Spectacular views and beautifully decorated,central location. Lovely staff. Absolutely recommend booking the larger mountain facing room...so beautiful with sunrise and sunset. Thansk Simone for being so helpful . Will absolutely stay again!

I love the location. It really works for me and my wife since I was at the cycling event, the L’Eroica Montalcino, my wife didn’t have to wait sitting at a coffee shop all day near the finish line

You are required to carry your luggage up and downstairs which was not too difficult for us but there are a few steps that can be tricky because they are slight just outside each door where you don’t expect them, and my friend fell.

Expensive of the lack of privacy. The shared kitchen/living space was outside our bedroom door, so it felt like a youth hostel sharing the living space with somebody we didn’t know, which was uncomfortable.

We stayed in the King Room with mountain view - and the view was spectacular. Although the room did not have A/C and we were staying during the high-heat of summer, the room was not too hot. With the windows open to the view, it was magnificent watching the sun rise, the clouds over the fields below and the mountains in the distance.

Location was fantastic. Simone and fulvia assisted with all of our questions and helped with a later check in.

There were ants in the bathroom and bedroom, no Air Conditionning and maid service happened once in a weeklong stay. Definitely not a $200/night value for what amounts to an Air-BnB

Simone’s place is a gem in this town … Could not be in a more perfect location. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the views from the common room. Thank you Simone for the amazing stay.

It was advertised as having a fantastic Tuscan view, but our rooms faced onto the street. It wasn’t clear to us that this was a private listing and not a hotel, and that also caused us difficulty, but that was not the owner’s fault. No parking—you’ll want to leave your car outside of town so you save the stress.

No staff was available at check in. I had to call them twice to arrange time to get keys to room. this is not a hotel room. Our check in time was 3 hours delayed. Also, The room had an ants infestation

Neely renovated, conveniently located. Quiet at night but in a great location for restaurants and wine bars. Having close access to restaurants and other shops offsets the lack of nearby parking.

WiFi not operational yet after renovation. Located in a Limited Traffic Zone so access is a little challenging and parking is 10 minutes walk away.

This place is amazing! The view from the room is priceless and the host Simone is very kind, friendly and helpful and has a lot of superb suggestions! You must also try his mom's restaurant Alle Logge!

We had a short, 2-night stay in Montalcino, but we absolutely enjoyed it. Initially, we did not want to stay within the city but found Suite Corso Matteotti 37 to be a perfect place for our stay here. The location is great, and there is a huge parking lot with plenty of places (enter the parking lot and go further down, park on the gravel and you don't need to pay) within walking distance. The room: the bed is comfortable, the light switches are nearby, there is 1 plug behind the bed, one close to the TV. We had a decent place to store our luggage and clothes away. The window isolates perfectly and it overlooks some great scenery. Sometimes we heard some noises from down the street via the bedroom door, but it wasn't enough to keep us from not sleeping. The bathroom: functional, with everything you need, and good shower pressure. There was a lingering smell, but you tend to get that every time you stay in very old city centers. The highlight was the shower window that had some absolutely amazing views of the rolling Tuscan hills. Perhaps a bit uncomfortable to try and shower with the window open, but otherwise hands down, the best view from a shower, ever! The communication: while we were a bit confused at first, Simone offered us answers to all of our questions and was available whenever we needed help. Checkin and checkout were easy, and we did not have any issues. The surroundings: I'd recommend a few places in Montalcino for your stay here: for basic but decent breakfast with a view go to Bar Belvedere - the cafeteria part that is open in the morning, for a slice of Italian morning life have a seat at the Alle Logge di Piazza terrace. For a delicious Tuscan dinner with quality ingredients try L'Angollo. Give Enoteca Grotta del Brunello a try for some cold cuts, cheese and wine, and you will not regret it, the quality is out of this world. Furthermore, order some wine for back home from Enoteca la Fortezza, you won't regret it.
