My family and I were there for leaf peeping and to celebrate a birthday. The beds were comfortable and the home was lovely.

We spent the weekend here with our friends and it was the perfect getaway! The house was clean and well stocked. Alex was great at providing us with all the information we needed to enjoy the house. Can’t wait to go back!

The house was awesome. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and serve. The view was wonderful and the location was perfect.

This property definitely is the ideal lakeside cabin. It is perfectly rustic and beautiful. It was a great way for our whole family to stay together for a family wedding weekend. Our only wish was that we could have spent more time at the house during our stay. Highly recommend this VRBO

Good for family of 9 - ages 4 to 78

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, every single bed was super comfortable, the lake is peaceful, we enjoyed fishing. It was nice to have extra bonus room in the walkout basement for remote work. Nice strong internet was key for us. The house is beautiful and well furnished for comfort. Central air was so nice as we had some humid weather. Great stay, we hope to get back.

House was great for the multiple families that we were traveling with....close to lots of hiking and fishing and the good fishing/swimming in the clean lake kept the kids busy all week.

Had a great time in a beautiful setting. Ladeside cabin had plenty of room for 4 couples. Large kitchen completely stocked with everything you would need for cooking and grilling(minus food). Wondering doock area to swim or fish. Public pool and sandy beach just down the road. Very quiet and serene for the most relaxing time....

My friends and I absolutely loved staying here for the weekend. Absolutely beautiful property with all the amenities we could want (I was expecting to pick up some disposable cookware to make food one of the nights but the kitchen was really stocked). The lake was a beautiful sight even though it was frozen. Ten minutes from Wal-Mart, Shaw’s etc but it still felt nice and secluded. Alex made the whole thing super easy as well. Book this place! You won’t regret it.

Pros....Clean nicely appointed lodging, convenient and beautiful location, quiet and spacious. Cons....A few little bugs and little ants around the sinks.

Relaxing Getaway

House is beautiful and very clean and has everything you need to cook I found the kitchen very well stocked! Plenty of room for 7 adults to spread out. We were there during extreme cold and the house was warm and cozy and the fireplace was great for added warmth. All the beds were comfortable and we did not have any issues during our stay. Has a beautiful deck with lake views and a grill (too cold for us to use when there but would be fantastic in summer) Spoke with Alex before arrival and he did a great job explaining how everything worked and answered all my questions. He checked in also when we arrived and made sure we were all set and the house was how we expected it. Area is beautiful Would highly recommend this home !

This cabin has amazing views! It’s a 10 minute drive to the nearest amenities (gas station, Walmart, McDonald’s) which was nice. If you want to unwind and just enjoy quality time with family or friends or hike local trails it’s the perfect place to do so. The central heating/air works great and the fireplace was lovely! Would definitely recommend.

Clean and comfortable, right when we stepped in the door. Perfect amount of space - there was actually a small bonus room downstairs we didn't plan on. The furniture was comfortable, and we didn't need a degree to figure out the TV. Appliances all worked great - and the heat/AC came up quick (cold mornings, warm afternoons). The area was beautiful - so quiet and peaceful, yet 12min from a Walmart and grocery store. The foliage was amazing!

We found the cabin to be perfect for our visit to the area for leaf peeping. The cabin was well equipped, super clean and cozy. Owner very responsive and helpful. Totally recommend this lovely cabin!

From the first moment we walked in everyone loved the house. A beatiful open area with floor to ceiling windows that looked out to the lake. Everything was clean, comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The host is friendly and answered any question we had. We had a wonderful weekend and highly recommend staying here.

Quiet, peaceful, lots of room and good location to use for our base while traveling around to see all the sights.

We rented the house for a bunch of us to get together. They property was a great size and very accommodating. I would recommend this property. This location would be great for leaf peeping as well.

This property was perfect for us. We recently sold our family log home of 25 yrs in southern VT and were thrilled to be back in a similiar setting. We were all attending my nephews wedding in nearby Wells River. My son and my daughter, along with their families thoroughly enjoyed the property, the lake and the area. Lots of room and amenities! A great North Country Getaway!

