Niché sur une route isolée au cœur de la route des vins du lac Seneca est notre maison du lac que nous appelons Hideaway Herbst. Détendez-vous dans cette maison climatisée de 2300 pieds carrés qui se trouve littéralement à 10 pieds d'un niveau de lac incroyable. La vue panoramique est à couper le souffle. Nous avons également un quai de 100 pieds menant à une grande plate-forme qui vous permettra de profiter du soleil, de nager et de vous détendre au contenu de votre cœur ou d'écouter de la musique du système de divertissement multiroom Russound (Sirius Satellite Radio
et station d'accueil pour iPhone - également dans la maison principale et dans chaque chambre). Utilisez le pédalo ou 2 kayaks tandem pour ramer jusqu'au radeau de baignade. Profitez des quatre chambres king size privées (deux avec salles de bains) et gardez les enfants ensemble sur les 2 ensembles de lits superposés.

This was the perfect place to get away for a long weekend with friends to celebrate 2 birthdays and an anniversary. The house was exactly as advertised and had everything!! From things to cook with to a ton of games, everything was thought out and was truly home away from home. Host was very responsive. Cannot think of 1 thing I would change!!

The property worked really well for our group. Plenty of space to spread out and spend time together. I loved doing yoga on the dock in the mornings. A beautiful place inside and out! Highly recommend.

This house was wonderful. It was quiet with a wonderful view of the lake. It was central to many activities and we had a great time. It rained one day and we stayed in and played games and listen to music. What a great time.

We absolutely love this home, it provides everything you need plus some! The kitchen is a great size and allows us to all gather and cook for each other. Each bedroom is perfect for each couple and plenty of room for heavy packers. Two of the bedrooms have their own en suite. We stay annually and love it more and more. There were tree trimmers blocking the road on a weekday during normal working hours and we needed to wait for them to move (the driveway to the houses is one lane) but the workers were very nice-I told them I rent and they were able to move the tree trimmings and 2 large trucks in 5-10 mins. It wasn’t any trouble! We rent a van to drive us around on the weekends- we’ve never ran into any problems getting a van there. Walking distance (about a mile) to the Climbing Bines brewery. Beautiful view and area to walk around. Neighbors are really nice too!

This was our second time staying at the Herbst’s house. The location and views are priceless. Dealing with the owner Matt was easy. If we had any questions he was a phone call or text away. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks Matt

Another amazing stay at Herbst Hideaway! My family, friends and I enjoyed the beautiful sunrises, hanging out on the dock, kayaking and the close proximity to the wineries and breweries. The house itself was so clean and comfortable. Matt the owner responded so quickly if we had any questions. Overall, we had a super time!!

This was our first vacation out of state with our entire family. Our group included 6 adults and 4 children. The house was perfect for our needs. Our grandchildren swam morning, noon and night and absolutely loved the swim raft. We took full advantage of the paddle boat and kayaks too. One of our favorite activities was hiking to see all the beautiful rock formations, rivers and waterfalls. The Finger Lakes area of New York is absolutely gorgeous. We’re so glad we chose to visit that region and stay at Herbst Hideaway. Matt was very prompt responding to all of our questions and made our check in process super easy. Thanks for opening up your lovely home on beautiful Seneca Lake to our family. We made lots of special memories there.

Upon entering the home I was so impressed as I thought the pictures looked nice, but it was even better in person. So clean, updated and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking gear and the bathroom had a closet full of bath towels. There were kayaks, a paddle boat, rafts and even boat shoes! I have always gone to the Jersey Shore or Disney and this truly beats both! Gwenn & John

House was absolutely beautiful and fit our family perfectly! The house is fully stocked with everything and more! We have rented a lot of houses over the years and this house had more than any other house ever had! Owner was great to work with and extremely helpful! So nice to have someone review everything with us when we arrived! Will rent again!

