The location is ideal for so many things . Grocery shopping 'swimming , buses , restaurants , and more . The condo was ideal for short or long stays . It was very well equipped , clean , with easy walkout to the beautiful pool and grounds . When we needed something management and owner responded immediately . We would love to come back again . GREAT LOCATION THE ROOMS ARE A GOOD SIZE 24 HOUR SECURITY WONDERFUL SWIMMING POOL AND GROUNDS CLOSE TO BARS RESTAURANTS SHOPS AND THE HOLTOWN BEECH BEST ON THE ISLAND IVE BEEN TO THEM ALL CANT WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN DONT FORGET TO WATCH THE SUNSET AT THE BEECH.PROPER PERFECT

We stayed in this unit for two weeks. It was okay but there were a few things that could make it a better stay. The owners aren’t close by and things are not being maintained. The entire apartment needs a good deep clean, not just surface cleaned between bookings. We found a greasy dirty cookie sheet in the oven from the last guests and what looked like dried spaghetti sauce all over the Venetian blinds on the patio. When we arrived, there wasn’t even a bar of soap in the bathroom. One roll of toilet paper. Most rentals have a welcome package of a few items to get you started. This place was bare bones at best. The shower drain was clogged and we were standing in 3-4 inches of water. They did send someone to fix it, however that took two days. The fan in the bedroom has only one speed…Ultra fast which is very noisy for sleeping. A new fan is definitely needed. The way the units are set up, your neighbours bathroom is right next to your bathroom and bedroom. We were unlucky enough to have extremely loud neighbours who kept us awake a good portion of the night with gross hacking sounds. And being on the ground floor the taxis would fly by your bedroom window at all hours. People walking down the hall at midnight were loud even though it’s supposed to be quiet after a certain hour. The front desk staff do nothing to keep people quiet or keep the taxis from speeding into the parking lot. I used earplugs the entire time and it barely helped. There is no wifi in this apartment either which was not handy at all. The wifi in the lobby doesn’t work very well and was a pain every time you wanted to use the Internet. I was not able to send emails the entire trip no matter what wifi network I tried in the building. There is also no screen on the sliding door so you had to keep it closed so mosquitoes didn’t get in. We loved Goldenview itself, but would rent a different unit next time.

First stayed in Jan-Feb 2022 This ground floor apartment with original features is homely and comfortable and very well equipped. There is one bedroom with en-suite, kitchen, lounge and dining area. There is ample wardrobe storage space and a safe. There are some lovely paintings around the property of local scenes, possibly painted by one of the family. There is a pretty patio/balcony with comfortable furniture which overlooks the gardens. For me, I would like the shrubbery in front of the patio to be reduced in height in order to see the gardens. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained and the whole complex is peaceful and quiet, ideal for older guests. The pool is a good size and provides plenty of sun loungers. There is also a popular Chinese restaurant on site. They say it’s the little things that make a difference and you’ll find lots of these. The beaches, bus stops and supermarket are all an easy walk away as are shops and restaurants. The apartment does not have its own wi-fi but this is freely available in the lobby and ‘library’. The owner Kate is kind, generous and very responsive to questions and queries, a delight to deal with. Feb 2023 The apartment is in a great location for easy access to beaches, shops and the supermarket Massey. The surrounding gardens and pool are very well maintained, though a little noisy on grass cutting day! This was our second stay here and feel that it really needs its own wi-fi. The community wi-fi was very difficult to connect to and not reliable. Also, the shower was a bit intimidating. It can take a while for the hot water to come through, then occasionally it’s not very hot and other times it is scalding. Be careful.

This is my third stay at Golden View condos, first at this apartment. Ground floor with a covered table and chairs in the garden right outside the patio. Very convenient as wifi is only available outside. Apartment was very well equipped with everything you would need, kitchen had full size stove which is unusual for Barbados. Twin beds also a bonus with air conditioning in bedroom that was appreciated at night since it was very hot and humid during our stay. Monkeys came to garden most afternoons, lovely! Pool is terrific and although it was quiet when we were there, we met lovely people who we hope to see again! No issues with covid rules, masks worn in all public places including corridors and to and from pool. An excellent stay!
