Our first stop during our first trip to CR did not disappoint! You won’t find a better place to stay. And definitely not a more easy going property manager (Thomas) or concierge (María) than the team here! We communicated most with Maria, which was super easy. She arranged everything for us and made wonderful suggestions! She set up transportation for us from the airport and Jorge was also great!
The property: it’s as beautiful as the pictures! We were only here for two nights, but knew we would be back the moment we walked in. So peaceful! We even got to watch the fireworks poolside from the Villa on NYE! Can’t wait to travel here again!
**if you love dogs like we do, River & Blue that live down the hill from the Villa are very friendly!

We loved the property and our stay at 212! Maria was so warm and helpful. Pura vida!

Book this place. Don’t think about it. Absolutely magical, beautiful, relaxing. The location is perfect. Far away from town where you can enjoy nature and close enough to enjoy the vibe of the town. I have zero complaints. And Maria? Absolutely the best. She was at the property to greet us. Booked us private transportation from/to airport. She helps with tours, taxis, recommendations, everything. Truly an MVP.

Ever since we've left the villa, I've done nothing but dream & think about this AMAZING place! The property has beautiful foliage and is well taken care of. Everything from the inside to the outside, we had no complaints. The inside was very clean, & the pool was well taken care of and very clean. We were well taken care of by Maria. She was AMAZING! She assisted with everything from booking our car rental and having it delivered to the villa, all of our transportation to and from the airport, to ordering dinner for us on our first night in... we were exhausted, and it was dark, so having dinner delivered was very appreciated. Maria also assisted in booking our excursions. Joshua our private tour guide to Manuel Antonio was incredible & very knowledgeable about the beautiful park & its beaches. We were lucky enough to see Toucans, Sloths, Spider Monkey's, different birds & many other animals. We also visited Nauyaca Falls. Our private guide to Nauyaca was also named Joshua, but different guide we had from Manual Antonio. Also, AMAZING! We were always back to our villa before noon to enjoy the pool! The view is absolutely unbelievable!! We never missed an afternoon in the pool or the mesmerizing sunset! My photos of the sunset do not do justice of seeing the most beautiful sunsets in person. We were so lucky to see a squirrel monkey at the pool, and the beautiful Macaws. Thank you again, Maria. Costa Rica, you have our heart! Pura Vida!

We relished in the spectacular views overlooking Quepos and Marina Pez Vela from Casa de Mi Amada. This property is as beautiful as described in the listing! We arrived late in the afternoon and were met by the concierge, Maria, who escorted us to the property, gave us a tour of the home, made sure we had groceries, and ensured dinner was delivered. This lovely home is peaceful and private and very clean! We had the pleasure of enjoying a vast variety of birds and wildlife every day including the breathtaking display of macaws, who fly in pairs most every morning & evening. We even had a visit from a squirrel monkey. Manuel Antonio has some amazing restaurants with great food and sunsets almost as beautiful as those we enjoyed each evening from Casa so Mi Amanda. For those who love nature as we do, Manuel Antonio Park, Rainmaker, the beaches of Hermosa, Bejuco, and Dominical are a must to wander. This property is truly a rare find!

We enjoyed two nights and two of the best sunsets ever. Excursions arranged by property manager Maria, were well put together and pick up was on time. Maria’s restaurant recommendations were also spot on.
Beautiful property and a fun driveway to navigate :)

We arrived to a warm welcome from Maria who guided us up to the villa. The place is bright, spacious and well appointed. The pool was such a treat after long days at the beach and exploring the area. Communication was a breeze through WhatsApp and replies were prompt. We greatly recommend this fantastic place to anyone!!

Everything was amazing. The views from this villa are the best around. We could not have picked a better place to stay.

Property is amazing and in a nice area! The hosts are amazing and help you the entire time you are down there. Perfect honeymoon spot

This place is exactly how not is described in the listing. It is private and c lean with beautiful views. They went over an beyond by helping us book excursions upon our arrival. If you don’t have a 4X4 vehicle, I did see taxis come in and out to pick up the people in the adjacent property. The road is steep with sharp curves but my husband managed just fine. We enjoyed the sunsets in the evening so we picked up dinner and took it back to the home each night.

