La rue Saint-Louis en l'île est la rue principale de l'île, très animée pendant la journée, très calme le soir, avec de nombreux commerces (bistrots, restaurants, boulangeries, boucheries, fromageries, etc.). Vous ressentirez sur l'île une atmosphère que vous ne trouverez nulle part ailleurs à Paris, une ATMOSPHÈRE DE PETIT VILLAGE. Tous les immeubles de l'île datent des XVI' et XVII' siècles.

I wish I could have stayed longer. As others have said, it feels more like a home than other places listed. I cooked some simple meals and was pleasantly surprised to see excellent pans in the cupboard. The hot water is almost instantaneous in all faucets which I also appreciated. The bathroom and living area is spacious with is also rare to find in Europe. The neighborhood is charming and neighbors helpful. There's an amusing cat on an upper floor who walks herself down to the ground floor and waits for the next random resident to unlock the atrium door and let her out for a stroll. Don't hesitate to book this home, you will be comfortable and may just feel like at local.

Comfortable even on hot summer days. Convenient to so many landmarks plus great Boulangeries, restaurants, cheese shops, a little market and ice cream. Would love to stay again.

We had a lovely week’s stay here. The central location is spectacular. We enjoyed the apartment and it is well run and managed. Definitely recommend the car service if flying in from abroad. Not a single complaint.

The apartment was just as described on the website. It is charming with all the amenities we needed including stove, refrigerator, lovely large windows overlooking the street, TV, audio system and tons of books.

We loved this location but would warn older people of the stairs anywhere in Paris. Most buildings don’t have elevators and it’s awkward to get suitcases up and down. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and we’re able to walk to most of the sites in Paris. We also had lots of shops, restaurants and galleries on the island.

Great location on Saint Louis en L’isle. Deuxieme etage. Only negative is early morning garbage being picked up from courtyard. There is a good boulangerie next door for croissants. Owner is helpful and the pickup from the airport is a nice plus for tired travelers.

This is a charming apartment in a great location. The apartment is centrally located with many nice restaurants and shops right at your doorstep. The metro stop by Notre Dame is a short walk that will get you to Versailles and Eiffel tower with no changes. We walked to the Louvre and Pompidou. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Communication was very good and the whole process simple.

We very much enjoyed our two week stay in the apartment. The location is perfect for all activities. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. We experienced two minor problems - the Wi-Fi stopped temporarily and one set of apartment keys stopped working but Phillipe responded very quickly and both issues were solved promptly. We recommend this apartment very highly.

My daughter and I stayed here for a week. The location was near to ALL. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, everywhere: over the bridge to the Notre Dame and more shops. Beautiful and safe streets for walking everywhere. We were met by Connie,: the check in was simple. People we met raved about Rue San Louis, and the island it's on. The bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen area were both spacious and very clean. Great for people watching thru the large and airy front windows. Many circular steps going up to the apt. Good for the legs. LOL

Very charming, excellent location, minutes to metro stops, lots of wonderful local restaurants, bakeries, wine shops, groceries right on the island.
The owner’s recommended driver, Eleanore, was very prompt. Her London cab (!) was very roomy, clean, and with a microphone for easy chatting in English. We used her for 3 different excursions and recommend her to all.

I took my teenage nephews to Paris for the first time and wanted a nice location for them to explore. This apartment was everything we wanted and more! Philippe (our host) was communicative, knowledgeable and friendly. The apartment is beautiful and is exactly as advertised. The neighborhood is perfect and, even though it is in the very center of Paris, it’s calm and quiet. Highly, highly recommend this place!!!

The cross ventilation provided by the large windows only adds to the allure of this apartment on a beautiful street, with La Fromagerie de L'Islea below, the Boulangerie Martin and the Boucherie Gardil on the same block! On the opposite side of the street, again on the same block is the Berthillon ice cream shop. A 4 minute walk to the river Seine and a 7 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral gives you an quick appreciation for the location of his apartment. On our second morning we rented Vélib' bikes and road less than 30 minutes to the Eiffel Tower (and took an Uber back).
We were met at the apartment by Connie, Philippe's ever so helpful assistant, and the apartment itself is quite comfortable and is furnished with all that you will need for a wonderful visit to Paris.
One of my daughters has already recommended this apartment to a friend for her family's vacation in 2018, and we would love the opportunity to stay there again ourselves.

