Jeri & Frank were absolutely the best. The breakfast oh my word .... Delicious!
The character and atmosphere of a place is historical and comforting.
Some noise, yes as to be expected; Birds, train in the distance, rain on a tin roof all of which I enjoy and can sleep soundly through however, for those light sleepers they do provide earplugs.
The bed in room 1 was so very comfortable the perfect firmness yet felt like a cloud.
I look forward to returning!
Thank you for having us, Lisa Mason

Beautiful, restored building, full of charm.
Nothing!

The building is a remodeled school house built in 1912. Very quaint if you enjoy that sort of thing. History surrounds you. The owners are delightful people and had many conversations with them.
Since the building is so old, it has the old style metal radiators for heating and they make noise. Also the blowing of train horns in the distance was aggravating

This place is wonderful. It was an old school house and they made it into a B&B. The pictures and furnishing are so neat to see. The people that own it are so friendly and make you feel right at home. The pool and hot tub are so relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic. I would go to Bonners Ferry again just to stay!!
I loved everything!

Location is very accessible and convenient, and the Viking is so impressive.. The owner Gerry gave such a wonderful overview of the history of the schoolhouse. She seems to take great pride and joy in preserving this historical landmark. She made it very interesting on check-in and throughout our stay. She also told us so many interesting sights to see in the area. The breakfast was outstanding. It was not a buffet, but a sumptuous, fully plated meal served to us on fine china. The rooms are all unique and very comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time here and we will definitely be back.
Everything was excellent, but if I were going to say one thing, I would have liked to have been able to access the coffee or tea in the afternoon /evening.

Wonderful, helpful hosts who provided a sheet of information about outdoor activities (hikes to waterfalls, etc.) that we found very helpful. Comfortable and clean room; quiet B&B; considerate guests. I used the pool and hot tub twice and had them both to myself. Homemade cookies at check-in.
The breakfasts could have been a little more robust, as far as the options available. But the fresh, seasonal fruit and egg strata were very good.

The old building, antiques and collectable made for a homey and educational environment. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower was a walk in and easy to navigate and get to a perfect temperature and pressure. Breakfast was colorful and delicious. The family who owns and operates the B & B are open, friendly and hospitable. If you have trouble climbing stairs make sure to ask for a main floor room. I had lots of help carrying my luggage up the stairs which I really appreciated after a long drive. I wish I had time to spend more than one night!

Love this historic little gem that sits in our town. The Duarte family has done a fantastic job with the location and are wonderful hosts. Thanks for a memorable bday and stay. We'll be back 😊

We drove to Bonner's Ferry for a family celebration and Northside School was in a perfect location to come and go to the various events. Jerri & Frank and their family made us very welcome right from check-in.
The amazing part was how very gracious they were when my husband and I both came down with the flu on Saturday, we were suppose to check out on Sunday!! Someone in our family/friends had caught it and shared it with 9 of the 20 of us before the weekend was over )~;
The Duartes made it very simple for us to stay another night so we could just rest all day Sunday! They offered to make us some special super simple snacks, soup, tea or even go to the store for us, if necessary!
Thankfully, we didn't require that much attention, but it was wonderfully reassuring that they were there to help us through the day!
We were able to get up and drive home to Portland on Monday morning, but just can't imagine how awful it would have been were it not for these folks kindness and attention! Thank you Thank you Thank you
Can't think of a thing!

The family that runs this B&B is friendly and somewhat knowledgeable about the property. I enjoyed the old school house look and feel, and we heard they will be fixing the rooms up in a more "School house" style. I would like to see that when it's done.
The breakfast was, let's say, a good try. They served, what can best be described as a variation of eggs Benedict but it's not close. The eggs were HARD boiled, topped with Guacamole, under that, a single piece of store bought Canadian Bacon, on top of English Muffin. No Hollandaise sauce and And 1 singular Strawberry.
A total swing and miss!!!
To their credit when we complained about the hard boiled egg, they remade the egg correctly, but the rest was the same.

The property is conveniently located a short distance from downtown with a spectacular view!

Excellent breakfast. Just wish it could have been offered earlier. The location was great except for trains through the night.
Just earlier breakfast if possible. On surveys I very, very rarely will give a top grade, so don't be alarmed!

The location was an easy drive to my meeting and the staff was wonderful. When I needed to leave before breakfast they made a sack lunch-breakfast for me, I did not ask for it, they just offered it. The next day I was able to have the breakfast in the dining room and it was very good.
The elevator (lift) did not go to the top floor.

Everything about this place was first rate, including the squeaky original floors. Super breakfast, spacious rooms, large bathroom. Deck to sit on overlooking the pool.easy parking. Interesting brick arches over the ground floor windows. Good restaurant recommendations. Lovely people. Would certainly stay again.
Principal’s room is most popular but ours, at the front of the house, had just as good a view.

Breakfast was very nice, and it’s a beautiful location.
The A/C was a little loud at night which was a startle, but but not a problem once we got used to it.
