This is a beautiful 'holiday' home - very classily done by the lovely owners - who are kind, helpful and professionsl. They've made a stunning home - very modern, great lighting, all mod cons, gorgeous bedrooms - the main one has the most amazing view and a stunning beautiful bathroom. The bed linen + towels are high quality, all furnishings are superb. Lovely personal touch such as some free drinks in the fridge + fruit. They kindly gave great recommendations to us for restaurants/cafes. Without hesitation we would go back here + would recommend it to anyone. The best place we stayed at out of 11 different b+b's/homes on our 2-week trip in Puglia/Matera as a family of 5. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.

Lamia Matera 11 was perhaps the most beautifully decorated and stylish vacation apartment we have ever rented. It was absolutely immaculate. Beds comfortable. Wonderful shower. JUST LOVELY! The views of the caves from the unit are magical. The apartment is in a perfect location for touring the beautiful town of Matera. The hosts brought in a lovely assortment of breakfast foods- pastries, pie, breads, coffee, milk, juices & fresh fruit. Lovely luncheon sandwiches awaited us upon arrival. The refrigerator was well-stocked with water and soft drinks. The hosts are the nicest people - so kind and helpful. I can't say enough about Lamia Matera 11. It's simply stunning!

The location, view and apartment are all amazing. Would highly recommend for two couples +/- young children. The hosts were so friendly and helpful.

The only thing that was difficult for us, as a group of 4 single friends was access to bathrooms. Both bathrooms are ensuites to bedrooms so two people needed to walk through a bedroom to access. Would highly recommend for two couples +/- young children

Located on the edge of the scenic old area, this 3 bedroom appartment is an easy walk to anything you want to see in Matera. It's located over 3 levels, consistent with its history as an original house, but has been brought up to date just beautifully. We were able to park nearby and for free, both of which are very rare in the old town.

The stairs between levels were "challenging" for the 88 year old member of our group since there was no handrail. But they were no issue for the 50 and 60-somethings among us.

EVERYTHING. This place is a gem and hosts are very helpful. Fresh pastries were there for our arrival and breakfast.

Lamia Matera is a perfectly situated, modern, spotless, perfect place to enjoy all that Matera offers. in addition to the comfort of sleeping quarters on three levels, the bathrooms are beautiful and the view of the gorge is spectacular. Most importantly, the hosts are welcoming, wonderful, helpful and kind, and are really proud of their place and their city. you mist see this place, and experience the city of Matera itself, to believe how wonderful travel can be.

We and our friends had an enjoyable stay at the family 3 room appartement, Lamia , her husband and son Robert were very charming friendly and helpful. the appattement is special , sparkling clean and lovely with modern facilities . good wifi , nice breakfast , free fruits and all kind of beverage, free parking . near and easy walking to the main sites and good restaurants

We were very fortunate to stay at this amazing property for 4 nights. We were welcomed by Eustachio and Antonia who proudly showed us through their magnificent property., House is immaculate, beautifully presented with amazing views. Location, location, location. Property was more beautiful than it appeared in photos. Carpark was available close to property. Pastries, savouries, fruit and drinks left for us were delicious and appreciated. My husband needed to see a doctor and our gracious host Benedetta went out of her way to find suitable specialist and make an appointment. We will be forever grateful. Perfect house, perfect hosts. I wish we could have stayed longer. By far the best property we stayed at on our Italian holiday. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay. I wish I could give it a rating higher than 10, it would be well deserved.

Beautiful location, a little bit off the center, but which makes it a quiet corner. The apartment is a jewel on 3 floors and ideal for a family with children. And the view into the gorge is magnificent.

We had the most perfect stay at Lamia 11, the apartment was even better than the photos and we received such a warm welcome from Eustachio and Antonio & great communications from Benedetta. Her recommendations were spot on as well. Matera itself is a wonderful place to visit and staying here made our visit beyond perfect!

The best Appartment with the kindest hosts I have ever stayed in. This place is awesome!!!! The breakfast spread provided was one of a kind duri g our whole two week trip through Italy.

Benedetta and her husband could not have been more friendly and kind. They assisted us with our luggage, they had fresh pastries, bread, eggs, fruit and snacks for self-service breakfast. They went out of their way to get us some fresh cherries which are local to the area and brought them to us. The house is exceptionally stunning and the finish and cleanliness was second to none. The location was fantastic and the views of the canyon from the bedrooms is breath-taking.

We had an an outstanding stay. the property was well located and spotless. It was an architectural masterpiece and beautifully decorated. Lamia Matera had everything we needed and then some. Benedetta and Eustachio were so warm, friendly and helpful. We would come back in a heartbeat.
