Lovely home! The beds are extremely comfortable and the house has so many thoughtful amenities such as coffee, jam, cooking oil, etc. It was impeccably clean. The location was perfect. We wish we could stay longer!

Volcano vacation rental houses are hit or miss, but this one was super clean, and everything worked. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The house has plenty of room for adults and kids. There were only three of us so we had plenty of beds. Very secluded property in a lovely rainforest environment. We saw native birds and a wild pig.

We stayed one night at this wonderful, peaceful house. It’s the little things that were really appreciated. We arrived later than expected- after dark in the rain and they left the outside light on for us. It is pretty dark in Volcano at night (No street lights, etc) so that was a welcomed relief. There was ample seasonings for cooking and coffee and tea for the morning. The rainforest sounds at night were really fascinating and we absolutely loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking and driving, The morning brought a lot of interesting birds to the yard. Wish we would have stayed an additional night as the house was really cozy and a cool part of our trip. Pretty neat that the home owner designed, built and lived in the house before. Loved all the wood and overall warm vibes. We’d definitely stay here again.

Place was nice and everyone was impressed and happy. Three things though: 1) Door nearest garage would not lock. Tumbler just turned loosely. 2) The 1/2 bath had some 'brown dots' in the toilet. Easy for me to clean. 3) Master bed had a ball of hair when I pulled back the covers. Not a strand or two but a ball like you would find on the floor. Luckily I found (2) and (3) and didn't mention to anyone but it made me wonder what they might not have told me.

Beautiful house, perfectly located to hike on the volcanos. Well furnished, clean. The spa was a great add on as it’s a bit chilly in the evenings. Area is very quiet.

As a family of 5 adults from 21 to 84, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. LOVED the hot tub in the woods!! Our only suggestion would to be to have a sofa bed downstairs. Since all bedrooms are upstairs, my amputee 84 year old husband could not use the bedroom upstairs. He slept on the couch because there was no other choice. Otherwise, we loved this house & location. Definitely would recommend it to anyone.

House was absolutely as advertised and we couldn’t have been happier! Kitchen well equipped, everything worked great, and so close to the park! Would absolutely stay again, and hope to!

A charming, modern home in the middle of the rain forest on the slopes of Mauna Loa, a 5 minute drive from Volcano National Park. We also rented it’s sister property next door for our family of 14. The coquis chirping at night were delightful. Thus place is a winner, and very well maintained.

This was a perfect spot for spending a couple days in Volcano National Park. It is minutes from the park and had plenty of space for 5 people. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner here and had everything we needed. The property manager was great with communication and the listing is extremely helpful and accurate. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the house. The woodwork was beautiful, the fireplace/stove was great in cold mornings and evenings, and it was nice for my two teenagers to have separate sleeping locations. Being so close to Volcano National Park was a plus and I wish we would have had time to explore the hot tub. The amenities were good, but missing just a couple very inexpensive items. If I would have known I would have just brought them and left them for other guests to enjoy. These include a second hand towel in the upstairs bathrooms (especially in the master with two sinks), a washable dish cloth in the kitchen (used wet sponges harbor bacteria), and a box of tissues. Thank you for a great stay!

The tranquility of this place was wonderful. Waking up to the sounds every morning was so peaceful. Great location if you want to be close to Volcano National Park.

A beautiful home with plenty of room and a well stocked kitchen. The birds and frogs will sing you to sleep at night. This place feels very secluded, surrounded by rain forest you can see your neighbors. The hot tub in the forest is awesome and tarp over it to shelter you from Rain was helpful

We used this house as home base as we traveled the entire island. We wanted to be away from all the hotels where it's quieter. Beautiful and well maintained home. The home is perfect if you enjoy your space and feeling like you are part of nature. The only negative is the bedding in the 2 spare rooms were too firm for our taste. But everything else was so perfect I still give it 5 stars.

The house was beautiful! It was well appointed and close to the park. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen had plenty of supplies for our stay. We would definitely rent again! The only suggestion would be to update the guest instructions/listing regarding the fire place. We followed the video and still unable to start. Called the caretaker who advised us that there is now a heater on the wall. We had a good laugh as 3 of us tried.🤭

This was perfect for my daughter's 185th birthday. This was perfect location, right off the road. Beautiful scenery. Easy to talk to the landlord.

The proximity to the National Park is outstanding. The house is large, clean, and well-stocked. The hot tub in the midst of the beautiful plants was a huge bonus. The communication with the owner was very good. We had a tasty dinner at the nearby Ohelo Cafe. I’d definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling to the area.

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in the rainforest. The location is perfect for exploring Volcanoes Nat’l park and I’m so glad we came up from Kona for the night. I just wish we’d had more time. We had a wonderful dinner at the Volcano House and came back for a dip in the hot tub before bed. We loved listening to all the birds - what an incredible property. Hope to be back some day.

The house is great for a very short stay or someone who wants to experience the Volcano.

We only stayed for one night, which was a shame because this is a gorgeous property. The wood floors in this house are stunning, and the house is spacious, spotless, and feels new. You can tell that providing a great experience is top of mind for the host, Adam, who is very responsive and thoughtful. The property has a beautiful yard which you can see from the big windows. The kitchen is expansive and open with plenty of seating at the table. If we come back to volcano, I would definitely stay here again. Mahalo, Adam!

The location is very convenient to the Volcanoes National Park and is a unique property located amongst the surrounding growth that makes it seem like you are all alone but you are only a few blocks off the hi-way.

Property Manager/Owner were very responsive. Great location only 5 minutes to Volcano National Park. House was well presented. Enjoyed our stay very much.
