What an amazing place to spend a weekend (or a lot longer). Spotlessly clean, centrally located (yet out of the hustle and bustle) and so well equipped. Even with rain for our first 36 hours, the place just worked - lots to do for the kids in the games room and great leather couches to just cuddle up with a glass of wine. Would love to come back in high summer to enjoy the river. Firepit was great. Thanks agains for amazing stay - we will be back.

My daughter asked if we could move here, or come for at least a week next time. This will be the first of many annual family trips with my brothers and their families.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful home and host! Charles went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our long weekend in Wimberley! The house is well appointed and comfortable; lots of towels, dishes and comfortables places to relax! The pool is perfect for cooling off and the backyard has a gorgeous view of the creek. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends and we will be back!

Before I decided on a property, I read all of the reviews on this one which were excellent of course but really none of them do this property justice. The house is BEAUTIFUL, immaculately kept, and incredibly clean. It's like you have walked back in time in the most beautiful way...so many classic books in bookshelves, antique furniture, and a really amazing home-like feel. When staying at this property, it really feels like you are staying at a dear friend's house...there are so many amenities and there is literally everything you can imagine needing right there. The kids had a really good time on the tree swing outside, the pool was beautifully kept and was a great place to spend our afternoons. Out in the back is an amazingly gorgeous view with provided tubes, kayaks, and more for the kids to enjoy. We got to see armadillo, an entire family of deer, hummingbirds, and just the peaceful serene beauty of the atmosphere around us. The check-in process was seamless and Mr. Duggan was very responsive to any texts and communication. The kids absolutely loved the game room with Wii, XBox, lots of family board games, an amazing DVD collection, foos ball, and so much more. They were NEVER bored and most definitely did not want to leave! After the kids went to bed, it was really nice to curl up in one of the leather chairs and enjoy reading a few books from the plethora of titles as well as the piano there which I hadn't played in years, but found myself enjoying again. Overall, this is an amazing property with so much to do and so much to experience for all ages. I would highly recommend this property and this experience to ANYONE wanting to stay in beautiful Wimberley. It's only 0.4 miles from the Square so we got to enjoy the shopping and restaurants as well right there! My family had a wonderful time here and we will be returning again!

Mill Race Lodge is hands down the best spot to vacation in Wimberley! I have 4 teens that live with their phones and games in their hands. THEY PUT THE ELECTRONICS DOWN! The house was beautiful and spacious as well as the property! There was plenty to keep us all actively doing something: fishing, relaxing in the tubes, strolling down the creek in kayaks or on paddle boards, taking a dip in the pool, movies, books, board games and more! We will be booking again next summer!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mill Race Lodge. The solar heated pool was great and so was the creek in the backyard. We definitely look forward to returning soon!!!

This was such a fun experience! The cabin is whimsical, clean, and makes for such an easy stay. The pool is warm as advertised and very clean. The creek is beautiful with plenty of shade with its towering trees. We used the creek toys- the paddle board was fun. We cooked in the kitchen and used the grill and found all that we needed. We also ate dinner in Wimberley twice and just decided to walk there- was only about a third of a mile walk to the square. We had a great time and will definitely return!

The house was perfect, and the surroundings were enchanting! We were so relaxed, we loved drinking coffee on the front porch and the back porch getting to view the creek with all the beautiful oak trees around. At night the fire flies would come out and it was Beautiful. Charles was very accommodating, he has thought of everything to the very last little detail to make your stay comfortable. He also was available anytime we had a question. We would recommend this property to anybody that was looking at it, and we’re also thinking about coming back! We loved it so much! Laura H. Everything you could ever need for a beautiful weekend away is at your fingertips in this home. Our family has grown (seven adults) and we all found that we had plenty of space and areas to stretch out, explore, play games and relax. The house is laid out nicely, with a sunroom for breakfast and games in the evening, spacious, lovely living room for any TV time, fully stocked kitchen for big meals, heated large pool for relaxing and a nice, quiet stretch of the creek for canoing and kayaking (all of which are provided). Charels was very accomodating with any and all questions and requests. Beautiful yard to host our large Easter egg hunt!! We will certainly be looking forward to our next stay!

This was my first experience with Vrbo. Our family loved the property. The house is beautiful, with every amenity you would ever need. The walk to town made it easy for day trips to shop and eat. Charles was a wonderful host!

Great Location and Everything we needed for a get away with friends!!

Exactly as described plus some! Upon arrival at Mill Race lodge, you are greeted by a beautiful private entrance and lush landscape. The gated pool is so inviting and the large trees provide the perfect picnic setting. The house and property are beautifully decorated with original art and all modern conveniences. Comfortable linens and an epic movie collection make for cozy nights. The pool was clean and heated to perfection. My kids loved every minute! Air hockey was a big hit! The creek and grounds are so lush and perfect for a kayak. This property meets all expectations. 10/10

From pulling in the driveway to opening the front door, this property was everything the pictures show and more! My family had a great weekend in spite of chilly, rainy weather. The heated pool was truly enjoyed since the creek and kayaks was not inviting due to the weather. We will do it again!!

We love this home!!! It was so very comfortable and calming. The backyard was a jewel! Right on Cypress Creek. Birds and deer were daily visitors. If you want a relaxing rental you can't go wrong with this home. It was a welcome respite from the chaos of our daughter's wedding at the Wildflower Country Inn!!!! We will definitely be back!!!
