DuneStruck sur St George Island a été construit par l'un des bâtisseurs renommés et a été entièrement rénové en 2015 et a fait partie du Tour of Homes 2016 de St George Island. DuneStruck est le meilleur d'une maison de la Floride «du vieux monde» tout en offrant les meilleures caractéristiques modernes d'une maison rénovée. Le premier étage comprend le salon principal avec une grande baie vitrée donnant sur le golfe du Mexique. La chambre côté plage dispose d'un lit king-size avec sa propre porte coulissante donnant sur la terrasse. La chambre arrière dispose de son propre lit king-size et d'une salle de bains privative. Une cuisine mise à jour comprend un grand réfrigérateur, un congélateur, un lave-vaisselle, un four micro-ondes, une cuisinière et une machine à glaçons pour économiser sur ces sacs de glace! La salle à manger s'ouvre sur une véranda avec sa propre table offrant la possibilité de manger en plein air! La buanderie et un bain supplémentaire sont également au premier niveau.
La grande suite parentale est à l'étage et offre ses propres vues imprenables sur le golfe du Mexique. La salle de bain principale offre une douche, une double vasque et une toilette privée. Il y a aussi un balcon d'où l'on peut admirer de magnifiques couchers de soleil.

This is a very comfortable house right on the beach. Nice walking trails and a good location on a quiet (off season) island. Pictures were accurate . The kitchen was especially well equipped and nicely updated. The mattresses were good. The owner was quickly responsive.

My whole family fell in love with St. George Island on this trip! It is the perfect combination of a not-at-all-crowded beach, yet excellent restaurants nearby. The beach is gorgeous and there were more than a few times we had it all to ourselves. We saw dolphins every single day. While out snorkeling, we saw that the ocean floor was littered with hundreds of live sand dollars! We had never seen anything like it before. The Blue Parrot was our favorite! It's hard to beat amazing food served beach side! BJ's has amazing pizza, and whatever you do, don't forget to try out Beach Pit for breakfast! On the one rainy day we had, we took the kids to the arcade on the island and they had a blast!
Apalachicola is just a short drive away with its amazing restaurants, unique shops to explore, live music in the evenings, and even a local brewery.
Dunestruck is the perfect house for a couple of families vacationing together. It's the perfect, spacious layout to enjoy comfortable family time together, while also ensuring everyone has space to be alone when they want. The view of the beach from the enormous picture windows is simply spectacular. The kitchen is large and well-stocked, which is wonderful for those nights when you just want to stay in and cook. My favorite feature is the never-ending deck space and large screened-porch, perfect for relaxing at any time of day.

The house was nice and it was clean. Loved how close it was to the ocean, we saw beautiful sunrises. Only one complaint the six of us only had one towel and washcloth each. The wash clothes were very worn and thin, other than that it was all very good.

This house is unbelievably great. The home itself is wonderful with lots of natural wood, comfy furniture and a great kitchen. Every detail is considered such as charging ports next to the beds, signs for what light switch is for what etc etc etc
The main amazing feature is being literally steps from the beach. It’s even closer than what the pictures on the listing look like.
I’ve been vacationing on the gulf coast for 40 yrs and this is by far my favorite home ever!! We hope to be back!!

My family and I LOVED this house! We tend to be rather picky when it comes to beach homes, and this one checked every box. Soft, comfortable beds, an amazing kitchen to cook in, comfortable clean furniture, lots of storage, and location!!! There were dolphins outside, feet away, nearly everyday. The ocean was mere steps away and stunning. My parents brought their dog and it was spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and a large dog. We could have invited more friends/family to stay! We contacted Buck prior to our stay with concerns about hurricane Idaliah just passing through and he was super responsive about the drive in and current state of the island. The most minor downside would be there being no dressers in the two ground floor bedrooms, but we'd much rather have had the two large king sized beds! The town itself is small and fun to explore. Everyone was so friendly, and it was such a great deal to us that nearly all places in town are dog friendly. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We all hope to return again soon!

This was our first time on St. George Island and we chose it for the quiet location and it did not disappoint! We visited in August after the locals were back in school and we loved our stay. Buck was fantastic to work with and went out of his way to address minor issues that were out of his control, even making a trip down while we were there.
The house was absolutely fantastic, so close to the beach which was absolutely beautiful and quiet and the screened in porch was a great place! It was extremely hot and muggy but the house was still comfortable especially the master bedroom with the extra AC unit. The kitchen had everything we needed and the ice maker as other reviews stated is something that now I want in every place we stay.
The beds were extremely comfortable and I meant to see what kind of pillows were on the master bed as they were great and I am picky about pillows. The master bathroom was great too.
Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return! Buck was quick to respond and it is evident they strive to provide a good experience for their guests.

Had a great time on SGI. This is our second time staying here; continues to be my favorite vacation location. The house is located on the beach and also a short walk or bike ride from neighborhood pool, tennis court, and clubhouse. Great house that had everything our family needed.

