The home met all our needs and expectations! Very comfortable and the artwork was a plus. Recommend snow tires/chains if it is snowing, the road to the house is steep and curvy.

We rented for the long weekend and brought my parents up. The house is older and a bit dated, but there are upgrades, including the two bathrooms on the main level. The layout was great - two king beds with ensuite baths, plus a queen in the basement with another bath. The home feels a bit remote, but in reality is a short drive up from 105, with lovely long range views. Previous comments about the sunrises are not exaggerated; they are stunning, especially from the semi-attached sunroom. Unfortunately, our stay was not without some hiccups. On arrival things seemed perfect, but we quickly found that the trash had not been taken out, the bathtub combo on the main level and the shower in the basement had not been cleaned (hair). My wife and I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen, including a very dirty coffee maker we finally found in the basement. We also noted several items that were missing - an outlet cover in one bathroom, an open hole in the drywall in another, and a towel hook with and screws laying on the counter in the basement bathroom. The basement shower drained so slowly I had to turn off the water to prevent overflow and one toilet on the main level did not flush properly and could not be used. Overall, this property needs some maintenance and a better cleaning between guests, but it has enormous potential. On a positive note, the management company was very responsive to our issues. We will rent with them again.

Not enough cooking utensils.Also pots & pans' non stick coatings are worn out & peeled off. Need to be replaced . Deck & deck furnitue not cleaned . Our stay however was very pleasant,serene & peaceful . Excellent montain views & comfortable stay in well furnished unit .

Beautiful home, and as advertised. The sunrise we caught on the first morning was truly breathtaking. I think the most disappointing part of our stay was the early morning cloud cover the next 2 morning, though it was still well worth it to get up and see what we could of the sunrise those days. Clean, spacious, the birds feeding all day, the pool table and hot tub were all great features. But the view from the top deck at all hours of the day is something that is hard to top. You won't regret a trip to this property.

Perfect 3 bedroom, 3 bath vacation home. 2 kings and a queen. Nice to have the hot tub and pool table. Well apportioned kitchen. Could use basic cleaning supplies. We will book here again.

We enjoyed the home as it was cozy and located right smack in the middle of Boone & banner elk. House itself was comfortable and roomy. It’s an older home that gives a it a vintage charm. We loved the bonus den as it was a magnificent spot to have some quiet time. A entities were on point and didn’t disappoint. The beds and linen we’re comfortable, couches were cozy and the kitchen roomy with sufficient cookware to prepare meals for family. We enjoyed hearing the laughs from hawks nest which is located right out your backyard. Makes for a joyful experience while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Property can probably use a deep clean as it seems like there was a ton of dust, hopefully they can get it cleaned in time for next guests.

We had a great time at the rental with great views over the mountains in the morning. It was sized perfectly for the two couples we had. We did have some problems with the dish washer not working and several lights / switches not working. The main living area does get a bit warm in the mornings / early afternoon with the sun beating down on the windows.

The house was fine with all we needed to enjoy our time away! Kitchen is well stocked and rooms are all a good size. The entire home could use to be updated. Most of the lights switches don’t work and only a couple jets in the jacuzzi worked. Decently clean although a few dirty pillow cases, dead bugs and crumbs found.

The views are incredible! I woke up early each morning to enjoy coffee on the deck and watch the sunrise. Worth it completely! The beds were comfy. The home was so inviting. It was the perfect temperature up there. This house delivered every bit of what I was looking for and then some. I only wished I could have stayed longer.

We had a great time. The home is spacious and the view is amazing. It's not fa from Boone and shopping. Plenty of places to have fun. Lots of hiking and trail at nearby areas. The home had all the kitchen essentials we wanted and then some. The home is a little dated but we knew this just by looking at the pictures but it does not take away from anything. The neighborhood is lovely for morning or afternoon walks. It's a small neighborhood so we heard dogs that were barking at times and someone working on their home with a table saw. It didn't last long. All in all we had a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious home. The house had incredible views and was very well stocked with kitchen items. The fire place was very nice and we loved spending the evenings unwinding in the hot tub.

Property was clean. Super annoying that you need to pick up and drop off keys at separate location. Road to property was blocked due to snow for 90 mins. When we arrived, driveway was full of 3 cars. None of which were mine. I barely had room for my car. Emailed property owner about the issue. No response. View was outstanding. Property clean. Kitchen well equipped. Property was very clean. Annoying that dishes all need to be put away. Rule should be that renter run dishwasher when you leave. Overall average

House was clean and just the right size for our group. Views were amazing. A few of the towels in the bathroom had an aroma, we didn’t use those just put them in the pile to get washed. The trash bin outside was full (not from our group) so we couldn’t put our trash bags in the bin as requested. Kitchen had everything we needed. Close to grocery store. Overall a great place to stay.

Cannot describe how beautiful the view was. House was high up a slightly windy road, but therefore had the best overlook in the area. Hot tub on the lower deck would allow the same views. The house was immaculate and had a well stocked kitchen. Two master suites and a lower bedroom. The lack of AC was not a problem and the baseboard heat worked great. It was just my wife, myself and our 5 year olds daughter, so we only used one bedroom mostly. It was a great location between Grandfather Mountain and Blowing rock (about 15 min away). Go check out the Otter Falls trail literally right down the road. Easy hike about 1 mile to a nice small waterfalls area that kids can wade and play in. Plenty of activities close by, but you are far way enough from the busy areas to relax.

We rented the home for two weeks and very much enjoyed our stay! The house was a little outdated and could use a little bit of TLC but the view on the back deck is incredible!! The view from the back deck can be seen from the living room, kitchen, sunroom, and dining room and is pretty amazing at sunrise. Great view from the hot tub as well! If you’re looking for a rental close to a bunch of attractions while also having a great view to come back to, this is your spot!!

My sister and I took my mum to the mountains as it had been on her wish list for ever. It was the first vacation we took with just us and no other family. It was incredible and the place was even more spectacular than the website showed. From the incredible breathtaking views to the close proximity to nearby attractions. We hiked and enjoyed the immense beauty of the NC mountains!

It was in a great location directly above the snow tubing lanes and zip lines. Also close to Grandfather mountain. A sweet quite neighbor hood. The house had all the items needed to get a great weekend break from all the hustle of work.

We came with our 3 small children and this home was perfect for us. The view was just incredible! Like others mentioned, the house is older and some minor things could stand to be updated, but it felt very clean and well maintained. We liked the cozy feel and older character of the decor. The giant windows were magnificent! We loved how big the kitchen and dining area were - we easily could have shared the space with another small family. It was also in a good location - close to many hikes, Grandfather Mountain, Blue ridge parkway, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. Overall we were very happy with the house, and we’d definitely stay there again!
