The house was everything that was described and more. It was the best equipped house we’ve ever rented. We were not wanting for anything. It was comfortable and inviting.The view was beautiful. It was quiet and relaxing. The location is ideal. I really can’t think of anything negative to say. We had to check out a day early due to family obligations but before leaving the Ludington area, my husband was hospitalized. The owners went out of their way to help out. A lovely, comfortable relaxing week

This place is AMAZING! If you think the photos look good, then wait till you see it for real. Tasteful decor, everything from the beds, kitchen, bathrooms were perfect. This really gave us the “at home” feel, with the beauty of Hamlin lake. You can tell A LOT of thought goes into this rental. Can’t wait to stay again!

Was a perfect get away such a beautiful and peaceful place house was so nice

The house is set up well - with everything you need for your stay. Even the little things you don't think about: hooks in all the right places, laundry baskets, well-stocked kitchen with great silverware and plenty of dishes, a lightweight vacuum to clean up sand. There was thought in the details. The north side of the lake can be windy, which was a bit of a challenge for us with our boat. Having the boat bay was great! Note that there is no garage. We brought a canopy to keep our things from getting wet. Turns out the owners had one of those too LOL ! Also no gas grill (only charcoal) - so we brought our own. There is plenty of space in the backyard - we played cornhole and threw the football around. The kids were able to jump off the dock and swim - not too deep (about 4') and a nice sandy bottom. We had a great week and would return to this property again!

This property was private, just as shown in photos, close proximity to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Owners are great to communicate and assist.

Wonderful lakehouse to vacation. Our group of 10 had ample room & we loved the layout. The deck was large and seating was plentiful. Would highly recommend it.

Flawless experience! Very comfortable we had 8 in our group and had plenty of room. Loved the privacy of the grounds . We were able to dock our boat on the property which is a plus. The only downside is no pets. We had to board our dog which is a worry and extra expense . This place is fantastic and we highly recommend it !! Lew and Rose are great hosts and respond to all questions quickly

We visited this amazing cottage for 4 days with family. The communication with the owners throughout was fab and the cottage had everything we needed . In fact I’d say the kitchen is stocked better than my own at home!! We loved watching the sunset whilst enjoying a beer & warming up by the fire pit in the garden. Did some amazing walks in the nearby ludingnton state park & a day trip over to holland. We were all super sad to leave at the end of our trip & would highly recommend visiting here for a relaxing lakeside break ! Thanks rose & lew

The home is a real beauty, very comfortable and clean. We especially like the privacy of the property because it is set back from other homes. The house is very well equipped with all the essentials inside and out as well as a lot of art pieces. The master bed was very comfortable. Close to downtown Ludington, state park, and boat rentals. Owners did a great job providing information on the area attractions, restaurants, and stores, what they provided and what we needed to bring. They really made everything very easy from check in to check out. Damage deposit was returned very timely. Would definitely rent this again. My one suggestion is to provide bathroom towels for guests.

Our family has connections to this town for many years, and a cousin actually stills owns the house on Hamlin Lake that my husband has been visiting every summer since he was a toddler! Our past rental home was sold, so we have been on a search for a new rental to call our own for summers to come! This home more than fits our needs! Everything described about this home was very accurate. Actually, this home was much nicer than we even expected and very clean. The home is just minutes from town as well, which made running errands so convenient. Central air was a nice added feature— It was so nice having a cool home to retreat back to after a long day in the hot sun! Most homes on the lake do not offer a/c- trust me! We cooked several meals at the house and the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could possibly need and the outdoor grill is great too! We rented a boat for a day and was able to dock right at the house to have lunch. If you don’t want to rent a boat, our best times, we’re just floating in tubes, swimming, talking & laughing, watching the sunsets etc. A suggestion to future renters, pack light when it comes to clothing- they have a great washer & dryer! Lew & Rose were very accommodating and gracious through the process. They answered questions quickly and were very attentive. We will be returning for years to come—already booked for next year! :)

Everything was exactly as discribed. The privacy was exactly what he were looking for. We have stayed at a number of other rentals in the past and none can compare with this one. The Grandchildren never left the Beach Area outside the house and kept them entertained the whole week. We will be back next year.

Very nice home on Hamlin Lake. Very peaceful sitting in the deck overlooking the lake. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

Lew and Rose were great to deal with, very responsive. The house is better than the pictures. Very comfortable for 6 adults, beds and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful, even an electric griddle for our pancake breakfast. Ludington area is beautiful, managed to get a hike in at the State Park and a bonfire, before a rainy Saturday. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great time at Lew & Rose's Hamlin Lake house. The house was clean and very comfortable with plenty of space to relax. Especially enjoyed the sunsets over the lake with the large porch and lake front yard. We loved it so much we plan to return in warmer weather!

It's a perfect gem of a hide away vacation spot. We had read other reviews that they've thought of everything and it's true. We were out at the fire pit the first night getting ready to have Somemores. The kids went in to find something to toast the marshmallows and came out with skewers for shish-ka-bob. My husband went back into the house to look because the reviews say 'they thought of everything' and came out with proper marshmallow/hotdog forked, long handled skewers! We had a wonderful week together. Having two living areas and three dining areas was a bonus with three generations. And the Master bedroom soaker tub was a welcome addition for those of us whose muscles weren't used to all the activity! It's just the kind of place you want for a vacation!

The rental property was extremely well equipped. It was very clean, well kept, pleasingly decorated. We wanted for absolutely nothing the entire week. This allowed us to really sit back, relax, and enjoy our time together. We loved sitting on the deck every night watching the fantastic sunsets over the water. We will, and already have recommended this property to our friends and family.
