Secluded and quiet.

Host was great, very accommodating. I didn't catch until after booking that host lived on premises, but wasn't an issue, also probably my mistake but thought there were three beds, not two? We had a great couple of days, and property was easily accessed and clean. Overall value is HIGH for this location.

Was a great visit yet again. 2nd time staying here and was awesome again. Guys trip 3rd Generation.

Couldn't have been happier with our stay. It's such a beautiful place, super convenient to everything we wanted to do. Chuck and Christine are just wonderful. Go stay there if you get a chance.

Everything was wonderful!

The property is just east of Custer where several acres come together. So relaxing on the patio to watch deer and the birds. Beds were very comfortable and so was furniture. Loved the complimentary use of a custer state park pass. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m Custer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. The landscape is breathtaking and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. All amenities one could need or want can be found in this stay. Everything is extremely clean and decorated so adorably. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous home and property. The hosts were very kind and everything in the house was great. Highly recommend if you have a dog, the property and neighborhood road have very nice places to walk.

I’m so glad my mom and I chose this listing for our stay. It’s in such a beautiful setting that feels remote but is just a couple of miles outside downtown Custer. It’s location made it easy to get to Hill City, Custer State Park, Lead and Deadwood, Crazy Hour and Mt. Rushmore plus so much more. Christine was a wonderful host. The house was comfortable and had everything one might need. Thank you, Christine.

This was a perfect place to stay for our family vacation and the list of activities we had to complete. Not only that, after a long day of hiking, we were able to enjoy a home away from home! Highly recommend this location!

Christine’s property was the perfect stay for my husband, dog, and me. It’s a quiet and peaceful setting but really close and convenient to Custer, the state park, Sylvan Lake, and all the attractions of the Black Hills. We enjoyed the balance of being close enough to Custer to take in some of the restaurants and shops and also to cook at the property. The kitchen and grill were well equipped for our needs.

I can’t think of a single negative thing to say . They even arranged awesome weather for our stay .

Very convenient location, just outside city of Custer and very close to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and other attractions. Lots of space both inside and outside of the home was great for our dog. We really enjoyed eating dinners outside on the patio as the sun was setting. Highly recommended.

Would stay again

Our stay here was amazing. The house was super cozy and clean. It was close to everything but still in a beautiful spot. We loved our very thoughtful welcome package, especially the Burt’s Bee’s since we aren’t used to the dry climate! We literally didn’t want to leave this place and we will be back.

This is a perfect place to stay on your trip to the SD. It was a great central location to come back after your day of site seeing. The host were friendly and place was well stocked and clean. Had beautiful patio area with fire place to sit and enjoy wildlife. Would stay here again.

The place was even better than the pictures portrayed. Location was as good as it gets for exploring the whole Black Hills area. And the host put the place over the top; she was super friendly and accommodating!!!

Lovely setting! Close to Custer but quiet and spacious. We enjoyed the outside table fire pit on a cool night. The apartment was very clean and the welcome gifts were thoughtful. Great spot!

Our entire family—plus our dog—loved this vacation property. The location was a few minutes outside the town of Custer in a really quiet area. The kids and dog loved playing in the huge open space—and the adults enjoyed napping in the hammocks. We all loved the huge kitchen area and dinners outside on the patio. The two bedrooms were perfect for our family. The property provides easy access to sights around the Black Hills like Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park and more. The amount of space—both inside and outside—was perfect for our family. Our two-year-old daughter isn't the greatest sleeper, but the property owners (who live above the rental) never complained about her waking up during the night. Communicating with Christine was super easy throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this rental if available!

Great experience

We loved staying here! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated, and the house had everything we could have needed. We really enjoyed the lovely welcome package and wine, and loved watching the deer out in the yard. The kids had a great time in the hammocks and it was a overall just a wonderful, peaceful place to relax.
