The house was great and communicating with the owner was very east. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great time at the property- immediately we were impressed with the cleanliness. We spent most of our visit skiing at the local hills. Back to the house for apres ski and some time in the hot tub- the whole family enjoyed it! The location of the house was perfectly situated near fine dining, hiking trails and ski resorts. Would we come back again? Absolutely. We felt right at home and recommend it to anyone looking to get back to nature in style.

Everything about this property was amazing. The interior decor was beautiful and very clean with thoughtful modern touches. Ryan was super responsive and helpful - we hope we can return some day!

Really can’t express how great it was to stay at this property. Ryan was a pleasure to work with, especially given the fact that we extended our stay numerous times due to COVID. We were there from May 1 to July 22. The house has everything you need and the location is perfect. Highly recommend!!

This house is great because it sits up on a hill and is away from the highway and major roads. The grounds are well kept with lots of outdoor furniture, a fire pit, hot tub and bbq. Inside each room is well appointed with every detail thought through. Loved how stocked the kitchen was and great linens in the bedrooms. This became our second home and look forward to booking it again.

Ryan was extremely attentive and responsive to any questions I had about the house or the area. It's a short drive to great restaurants (we loved Peekamoose and The Phoenician) and the house is just so awesome and well stocked -- there were nights we just stayed in and cooked. Ryan even furnished the house with books pertaining to local history so they were fun to flip through. I highly recommend staying here! You will love it. :)

Ryan's house is a high quality home in the Catskills. Ryan supplies everything you could want in a house. Plenty of pots and pans, central air conditioning, hot tub, lots of windows, great WiFi, comfortable couch and bed. We stayed for 5 weeks. It is out in the country, so most things are a bit of a ride to get to. There is plenty of hiking right close by. Ryan is an excellent host.

This was actually our second time visiting this place. One of the coworker moved to other company and before she legitimately resigned, we decided to give a visit again to the place where we had great memories. The owner, Ryan, was very accommodating as before. He was caring from the beginning to the end. Upon arrival we found the gift from Ryan, champagne!! He even left a hand-written note of warm welcoming. House was amazing as before as well, fireplace was all ready to kick-in, all new furnitures were very clean. What I have noticed in our second visit is that kitchen wears, dishes and silverwear etc - changed into new ones. This tells me that the owner is actually caring of his customers. All the sauces, oil and kitchen needs were re-filled (purchased as brand new of course), all you need to do is simply walk in, everything else is ready! Will definitely give a visit again later time, 100% recommend!!

My family and I recently visited the Red House on the Hill and had a wonderful time. The house was immaculate, comfortable and close to so many fun things to explore! Highly recommend and will certainly be back.

We have gathered a three generation family into this fabulous house in an amazing setting and didn't want to leave! This is not our first or second time taking a home in the area but it was definitely our best choice so far. The house fitted the 8 of us perfectly, especially when you can accommodate the kids in one of the upstairs rooms. The kitchen is well equipped. The fire pit was a great joy and the beautiful backyard and the surrounding just made it all enchanting. I typically have something to say for improvement but couldn't find anything here. Ryan was great to communicate with. Already planning on returning in the spring!

This is one of those places that looks even better than the pictures. The furnishings are gorgeous yet functional. The kitchen and household supplies were fully stocked. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Ryan responded immediately to the few small issues we had. We stayed for a month and hope to do so again. It was our first time in the area and we had so much fun. We found some great hikes and restaurants (Phoenicia Diner, Sweet Sue’s and Peekamoose) Company all wanted to visit Woodstock which is an easy drive. There is a nice lake for swimming very close that all the grandkids enjoyed. We also enjoyed walking the bridge over the Hudson and visiting DIA in Beacon. We had a lot of rain and the house was perfect for those days as it has a great screened porch and we enjoyed endless games of Cribbage. One surprising aspect for us was how uncrowded the area is particularly during the week. Overall just a perfect time for us.

Stayed 6 of us plus our dog for Memorial Day Weekend. The house is very functional, with great mountain views and very very nicely decorated. Very quiet and relaxing to escape the big city life. The garden in the back is very ample and the firepit is one of the highlights!! Everything works great and the owner is extremely responsive. He is clearly on top of all the details, even welcomed us with a bottle of red wine. Tons of great hikes nearby. Look forward to coming back soon!

Beautiful and private! This is our second time staying at Red House. We love the fire pit, the cozy living room, and the privacy! The homeowner is great to work with and very responsive! We're looking forward to future stays.

We rented the home for the 2017-18 season and were there every weekend as well as Christmas and winter breaks. The house was immaculate when we got there and cleaned professionally once a month. It actually felt like it had been very recently renovated. There were seven of us in all - three adults and four children. Plenty of room for a seasonal home. We had a few big storms and the access road and driveway were kept clean. Owners are extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful, clean house perfect for hosting a quiet getaway for up to 8 people. We loved the grounds, especially the firepit. It was private but close to great amenities. Ryan was lovely to work with: clear instructions and quick responses to any question we had. He was flexible and organized and everything was completely straightforward. The furnishings were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property both for its lovely character and easygoing homeowner!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked too, with all the little details (condiments, utensils etc) that make a big difference. Very organized, tidy and elegant, and also a very cozy home. Ryan was very helpful at all times.

The home is so welcoming and absolutely beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice! The location was perfect for lots of local activities and then escaping to enjoy quiet mornings and nights in solitude. I would highly recommend this property. It's truly the perfect getaway.

The Red House on the Hill is the perfect getaway in the country. The owners have thought of everything (even providing the gift of wine when we arrived)! From the house manual to the immediate availability of the owners, our hosts thought of everything to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be returning to the Red House on the Hill!
