The house was lovely, it's an old home fixed up to a modern-day retreat. The host was wonderful with all our accommodation requests. The house was clean, and perfect for our weekend getaway. They even had coffee for you, even though we brought our own. It was a 10-minute walk to downtown, and we felt very safe. Great little getaway.

The cleanest, most well stocked home I ever stayed in. Attention to detail from bed pillows to stocking more than enough essentials so we weren’t running to the store all the time. Can’t say enough about the property.

The location is great, it has cool antique feel to it and is very clean. The downtown area is in walking distance which was perfect.

Beautiful craftsman bungalow. Well appointed. Beds super comfortable. Towels soft and fluffy. James, the host, was there to greet us and readily available for our questions about local eateries and the area. Kind and accommodating. You couldn't ask for more.

As a group of 5 ladies weekend get away, we thank our host and loved the house. Really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch with ceiling fans to keep us cool, we spent alot of time out there! Close to Redingtons shopping for antiques and downtown, with all the shops and restaurants. We definately will be back and will stay here again!

Wonderful location & great accommodations ! Mt Dora is great little town. Mr Homich, our VRBO host, was very pleasant and easy to communicate with and the house was lovely ! This was our second stay at the Royellou house and we would book again. Greatly enjoyed our visit !!

Overall, 5 out of 5 stars. We absolutely loved our stay. Here are the categories we wanted to highlight. Location: conveniently located near downtown Mt Dora- easy walk to morning coffee, shopping and dining. Another great perk is if you want to venture into Orlando for Disney, Universal, etc, it was a quick 45 minute drive. Enjoy all Orlando has to offer then come back to a quaint little town, away from the chaos and relax at the end of a long day. Accommodations: very comfortable. Nest-like thermostat keep the AC nice and cool for the Florida heat. All the rooms were very comfortable. The mattresses were amazing, great pillows and upgraded linens for the beds and bathrooms. Each room had TVs with access to cable and streaming services. WiFi was great for checking work emails and getting a little work done. The kitchen was outfitted with all we needed and a nice kettle to have our evening tea. There was also a washing machine and dryer so we were able to do all of our wash and come home with clean clothes. There was plenty of parking and a great front porch and balcony off the upstairs room. We really loved this home and the attention to detail the owners put in to making their guests feel comfortable.

This was a perfect house and location for us to enjoy Mount Dora and a family wedding.

This beautifully maintained and updated craftsman from the 19th Century was perfect for our family (5 adults) as we were in town for a family reunion. Working with the owner was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking in the Mount Dora area. It is close to the shops and restaurants in the quaint downtown. We were very pleased with our stay.

The property is beautiful and exactly as advertised. In fact, it is better in person. The house has great amenities and has all that you need for your stay. The owner was overall responsive to my texts. The location is convenient to town. My family and I would definitely consider staying there again on our next visit to Florida.

The house looks exactly as the pictures show. Very comfortable and roomy for 6 girls on our trip. The location is great. It’s about 1/4 mile from the downtown area. Very walkable. The owner was easy to work with and made the check in and out process easy I would stay here again on our next trip to Mount Dora.

This lovely home was an easy walk to town and very comfortable for 5 adults, 2 couples and a single. House was stocked nicely with items needed (trash bags, paper towels etc) so there was no need to “run and shop”. Beds were excellent, tv’s in all the right places, nice washer/dryer and comfortable front porch for hanging out. The property was CLEAN! Truly clean, not just surface clean. We probably appreciated this the most! Would definitely stay here when returning to Mount Dora.

Convenient location in Mt. Dora. Very clean and nice home!

Fit the bill. Convenient to downtown, shopping and highway access. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Beds are very comfortable. Spent a lot of time on the front porch having coffee, people watching, and enjoying evening cocktails. Plenty of storage and closet space. Plenty of parking, great 2-zone AC/Heat. We had guests visit and they were also comfortable.

We stayed for 3 nights the place had everything we needed, we sat on the porch , enjoyed our walk to town which was only 4 blocks. we would diffently stay there again

This is a lovingly maintained home, exceptionally clean and uncluttered. It includes all the basics you would need for your stay including kitchenware, plenty of pillows, blankets and towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, paper towels, toilet paper, detergent etc. The bedrooms are well isolated from each other providing sound protection and privacy. We had a cold snap and the heating system was efficient and quiet. I would definitely rent this again.

Such a beautiful, well maintained historic home! We spent a girls weekend in Mount Dora before Christmas. The Royellou house is an easy 10 minute walk to downtown. James is a great host. Easy check in, plenty of parking, all the amenities you need. The house was very clean with comfortable bedding, great natural light, and a charming front porch. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again!!!

We were 6 adults for a long weekend and fell in love with this home. We enjoyed the front porch so much. Extremely clean and the owner was so accommodating. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent location - was able to leave the car at the house and walk 7-10 minutes to town. We will be back!! What a perfect location for Mt Dora! I stayed here with my two older teen daughters for a “girls weekend” eating and antiquing. The house was in walking distance of town and easy driving distance to the Renningers antique fair. The landlord was very responsive when we had a slight remote control issue with one of the TVs. I would definitely return.