The villa was perfect, and the views are incredible. Maria took care of us and answered any and all questions no matter the time. She booked transportation to and from airport and also booked tours. She gave restaurant info and even took care of booking a rental car for us. She was just awesome!!

Wow. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is a dream come true for me. We spent our 20th anniversary at Casa de mi Amada and everything was picturesque and lovely. The interior of the house is modern. I loved the tile around the bathroom and kitchen. Maria was so helpful to book any of our excursions. The deck and pool overlooking the valley and the ocean can’t be beat! You will not regret a stay here. We plan to return!

We are so glad we found this place! It was perfect! The view of the sunset was so spectacular that we opted to eat dinner in each night to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. The drive up the mountain is steep so I'm glad we rented a 4 wheel drive. Totally worth it for the views. We loved to pool as well. And Fernanda was so helpful to us! I highly recommend this gem for any couple looking for a luxurious getaway!

I’ve been many places and stayed in some fantastic villas. This one is Top 3!
Everything just feels right about the place.

What struck me about his place besides the cleanliness and location is the view overlooking the ocean and mountains. This truly made our trip unforgettable. Maria was very helpful and accommodating during the check in process and throughout our stay. Thanks again!

Beautiful secluded view. Perfect place for tranquility with short drive to Manuel Antonio national park.

Amazing house with spectacular views!

This home has an unbeatable view. No other spot in Manuel Antonio tops this view in the evening watching the sun go down sitting in the infinity pool looking over at the ocean and marina. We hope to return soon! It’s so close to many fantastic restaurants and is up high in the trees with all the wildlife.

Such a beautiful spot. It was so nice to come home each night from adventures and relax by the pool and watch absolutely incredible sunsets. The view is 13 out of 10. The driveway however is a nightmare. We got a 4wd like advertised but we got a truck, it barely made the turns. Our taxi driver even refused to drive us all the way home. Was it worth the view? Yes. just get a smaller sized four wheel drive car like a rav4 or something!!
Maria was great to work with and very responsive.

This is our second stay and it was just as lovely as the first. The view is spectacular, the pool is amazing, it has everything you need. Very well maintained. The owners and managers are super responsive and nice. Love it!

This is our third time staying in one of Sheri's properties and was the first time staying at this property. Similar to our first two stays, this visit was thoroughly delightful and magical. The property is impeccably maintained and very attractive with an infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Having seen many of the local sights, we were content to relax at the property and in the pool and bask in the breathtaking views. The best part was, every evening, witnessing a work of art unfold as the sun sets--each time different but always spectacular. Fernanda and Thomas were very attentive and responsive, and the check-in and check-out processes were seamless. I highly recommend this property, and I'm quite sure we will be back!

I am actually a little hesitant to leave my review...I'm afraid this best kept secret will become so popular that we may not be able to stay again! This was hands down one of the most amazing vacations we have taken! I apologize if this review is a little long, but when we were looking for a place to stay, the reviews other people left we so very helpful to us in our planning. Sheri the owner was just fabulous and so responsive. She is an excellent owner! I can't say enough about Maria the manager. We had never been to Costa Rica before, so I had a lot of questions. She was so patient with me and graciously answered every one. She was incredibly helpful in explaining all the different activities that were available and also scheduling them for us so that we used very reputable companies with amazing staff. The pictures of the home don't do it justice! It is absolutely breathtaking in person! So clean and well equipped and very well taken care of! As others have commented, you MUST HAVE A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE! The driveway is very steep with sharp turns, but so worth it for the view! Some of the activities that we did were ziplining with Safari Canopy - absolutely the best group of guides, ATV tour, private guided tour of Manuel Antonio Park with Joshua...he was so incredible! He would use my phone to take amazing pictures of all the animals and reptiles we saw through his high powered spotting scope and a sunset sail on a Catamaran. Maria helped arrange for all of them! We also had Marisol and Israel, the private chefs, come to the home twice and prepare delicious meals. There was definitely plenty left over for additional meals. Some of our favorite restaurants were Agua Azul, Cuba Livre, Emilio's and for a romantic evening, Le Papillion at the hotel La Mariposa. But by far, the most amazing thing is to just enjoy Casa de Mi Amada! Have a glass of wine and watch the breathtaking sunsets, enjoy early morning coffee on the porch watching the Kiskadees, Scarlet Rump Tanagers, Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, brilliant green Parakeets and Baltimore Orioles soar into nearby trees. And if you are lucky, enjoy a rambunctious visit from squirrel monkeys and white face monkeys while you relax in the refreshing private swimming pool. By the way...they love strawberries...will take them right out of your hand! If you are looking for a bit of paradise, your search is over! As you can see, I just can't recommend this home enough! Thank you Sheri & Maria!