Home was clean and was the perfect size. Enjoyed the screened in patio and easy access to the beach.. We had good weather. The fishing off the beach was fantastic. Upstairs "Captain's Quarters had an amazing voiw. Beds were firm which was a very plesant relief. Overall a great place to getaway. the beach on St Geprge is always smooth and clear.

I cannot recommend the Dunestruck VRBO house in St. George Island, Florida highly enough! My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay there last week. The location, right on the beachfront, was truly stunning and provided us with the perfect backdrop for our family vacation.
As pet owners, we were thrilled to find out that this property was pet-friendly and we were able to bring our two dogs with us. This was a huge plus for us and made the trip even more special.
The upstairs master bedroom was a highlight of the house, with incredible views and an absolutely badass shower. We felt like royalty staying in this room, with all the comforts and luxuries we could ask for.
The appliances throughout the house were top-notch and made our stay even more enjoyable. From cooking dinner in the well-appointed kitchen to enjoying coffee in the morning, everything was perfect.
Our host Buck was simply incredible. He was always available to answer our questions and help us out when we needed it. His hospitality was unmatched and made our stay truly memorable.
We are already planning our next trip back to this amazing property and cannot wait to enjoy all that it has to offer again in the future. Thank you, Dunestruck, for an unforgettable vacation!

Fantastic property. We loved everything about the old Fla charm. Very comfortable sleeping. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the screened in porch. Buck was so easy to communicate with and helpful.

If you're making a trip to Florida's Forgotten Coast, you absolutely must include this house on your short list of options of where to stay.
We woke up each day to pelicans and pods of dolphin hunting and playing right in our back yard. The bluest blue crabs are there for the gathering with nothing but a simple net.
When you're done gathering the kitchen is well appointed for cooking up unforgettable family meals. The layout of the home was perfect for us. Open spaces for cooking and family time and 3 well spaced bedrooms for when it's time to rest and recover for the next day.
The outdoor activities seemed endless: bike trails, pickle ball, jet skiing, kayaking. And the quaint town of Apalachicola is a short 20 minute drive away.
The icing on the cake is the host, Buck. Communication was always clear and cordial. There is no doubt, should we travel that way again, we will seek first to stay at Dune Struck.

What an amazing beach house Dune Struck is! We loved the close proximity to the beach of course as well as the short either walk or bike ride to the pool and tennis courts. We were also so happy to be able to bring our 3 pups and invite close friends to spend some time with us on this beautiful island. We were really impressed with the kitchen amenities especially the refrigerator which may the biggest I have ever seen! We also really loved that each room had it's own on suite bath and the main bedroom upstairs has additional fabulous views!! They even have beach chairs, an umbrella and floating devices for use! Buck is a wonderful host and Dune Struck did not disappoint!!!

We have stayed at St George for years. This was our first time at Dunestruck. We loved it. The checkin process is great, Buck was so responsive, house was very comfortable, and location was great. We will definitely be back.

Perfect time
We loved the home. Can't beat the access and views to the beach, the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were very comfortable. For our little family and our nanny it was perfect. There are a couple of beach chairs at the house but we did do a rental and highly recommend it. Great stay, we will be back!

It's old florida style as it should be on St George Island . The owner was notified of household items that needed attention and I'm sure they will be attended to. Lots of steep steps so be careful . Wonderful walking and biking trails. Bring an umbrella for beach. Can't wait to return

Special Treat!
Dunestruck reminds me of a house one would find in Truro or Wellfeet, two towns on Outer Cape Cod in Massachusetts!!! Those houses sit high above the bluff and offer a sense of isolation and changing weather.
Yet, Dunestruck is in a wonderful location on St George Island in the Plantation! Florida! It is very close to the gorgeous swimming pool and tennis court and work out room. This is important as some houses can be two or three miles from these well kept facilities. The clubhouse resides there as well.
The house is warm and inviting with a kitchen that beckons one to cook a chefs meal!!! Complete with an awesome gas range and large kitchen sink. Plenty of room and counter space too.
A couple of things that stand out are how big the windows are! Especially in the master bedroom, to wake to the sunrise each day is truly beautiful!!! The front porch and deck feel secluded and the middle stair opening allow for open views.
Dunestruck is very close to the beach!

My stay was for the month of January 2022. Most days were sunny and mid 50’s with a few days of rain and clouds. Quite nice for long walks!

Web photos highly aged. Property in significant degradation. Internet did not work. All fans and ceiling lights did not work. Dishwasher useless. Deck and walkway to beach very hazardous. For the price the place was a rip off.

We spent a wonderful Week at dune struck for a family vacation. The weather was perfect with a beautiful blue skies and a slight chill in the air.
The rental home was lovely and had most all the amenities that we needed to enjoy ourselves.
The home is located in a gated community on the west end of Saint George Island. This was tastefully located and provided a great deal of privacy.
The Gulf of Mexico was mere steps away and we enjoyed long walks up and down the beach.
The kitchen provided a central location for us and was very well stocked. We enjoyed cooking meals during our vacation and found local seafood including a beautiful grouper fillet.