It was great chatting with Alex prior to our trip. He answered all of my questions honestly. It is a wonderful location with a lot of privacy. The beach is very close and a great place for our grandchildren ages 1 & 3. If you like to cook, the kitchen is well set up with everything you need and includes high-end kitchen goods, as well as, a very nice gas grill which worked perfectly. We spent a lot of time just hanging on the deck enjoying the view and loved our nighttime fire pit experience. Will we come back again?? Absolutely! Thanks Alex! Lori & family

We used the lake for kayaking, fishing and swimming . Location is lovely. Woodsy but within a few minutes of wallyworld. Plenty of space for group or singular activity. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was comfortable and location was great. The lake access was perfect for all family members.

Overall our two families consisting of seven people had a pleasant visit to this lakefront home. It is quiet and beautiful and only 20 or 30 minutes from many big attractions in the White Mountains area. A couple of comments to make, however, it should probably be communicated in the listing that the master bedroom is an open loft to the main living area, which makes it a little bit challenging for folks sleeping and using the bathroom upstairs and not having much privacy or quiet early in the morning or late at night. This was a challenging sleeping arrangement. I would also like to mention that the basement level which can sleep up to six or seven people has no dressers, furniture or storage closets, forcing everyone on that level to live out of a suitcase for an entire week. We also found certain common items surprisingly missing from the kitchen including a regular size pot to boil water or pasta in, and other basic items such as salt.

An absolutely beautiful location for family of all ages. Rest & relax looking at the lake & nearby mountains, or sit by the beach and take in some waterside fun. You don't even have to drive, just hop in the canoe provided & paddle the short distance, enjoying more of the lake views and maybe drop a fishing line in along the way. Lake's End is the perfect spot to enjoy it all. Everything you need for a great vacation is available. Well appointed kitchen and gas grill allows for easy meal prep. Spacious, fabulous views and direct access to the lake. We have been visiting Mt. Lakes for over 45 years and it is such a special place. We will be back!

Nice lake front house, with great view. We really enjoyed the swimming, fishing and boating. The host is super responsive. The house is equipped with canoe which is a great addition. At the end of lake, a well maintained beach provides bbq, beach volleyball and diving boards.

The house was just perfect for our family vacation. Private and quiet. We were a group of 7 adults and there was plenty of room for privacy as well as room for relaxing in the great room and cooking together in a well stocked kitchen. The house was off the beaten path but close enough to anything you need. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

Things never go as planned and the personal circumstances surrounding our stay demonstrated that - I had originally rented this home for my siblings, their spouses and their young children so we could stay together while in the area for our grandfather’s funeral. With a lakefront location and plenty of room indoors and out, it was an ideal place for several generations to rest and reflect in the month of May. But then my nieces and sister-in-law got the flu and my other sister-in-law had to work so it ended up being me and my two brothers with a related couple and their dog. The owner was great at communicating with me beforehand (we actually had a phone call which is a rarity but a lovely personal touch) and remained accommodating as almost my entire guest group changed. His flexibility really helped reduce my stress. And, as it turns out, this was also the PERFECT place for an all adult group (and a pup!). The home is close enough to “town” with stores and restaurants but far enough to feel like you’re in your own world. It’s position at the end of the lake creates a very private atmosphere for peace and reflection. We spent many early mornings fishing on the dock and/or walking the neighborhood roads and many evenings out on the deck or gathered around the TV in the grand living area (the couch is the softest leather I’ve encountered - sounds strange but, if you stay here, you’ll know exactly what I mean). The house itself facilitated SO many family moments for us and I am truly thankful for that. As if this wasn’t already enough, on the day of my grandfather’s funeral, the storm clouds parted above the mountains and a double rainbow appeared over the lake seemingly directly across from the home. It was a glorious finishing touch on a weekend that, while a sad occasion, turned out to be a family bonding experience. And I can honestly say that none of the above would be true if I had stayed elsewhere. This home is simply spectacular, incredibly unique and I am grateful to have stayed there.