This villa is just as beautiful as pictured. We had a wonderful stay and the concierge Maria was incredibly helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. This home provided privacy and comfort. It was located on a beautiful hillside and had incredible views. They tell you to make sure you have 4 wheel drive because the ‘hill’ it is located on is full of twist and turns and might as well be straight up. Our car rental was appropriate but we definitely encountered a few bumps and scrapes that could have been costly. Thankfully there were no issues. The first night we didn’t have how water in the shower and the next morning we contacted Maria. She responded quickly and kindly. Ultimately it didn’t get fixed until the next day but the response seemed appropriate. However when they fixed the hot water they must have turned off the power and the ac wouldn’t work in the living room. They can out and fixed it quickly so at the end of the day 2 nights cold showers and 1.5 days partial A/C. Things happen and the place is very well maintained so it was probably a fluke.
All in all we would go again in a heartbeat. Love every minute, the area, the people and the beaches.

The house was amazing. View was better than posted in pictures online. Maria was in full and easy communication weeks before we arrived planning activities. Once we arrived she showed us to the house, walked through with us, checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and see how tours went. The AC units were great for cooling off at night. From the porch, and pool we were able to see troop of squirrel monkeys in the trees and run across the porch, toucans, red tail parrots or macaws. Hands down more then what we expected. The driveway is a bit steep, but low gear and peddle down you’re good!

We honeymooned here and can’t wait to go back! There is so much we loved! The privacy, the views, the pool, the cleanliness, the location. Maria was our contact and readily available to answer questions, make suggestions, arrange activities. She is such a lovely and helpful person. We light up thinking and reminiscing about our time in this gem of a villa!

This was more than we could have hoped for. The property is beautiful. Definitely get a car with 4 wheal drive. Maria was so helpful during the check in/check out process and gave us so many great recommendations. She changed the trip for us.

Cannot say enough good things about this property and the managers. Thomas and Maria was amazing. Maria helped us with literally ANYTHING we needed. Ordering food, calling taxis, scheduling activities, etc. We ended up renting a car and she even had it delivered to the house. The view and the pool was absolutely spectacular. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

This place is amazing. Beautiful architecture and interior design. Romantic decor and setup. Great infinity pool. Very clean. The host and the property managers respond quickly and will help you with anything. Maria helped with our rental car issue, getting us tickets to a tour and booking the chefs (highly recommend the chefs!). Highly recommend this spot. Has a beautiful
View as well.

This place is stunning. The pictures do not do justice. The owners was well in communication before our trip and worked with me with our travel adjustments and the property manager was always helpful and easy to reach when necessary. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything that was needed. The only thing I regret is that we didn't get to stay longer!
5.0
Beautiful property located close to everything Manuel Antonio and quepos has to offer. Perfect location to relax and unwind. Felt secluded enough for privacy yet still close enough to get to activities and dining. Nothing bad to say about this wonderful place. The view from the pool at sunset cannot be beaten.

Beautiful property, quiet, private, super crazy driveway that makes the entire experience that much more interesting. Saw a poison dart frog, a Coati, and tons of lizards near the property! Great stay. Manuel Antonio is awesome!

