We really loved the location. So close to mass transit. We were pleased with items that were provided, paper towel, toilet paper, some spices, and laundry detergent. Would recommend to anyone.

The property is wonderful! It’s in a quiet residential area, but it’s a quick 5 minute walk to restaurants and a grocery store. The property had everything we needed, and was comfortable.

This place is in the perfect location! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the campus of BC. It’s a quiet neighborhood with a grocery store and restaurants close by. We loved staying here when visiting BC for Family Weekend. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Three of stayed here while visiting the national parks and exploring Boston. Irida was wonderful. She was very responsive and offered many suggestions for our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt at home. Would definitely stay here again.

My 2 friends & I really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is very nice. Roche Brothers is an upscale grocery within walking distance as well as several restaurants within walking distance as well. I must say, this was the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in and all the beds were comfortable.

We were moving my daughter into her college dorm. The apartment was great and the location was so convenient. Spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The owner was wonderful and was so accommodating by letting us have some boxes delivered prior to our arrival. Communication was great too! We look forward to staying here again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our weekend in Boston. Clean, safe, and Irida was responsive. Look forward to coming back!

I have stayed at a number of VRBOs the last several years and I must say this quaint place was one of my favorites. The accommodations were great and information provided was as described in their listing. It was in close proximity to restaurants, supermarkets and specialty stores. It also was only about a 5 minute walk to the train stop which you can take to many locations including close to Fenway Park. My friends and I would definitely stay at this place should we return to Boston.

This property worked very well for us. We were two couples who have been friends since university days more than 40 yrs ago. This was a "bucket list" trip to attend a Blue Jays baseball ball game at Fenway Park before health challenges take away the ability to travel for one member of our group. Having comfortable accommodations within easy reach of public transit made our week of exploring Boston so easy. It literally let us make a dream come true (even though the Blue Jays lost!)

Nice attractive space in quiet neighborhood. Note: heavy fragrance between air fresheners and scent of laundry- challenging for those with fragrance sensitivity. Otherwise comfortable living space, easy parking, and easy access to coffee and food a block away. Depending on time of day time to Northeastern varied from 15-25 minutes of easy non-highway driving.

Nice property. Very quiet - never heard the neighbors below. The property is on the 2nd floor, which was a little more difficult for 5 over-60 year old women carrying luggage, etc. The kitchen could use some more items: sharp knives, cutting board, larger coffee pot. The bathrooms could use more room for toiletries and there is only one closet in one of the bedrooms for everyone’s hanging clothes.

This property had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable, cozy and free parking!

Very clean, quiet neighborhood, close(walking distance) to grocery store, liquor store and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again if in the Boston area and it was available. Landlord lived downstairs but you would not even know they were there. Great little place, was exactly what we needed.

The place was very nice, comfortable, and well stocked. The stairs are steep. Being on the second floor, we were concerned about making too much noise. The drive from there to Boston Common was 25 minutes. There are some great places nearby. Overall, we thought it worked well for us.

Beautiful home in a quiet and safe part of Boston. 5 minutes from bus or rail transportation to downtown Boston. We stayed here with our 4 children and had adequate space. You may want to bring your own kitchen cooking supplies (cookie sheets/colander/etc.) as the kitchen had limited options. Multiple bathrooms, dishwasher, and washer/dryer were very nice for our family of 6. Street parking was convenient. Great communication with the owner. Consider staying her for your Boston trip.

Absolutely a wonderful find. Loved the location. It was quiet location, yet close to so much. Our communication with the owner was fantastic. We would rebook without a doubt.

This is my honest opinion of the rental. The place itself was great. Enough room for everyone to feel comfortable. Location was good because it was close to everything you need relevant to the neighborhood. Great restaurants to walk to and the grocery store and a Starbucks were walking distance as well. Not so much if you wanted to Uber places in downtown Boston. Your destination may be 6 miles away but expect it to be a 30-40 min drive and a $25-$40+ Uber fare. Train is close but we never used it because travel times were longer. My one negative is the rules. Don’t get me wrong, I understand we are renting from someone who owns/lives on the property but I, as someone who is paying to stay, shouldn’t be hit with a laundry list of rules. My opinion. There was a framed list of rules ranging from where to keep the thermostat to what time we needed to be quiet. And the biggest peeve was having to take shoes off before entering. Again, I understand the situation but…
The last evening we were there, we had a loud knock on the door from someone I assumed to be a member of the family that owns the place asking what time we were leaving in the morning. I felt this was a little intrusive because they are the ones who set the checkout time so why is that even a question that needs to be asked?
I don’t mean for this to be a negative review. There were a lot of great things about the house and the owner was quite understanding of us leaving leftover beverages in the fridge from our stay. It was just a little uncomfortable for us.