Very clean and great sunrise over the lake. Adult and kid kayaks and paddle boat were used everyday. We even caught a fish while relaxing in the paddle boat. There were numerous wineries and breweries not far from the house

The house is just as described and more. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The dock is lovely in the morning with coffee. Communication with the owner was fabulous. We also had a great time exploring the area - including the Keuka Outlet Trail, Watkins Glen, the Corning Glass Museum, Skaneateles, even did a day trip to Niagara, and several wineries and breweries. Would definitely recommend!

Each year in May or June ten friends travel to the finger lakes for our ladies wine weekend. Each year we pick a different area to explore, this year Seneca Lake. We had a wonderful stay in Penn Yan. So much to see & do. Spent time in Geneva & Watkins Glen. Not mention all the wineries. Herbst’s Hideway was the perfect setting. Each morning waking up to the beauty of Seneca Lake. Matthew, the owner was very responsive to our questions. The house was perfect. Nice size kitchen with all the necessities. Very clean and comfortable sleeping. Large open kitchen/dining area was stocked with all we needed and had plenty of seating for our group of 12.
Lakefront views and access were perfect. We used the boat lift, dock, kayaks and peddle boat for lots of water fun and fishing. The sound system was excellent including dock and separate room speakers. The fire pit was fun for evening fires, smores and conversation. Plenty of outdoor seating on upper, lower and dock areas.
Matt was very responsive to all questions and needs. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed here with 8 people as part of our Seneca 7 relay team. The location was middle of the lake which made it easy to get places. It is near one of our favorites, Climbing Bines! Matt (the host) was very nice, communicative, and the house was really nice, with beautiful views. The sounds system was amazing too!

Matthew was a pleasure to communicate with. His house is absolutely immaculate. It’s so clean and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked - we were able to cook several meals over the weekend. The outdoor area is so beautiful. We are already planning a trip back to Matthew’s house next year!

Just completed our second annual stay at this awesome home. Eight adults totally enjoyed this fully stocked home, it’s wonderful wine trail location, more than enough room for everyone and many gorgeous views! Already planning our third visit for 2023!

This was our first time staying at the beautiful Lake house. This house has everything you could possibly want or need and was absolutely gorgeous. Can't ask for a better location. The owner met us when we arrived to show us around the house and property. He responded quickly to questions we had prior to our arrival. We will definitely book this house again!!!

We had a wonderful time at this property. We stayed for a week. Neighbors on both sides were very friendly. The drive to get to the property is a bumpy but doable! We were able to kayak, paddle board, swim and go to as many wineries and breweries as we could. This house, being in the middle area of Seneca Lake, is halfway to Watkins Glen or halfway to Geneva. The Lake itself is pretty quiet in this area, not a lot of boats. We lacked for NOTHING at this house. If you needed it, they had it or got it for you. Would def go back with my family again. The more the merrier. Five thumbs up!

Very Nice Property, well appointed in the kitchen with pots and pans, dishes, wine glasses, staples, bath towels, etc. Gorgeous views. Awesome sun rises and sun sets and moon rises. Great star gazing. We brought our boat and with the ramp nearby and the boat lift worked out great, especially since the lake can kick up with a north wind. Great storage area for my boat trailer. Every water toy you can imagine. Can't say enough about how helpful and responsive Matt was.

Overall it was a very nice stay. The house was clean and put together when arriving. Access to the lake was amazing. the dock was so convenient that we could spend all day on it. Close to breweries and vineyards. Would recommend

We have rented many properties the past few years, this one was by far the best. Well stocked in every aspect! Lots of water toys, kayaks, life jackets, dishes, towels, pillows etc., truly just amazing! Highly recommend, we would def go back in a heartbeat.

AMAZING Lakehouse
The pictures do not do this house justice. This house is gorgeous. The property itself is private and quaint with panoramic views of the lake. We had a bachelorette here with 11 girls and we had tons of room. Perfect house for a getaway and since most of us were mom's we noticed it could be kid friendly as well! Book this place, you will not regret it.
