This is a great house - so spacious and with a great floor plan/outdoor area. The location is perfect and the view is incredible. The only drawback for us was the housekeeping which had clearly been done in a rush so we needed to spruce things up on arrival but otherwise we had a perfect stay and enjoyed our comms with the owner!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heron house located right on Blueys Beach, and overall, it was a spectacular experience. The location couldn't have been better – with the stunning beach just steps away, offering breathtaking views. The house itself was very comfortable, and it's clear that the owners have put thought into providing a cozy and enjoyable environment for their guests. The spacious living areas and well-appointed bedrooms were a highlight, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. However, upon our arrival, we did encounter a minor issue with cleanliness. It seemed that the housekeeper may have let the owner down in this regard, as the cleanliness didn't quite match the overall quality of the house. Nevertheless, this was a relatively small hiccup in an otherwise wonderful stay. The only significant improvement I would suggest is regarding the kitchen facilities. The stove top had some issues with burners not operating effectively, with only one or two out of the five working as expected. Additionally, it would have been convenient to have a microwave included in the kitchen appliances. Despite these minor drawbacks, the beach house on Blueys Beach offered a fantastic getaway experience. With a little attention to cleanliness and a few kitchen upgrades, it would easily earn a five-star rating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful beachfront retreat in a breathtaking location.

We love Blueys Beach and love Heron House. It has everything you need and the view is amazing. Making a nice meal in the well equipped kitchen, lighting the fire, hot outdoor shower as you come directly off the beach, lovely neighbours and pet friendly.

Our family had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Herron House. Excellent beachfront view. Great location and workable layout. Host was easy to deal with and reliable. House is on the “rustic” side of modern and needs a solid clean, just to set expectations. Plus BYO bedding.

The property is amazing and has everything you could want (except maybe kids' beach toys). It is right on the beach and there is a path down to the sand that takes 2 minutes. There are two excellent coffee shops 5 minutes walk away and some cute boutiques as well. Blueys Beach is turquoise and fabulous, although it can sometimes be choppy. And we saw dolphins three times during our stay. Tony was responsive and helpful, and check in was easy. Our only issue was that the house could do with a deep clean. The top of the fridge is quite dirty, for example. And it is a bit of a pain having to take or rent linen as you have to spend the first half an hour of your stay making up beds! On balance, the house is perfectly located and laid out for a big family (or a couple of families) to spend a glorious holiday by the beach.
