We booked months in advance because we were attending an event that area hotels book up fast. We had stayed here the 2 years prior and had a great experience! When we arrived to check in there were no cars and no lights on, which we thought was weird. We tried to go up to the door and of course it was locked. It looked like the inside was being remodeled. We tried to call and and the number was disconnected. Needless to say we could not stay here and since it was busy weekend everything around was booked up completely. We had to drive another hour to find a room for the weekend. A little bit of notice would have been great so we could have planned better before we drove 4 hours to be let down and have to go another hour.

Beautiful on the outside.
When we arrived around 7pm, the front door was locked. Had to call and Jay was getting his dinner. We had to eat our dinner on the front porch. Finally got in and registered and discovered we were on the third floor and no elevator. I have a major hip problem so I am still paying for trecking up and down those stairs. We had only 1/4 inch of toilet paper in our room. Couldn't find Jay so we had to go buy some. There were the same, large, unopened packages filling up the lobey the whole weekend. Couldn't use the jacuzzi we paid extra for because the water was disgusting. The carpet was covered in stains We had no mattress. It was a box spring with a mattress topper on it. Jay told us that negative reviews were left by people who smoke in the room and lose their deposit. Oh, and we never saw him again after he followed us to our room and didn't even offer to help us with our luggage. Never been so horrified by a hotel stay.

The clerk was friendly and helpful and sitting on the front porch at night.
Breakfast was not offered as advertised. The room looked nothing like the website and had a musty smell. Smoking or non smoking room was not an option as advertised. It was not what we were offered when the reservation was made.

Nice country setting and has great potential with some updating and redecorating. Loved the porch swing and wrap around porch.
There was not any breakfast available. If there was this would raise my rating. Rooms were very outdated with lacked taste.

The bathroom fan and plugs didn't work. Definitely dated room, beds were extra long fulls not queens and very firm. Fridge was smaller than a dorms, no deadbolt or a way to lock the door

What a nightmare, pull in late to find out the room I booked online that had the jacuzzi tub was actually just the basic room price and wanted instead of $70 $170 for the night so I just paid it went out to get dinner with my friend came back tried to use the jacuzzi tub the jacuzzi tub doesn't even have enough hot water to fill so I try to fill this with hot water a little at a time and cannot get it to fill with hot water it goes cold after a minute the room has no windows it was crampy and medieval feeling so I go to talk to the owner and literally he escalates it to get out of my property and then let me call the police within a matter of minutes . And tried to keep the money, all of it even though we were there maybe an hour at midnight. Such a hateful person and a scammer. Do yourself a favor and get a real establishment for your lodging. Not this Frankenstein's Castle experiment

Clean, comfortable and very homey. I really liked the extra touches - night light, non slip tub mat, and bath mat to step out of tub. There was plenty of hot water, comfortable and clean bedding. I would definitely stay here again. Also a nice country setting only 2 miles from expressway. It felt more like staying at a home with nice front living room/lobby and lots of outdoor space with decks and gazebos.

The size of the room was amazing. The decor had the farm feel.
The bed was super hard, walls were paper thin. When I arrived no one was at the desk and the door was locked. I had to call someone from a number that was posted on the wall. Took them 15 minutes to get there. I had to wait in the cold.

They are in a middle of remodel inside. once it is done, it will be a great place. Convenient for our needs.

The owner/manager was very kind and helpful. He continued to check in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything.

Myself and several other guests waited in the parking lot for almost two hours waiting on someone to answer the phone or the front door that was locked. After a long drive I was ready to relax so I booked another room right down the street. Now I’m having issues getting a refund. Terrible customer service. I have multiple photos and videos of patrons walking to the door and calling with no answer.

The room was nice.
Upon arriving I told the manager I already paid, he insisted that it was only a reservation. So, reluctantly, I paid AGAIN. I double checked after and indeed booking.com already charged me, and now the manager charged me again. Either the manager was negligent and didn’t know how to properly check to see if someone already paid, or booking.com is to blame. Either way, I will be avoiding both this hotel and this booking service from now on.

I like the location of the hotel. It has a B & B feel. I never saw any staff at all except at check in. Nothing fancy, but a nice little motel for the night. It had a microwave, a small frig & a little coffee maker.
Rooms could have been a little more manicured. Main area was not impressive at all. I guess it hasn't recovered from Covid yet.

The owner/manager was not at the property very much which made us feel less than safe. One of our rooms was not very clean and the other one only had one roll of toilet tissue. Outlets in both rooms did not work. The inside of the hotel is in serious need of remodel. There was junk and trash everywhere inside and out. If we could have gotten a refund when we arrived, we would have gone somewhere else!!! Worst place we have ever stayed!!! 🙁 The man who checked us in was very nice but was not around much during the day and not at all at night after he checked us in the first night. 🙁😡