This place is spacious, quiet and clean. It is a lovely place for a family or group wanting a quiet retreat away from the bustle of the city. To those wanting to sightsee in town or wander in the Boston area, I would recommend renting a car. Parking is abundant and easy here. although downtown and tourist sites are not far, you will need to either deal with freeway traffic that can get dense, or cross twon creative zigzagging through beautiful neighborhoods. It can get costly if you are using Uber or Lyft. [We went down to the Marina for dinner and it took us close to 45 minutes one way and half an hour the other.] That said, this place allows for comfortable family dinners at home, room for lounging and group conversations, and plenty of good light. We all slept in after a long flight and had only birds waking us up.

Selected this property based on the location, pictures, apparent cleanliness and price. It was my/our 1st Vrbo experience and I’m thrilled it was such a positive one! Place was immaculate and Ireda the homeowner provided all the details we needed to enjoy our stay and be informed house guests. We had a tiny issue come up when the battery of the fire alarm was beeping and Ireda resolved it immediately and effortlessly. Highly recommend both this home and Ireda, we hope we can enjoy it again soon! Thank you Ireda for an awesome weekend!!

Extremely clean. Very convenient, safe & quiet location. Centrally located & close to public transportation. Convenient location for Uber / Lyft to Fenway. Very happy with our experience and will definitely try to stay here again if we're traveling through the area.

We enjoyed our stay at Brook Farm. The layout gave our family of 4 plenty of room to spread out, and the neighborhood had everything we needed. It was a bit far from central Boston though; each Uber driver took a different way into the city but average time was 40-50 minutes. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we highly recommend Brook Farm!

Let me start by saying that Irida was very responsive and helpful, which is great!
The home is in a cool old Boston neighborhood with all the charm you'd expect. We walked up and down it and enjoyed seeing the charm of the houses and the neighborhood is considered among the safest in Boston, so that's nice too!
The house itself was very nice and had that traditional NE feel with great floors, wood trim, etc., but with the added modern elements like a very nice kitchen, nice appliances and a nice shower in the second bathroom.
A huge thing for my wife is cleanliness and this is one of the first VRBO's we've stayed in where she didn't go buy cleaning supplies and spend the first half day cleaning! It was very clean and well kept!
AC worked great (it was hot that week!), and it was nice to have a W/D, though smallish, in the unit.
Bedrooms were good sized, as were the bathrooms and the front room with the big comfy couch and big TV were great!
Only feedback would be pretty picky and that is just a few more things like extra towels, both in the bathroom and kitchen, some more additions to the kitchen (bigger cutting board, baggies, foil, cooling rack, etc.). And it could use a bit of a decorating touch, some games for kids, etc. But none of those things are a big deal at all.
The surrounding area has a great store in Roche Brothers?, and restaurants, though none are really that great, in our opinion (years in the restaurant biz has made us a bit picky tbh).
It's not far from Boston, but if you have to drive, like we did, getting back and forth get's tough with traffic, lights, etc. A short drive takes sometimes over 40min. Wish it were closer to the city, but being outside on chill days is nice.
Thanks for being welcoming!

Wonderful neighborhood
We truly enjoyed our stay and our trip to Boston. The location was convenient, the house was clean. We stayed so busy we really only slept and showered there. The ONE and only suggestion would be to consider a full size coffee maker. With a three bedroom apartment/house and multiple guests, we would have enjoyed being able to brew a full pot of coffee. Thanks for a wonderful week.

Owner is very friendly and home was perfect for what I was looking for. Great floorplan with one bedroom at the front and the other 2 rooms towards the back past the kitchen. Very cozy feel. The coffee pot was a small 2 cup machine (which did not work well for us coffee drinkers), but there is a great local coffee shop down the street in walking distance. Only issue we had was really out of anyone's control. The AC was not working properly during our stay, so the owner brought in a large portable AC unit, which cooled off the house well and additional fans for 2 of the rooms. It was unfortunate for us, but luckily we had plans for most of the day and was out visiting the beautiful city and nearby sites. We had a great stay here and the owner made it very easy for check in and check out and was available for all of my questions during out stay, :)