Philippe the ownwer was always avialable, as well as Connie . He provided us with transportation to and for the arport which was a great service.
The apartament met our expectations and the neighbourhood exceeded them.

We have rented several apartments in Paris over the years, and Philippe's is by far the best.
It is spacious, clean, warm and above all, very comfortable. This was particularly important to us as unfortunately we were both unwell on this visit and so spent rather more time indoors than we normally would! The two sofas are extremely comfortable and we were very glad indeed to have them.
The location, on the lovely Ile St Louis is perfect. It is convenient for the RER and the Metro lines, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I can't think of a nicer area of Paris to be based in.
All our arrangements worked like clockwork and Connie was very helpful with information on our arrival. She also arranged a taxi transfer back to the airport for us at short notice as we just didn't feel up to tackling the RER. That was so convenient and such good value I think we would do it again, although in the past we have always just used public transport.
We managed to get to two good art exhibitions, in the Palais de Luxembourg and the Petit Palais,and to the Christmas Market on the Champs Elysee. The Christmas crib in Notre Dame was lovely.
It's a shame that we were both so under the weather, but we still managed to have a good time. This was largely due to the apartment...... if we had been stuck in a hotel room it would have been miserable. We look forward to returning and being able to get out and about more!

My husband and I stayed at Philippe's apartment in April 2014, my sister and her husband stayed there later that year, and just last week my brother and his girlfriend stayed (I arranged the rental for them after my plans changed and I had to stay with my sister down the street). It was, as before, PERFECT! Philippe and his assistants, Connie and Ionna take care of everything, and his driver, Sylvain was fantastic. Then, of course, there's the apartment--comfortable, perfect location, nicely furnished, and an ideal home away from home. I've recommended this apartment to many friends and family who all love it as much as I do. The Ile is quintessentially Parisian--fabulous restaurants (Mon Vie Ami in particular) and great shopping, all with a small town feel just steps from all that Paris has to offer.

This the perfect location with the perfect setting so stop looking any other other apartments. It feels like you are in a private little village with the pastry shop below, next to the cheese shop, next to the wine shop, next to the incredible restaurants and across the street from a wonderful gelato store. Only steps from the apartment are fantastic night views of Notre Dame and the brightly lighted Eiffel Tower in the distance. Don't miss a lunch at Cafe Med which is on the same street.
Connie and Phillipe are perfect to work with and do utilize the service to be picked up at the airport and returned with the private car. Much, much easier than trying to deal with the metro, cabs or buses.
Loved our stay there and enjoyed the great collection of classical music while enjoying our wine and cheese. Very clean and cozy.
We will only stay here again in the future and not even consider another apartment.

The perfect place to stay for either a couple or a family. The location is as central as you could wish for but some how Ile Saint-Louis is calmer than the its surroundings and has a village feel to it. The apartment is comfortable and completely authentic - good bathroom, small but well equipped kitchen, and mezzanine floor with ladder kept kids entertained. We were well looked after and had a wonderful time in Paris for almost a week!

My 18 yr. old daughter and I spent a lovely week in Paris at this location. Although I had traveled to Paris many times, it was my daughter's first time there. We both absolutely loved Ile Saint Louis! The location of this apartment is the best. After spending the day out and about we loved hearing the accordion player as we crossed the bridge to come "home." The accomodations are exactly as described and we could not have asked for more. Philippe was a pleasure and he promptly answered all my questions. If you are considering staying here, look no further. I hope to be back!

Staying in an apartment is so much more comfortable than a hotel. The location is the best in the city of Paris. Beautiful and full of historic settings. If you want to be a Parisian for a week, stay at this location. Great communication and guidance.

Great location and apartment for 4 adults. Quiet street with great restaurants out the front door. Connie and Sylvain add to the positive overall experience. Everything is as described with everyone very eager to help and make your stay enjoyable. Would definitely rent again.
