Staying at this place is like being cast in a movie about how wonderful Montana living can be

The booking.com listing does not do this property justice. The place's own website fails to do it justice. The Rocky Point Ranch is a true gem of a BNB. Part of it is the spacious, well-appointed ranch house right on the river but mostly it is the atmosphere provided by the proprietors, who are the most genuine and hospitable people I have ever rented accommodations from.

If you are an experienced traveler and know what that region of Montana is like, you will have no problems. If you aren't well it's 70mph 2-lane roads and no advanced signage for any street. Newbies and first timers should make every effort to get there during daylight hours for their first approach.

The perfect place to stay if you are going to be in the Thompson Falls area.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the ranch. The setting is breathtaking and we didn’t have enough time to take it all in. The ranch is very close to great hiking and the beautiful town of Thompson Falls. The breakfast was always delicious and the host were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you so much for the hospitality. I hope we can visit again in the future.

The place was immaculate. Saw wild deer grazing and ground squirrels walking along the river bank. Had a fabulous Breakfast before we left. The room was clean. Each room has a personal shower. No sharing bathrooms . Had plenty of water pressure . Would definitely stay again. The hosts were very hospitable.

Best kept secret in Montana

Best Resort B&B. Sam and Patti are the perfect hosts and their Ranch home is charming, comfortable and beautiful. Yhey both go out of their way to ensue their guests have a wonderful stay. The breakfast was great too. Everything about this place is well worth the trip. We will definitely be returning.

The best B & B we have ever stayed in...anywhere!

The location was remote but beautiful, peaceful and Quiet! The rooms were each unique. The hosts were very personable. We enjoyed talking with them. The breakfast was great. We would definitely return.

The beds were comfortable. The pillows could have been softer.

A dream place to spend a few days

We liked the location as it is situated in a beautiful valley. We also liked being able to see and feed the farm animals. The guest house is also clean, comfortable and has centralized air conditioning. The entire guest house and space around it are set up as a museum. So there is a lot to see and explore.

I would have liked to have an option for continental breakfast, such as granola and more toasted bread. However, the huckleberry jam is awesome! Inner tubing in the river is great, but be aware that the current could in principle change suddenly as there is a dam downstream, although this did not happen while we were there.
