The food, the beautiful cabin and the surroundings are superb but by far, the personalised attention to detail is unmatched. Each guest is catered to as if they are family and it's honestly spectacular to experience. This was our second visit and there is always a danger that an establishment will not live up to the previous experience but 4 years later and nothing has changed in terms of the quality and experience.

The food was delicious and it wasn't too much trouble to make my toddlers a toasted sandwich and chips when they didn't want what was on offer.

Outstanding. The staff is exceptional. Our guide, Hein, is one of the best I've ever seen. We had a family from Taiwan with us. Hein did everything possible to give the 4 year old boy an unforgettable experience. For all staff, nothing is too much and they all assist with a smile. This was one of our best lodge experiences. The food was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

We spent 2 nights here and I must say it was excellent . very very amazing experience. The stuff were amazinggg. Busi the receptionist was friendly and she made sure everything was perfect ❤️ bartenders KG and William made our stay phenomenal. Ask for a cocktail,,,KG got you! He makes the best cocktails ever and he makes it with passion. The food was just delicious throughout our stay. Thank you nico and beauty. I promise we got back home fat lol And the waiters were lovely 😍 thank you kenny rosina and John. They were 👌. The game driveee phewwww!!!! It was the most crazily amazingly awesome experience everrrr. Our driver's name was Han. God bless him. He was really really fan to be around soo professional, he knows his stuff very well. Patient too. Thank you han for being you. 🤩 thank you safari management Jimmy, Tom and more you guys are doing an amazing. The rooms were clean all the time. The lovely ladies would clean twice a day. All in all safari plains were An amazing life experience. They make sure what you paid for is there and many more. Thank you everyone. we think we may have arrived when many staff had gone in leave…the service was very slow and unfortunately Thomson’s of the food was a little cold. We feel a little more attention to detail would make this a wonderful stay. It was a real shame not to experience a braai during our 3 night stay 😢.

Breakfast was nothing special, Sundays breakfast was better.

The food does not taste like anything. They do serve nice food, but the taste is not good.

The accommodation was very comfortable and the cleaner made an effort to make the room attractive.

Although the staff did make an effort to be friendly it all seemed quite chaotic and we never knew who was actually doing what and who should be attending to us. On arrival, the manager seemed to be having an informal staff meeting and we were barely greeted. Staff seemed not to be aware of what travelers staying at a safari lodge would be interested in. A multitude of forms was thrust in front of us on arrival (we could have done these online before we arrived) and then again, the staff member who started the process disappeared without explaining how things worked and finishing the welcoming process. our Covid forms with all our personal information were left lying on the table until presumably someone took them away. Afternoon rests in our tent were twice disturbed - once with the phone ringing asking what drinks we wanted on the game drive (this could have been asked on arrival) and the 2nd time with a staff member who walked all the way to get our lunch tab signed - yet our tariff was on a full board basis, so what was the need for this? Surely staff should know that guests who wake up before 5am to go on a game drive do not wish to be disturbed in their rooms during the day? Another priority at a game lodge charging these prices is that food should be excellent and imaginative. Sadly, the meals were very average. Dinner on our 39th anniversary (which we had notified when booking) was spent sitting at a table in the lounge (apparently the dining room was too small to fit all the guests), propped up on cushions as the chairs didn’t match the table, having to walk to the far end of the adjacent dining room to get our pre-cooked braai buffet and struggling to get the attention of a waiter to refill our glasses. It was a very disappointing meal.