We stayed here for three nights, following a longer stay in Carate about 4-5 hours away. The three nights we spent here were perfect, and were just enough time for us.
The home looks exactly like the photos. It's relaxing, clean, and everything works great. It's one of the few places in Costa Rica with pipes strong enough to flush toilet paper - a true luxury for us American visitors.
The check in process was easy. We met the host at the bottom of the hill (at the time we desired), and followed her up. The drive up the hill is windy and steep - but we did it with a huge truck and stick shift (what an adventure, LOL).If you have a big truck, I recommend getting groceries before you go up there so you don't have to leave and go back down. Or, call a taxi with the host. It's about $7-10 for a quick taxi ride, but we didn't use it - we even took the truck back down one day for lunch.
The pool boy comes on Tuesdays and Fridays, but it was raining on the Tuesday we were there so we never saw the pool guy. I cleaned out the leaves in the pool myself, but it was fine. We were there in early August and it was too cold for the pool, it is not heated. And there is no hot tub.
The "smart" TV didn't work - so we couldn't watch Netflix. We got a little bored, just chillin' - since all TV is in Spanish and we don't know Spanish well. We used our iPad - a little cramped to watch together, but it worked. WiFi was great. They suggest a $10/day tip for the cleaner, who does a good job. Keep your food away, or the sugar ants really do come out (which they'll tell you about at check in). We did a couples massage & facial, which was incredible. It was $300 (can't remember if that included tip or not) and they only take cash. It was worth it! We opted to do it inside since it was a bit cold Nearby food options are great once you're down the hill, and you can get some food delivered by calling places - or using the Costa Rican version of GrubHub (Can't remember what it's called, but the host is VERY easy to get a hold of and told us).
I don't think I'd want to stay there for longer than three days - but reading the guest book, it's apparent that many people come for multiple weeks at time.... and several guests are recurring, one person in the guest book said it was their 5th time at the property.
Costa Rica has some big spiders and geckos - but were not a problem for us, and did not bug us inside.
Thanks for the great stay!

Beautiful Property
This place was exactly as advertised!! Maria was our contact and took great care of us the entire time we were there. I saw a negative review of a person who stayed here two weeks before us and it made me nervous. After staying here a week it was easy to see that the negative review was ridiculous because this property was amazing!! The driveway going up the hill to the house is pretty steep but that's what it takes to get the spectacular view. Watching the Macaws every morning less than a 100 feet was such a nice morning treat.

Unbelievable!!!!
This unit is stunning and is hands down better than the 5-star resort we relocated to after our 4 day stay. If we had to do it all over again we would have stayed at Casa de mi Amada the entire trip. This unit is in a great location and the views cannot be found anywhere else. It is clean, quiet and just the ideal place for a romantic get away. We stayed here for our 32nd anniversary and are already talking about a return visit. Close to great restaurants, a short drive to the beach, and a short drive to the town of Quepos. Make sure to book the Manuel Antonio tour, Zip line tour, and spend time at Playa Espadilla beach. There, you can rent two lounge chairs and an umbrella for $10 for the day and bring your own beverages or buy them right there on the beach. The water is the perfect temp and the beach is spotless! We ate at: Emilio’s and Cafe Milagro for breakfast, Ronny’s Place, El Lagarto, Aqua Azul, and Rafael’s Terrazo for dinner. All we good but Rafael’s was out of some key dishes which we intended to order.
Love the people and vibe of Costa Rica. Can’t wait to return to Casa de mi Amada. Pura Vida!

My wife and I really looked forward to staying here after reading all the great reviews. So we booked it. Then we got to the part of meeting up with the owner to show us how to get in. The owner tells us the property manager will do it, we get in contact with him, he sends us to his assistant. Makes sense why the price is so high, they all need to make money off you. Ok so we got in, everything seemed good. We get up the next morning to find out this place is infested with huge cockroaches, I thought they were coming from the outside so I made sure all the doors/windows were closed and I placed a towel under the door that has about an inch gap underneath. I killed all of the cockroaches and then flushed them in the toilet. Next morning we wake up to find more, at first we only saw them in the bathroom then we found them on the kitchen counter and even one on our bed. These suckers were the size of quarters. On top of that the fridge was broken, it always stayed at room temperature. So we had to freeze our food and defrost it. If it wasn't for the pool and the view we would had been out of there the first night. Save your money guys
