beach access, and it's location on the outer banks...we never had to travel more than half an hour (and usually less than 15 minutes) to get to any of the sights on the OBX.
