We were in love with everything about the cabin and property. We enjoyed fishing and sitting by the pond, soaking in the views from the patio and the comfortable and clean accommodations inside. This was our first time visiting the area and we will be back!! We have no desire to stay anywhere else

The cabin and property was excellent. Secluded enough without being too far away from civilization. The Poarch family had everything we needed. We will definitely book with them again.

We stayed here while visiting our daughter that attends Appalachian State. We were not certain how long the drive would be to Boone but were pleasantly surprised. The house was perfect for our needs and was well equipped and clean. It is not a big home but was exactly as described and was pet friendly. We brought our lab along and she loved the sprawling yard and pond. There were fishing rods for us to use but I did not have any luck but wasn't sure what bait would be best. The check-in process was seamless and directions were great. Overall, the house had a lot of character and the beds were great and there were plenty of linens and the owner even left some home made soaps as a gift. The bathroom was nicely updated and the heating and air worked great. We have stayed at several VRBOs in the past that were far more "upscale" but this place was a definite favorite and we had zero issues or complaints. We are looking forward to more stays in the future. If you are looking for a small mountain home with total privacy and beautiful grounds, give it a try!

Cozy and remarkably remote. Stocked pond was a plus. Near to all the local action, too.

This place was great!! Everything was just as described. Cottage was clean and everything you need is there. Cottage is back off the road and the neighborhood is quiet. The pond was great and my girls enjoyed walking around it looking at the lilly pads and wildlife. The cottage is close to pretty much everything with 221 heading to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mnt the opposite direction. The Parkway is close to use to get to Moses Cone and other venues on the Parkway. Great time and we plan to go back again!!!

Awesome times we only left to go to the grocery store very relaxing! This cottage was anove and beyond our expectations! We were soooo amazed! By far one of the best relaxing weekends we've had in a long time! We lived it so much we are renting it for my mother and father n law for her birthday as a surprise b-day get away!

My wife, myself, and dogs LOVED this cabin. Perfect location to everything and amazing property. So much fun fishing and relaxing. This was the best stocked rental house we have ever been in. Will definitely be back.

Just what we needed

This cabin was the perfect place for us and our toddler. The house was clean and comfortable, the location is so great (secluded yet close to town), and the hosts are so accommodating. Would return again!

This property is the best VRBO we have had the pleasure of staying at. It was very private for our dogs to play with plenty of room to run, the cabin itself had so many thoughtful touches such as the homemade soaps, fishing gear, fire pit, etc, and the location was fabulous- minutes from Blowing Rock and about 20 minutes to Boone! We are so excited to stay here again and will definitely share with family and friends. Thank you for hosting us!

It was a pleasure spending a few days at this serene cabin by a pond filled with Lilly pads and blooms, and surrounded by lush greenery. There were thoughtful touches such as hand crafted bars of soap, a fire pit readied with kindling and logs, and fishing poles. The dish towel was sweetly bound on twine. A fresh sponge was provided. The cabin was cozy. There is a horseshoe pit and a barbecue. Stroll around the pond for a meditative walk. Close to town. Definitely would return. Very quiet.

Could not have had asked for a more amazing weekend! The place was perfect for 2 people and the property was secluded yet close to everything. The property was very cozy and the pond was wonderful. So many little details provided, like homemade soap and fresh firewood. The fishing gear was so nice to have also. My kids really enjoyed fishing and making s’mores! It was nice to be able to bring our dog and felt like a home away from home!

This cabin is perfect! The property is beautiful, private and very peaceful. The cabin is extremely clean and close to many activities. Our 2 young kids had a blast at nearby Blowing Rock, Tweetsie, gem mining and more! Will be back next year! Thank you for the great vacation

What everyone wants to know: Clean, clean, clean. King size bed was very comfortable. Small, but had everything we could ask for. Great location! The pond was beautiful and great to walk around, or just sit and enjoy. You felt like you were in your own oasis, yet only roughly 10 mins. drive to Blowing Rock. Wonderful hosts, very pleasant answered any and all questions. Just the best, period!! We will be back!

The cabin was cute and clean! We didn’t catch any fish in the pond, but my daughter learned how to cast her pole! The owners are very responsive to questions.

This property is beautiful, the cabin is perfect and very well stocked. We had everything we needed for our getaway weekend to play in the snow. We are definitely looking forward to staying there again in the spring/summer so we can enjoy the pond, property and hiking.

Great location and it's always good to mention the beds were comfortable. The location is beautiful and quiet but a little hard to find at night (try and get there before the sun goes down).

This was a wonderful place for a real mountain experience and vacation. The owners provided us with everything we needed..and more. It was on a beautiful piece of land, very private and just a pleasure to stay there. Even our old dog was more peppy than usual as he enjoyed walking around the pond and sniffing out all the new smells! We would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone who wants a pleasant, private mountain place to stay that is still only a few miles to downtown Blowing Rock. And the view of Grandfather mountains can't be beat!

Excellent location. Cozy, clean, cabin on beautiful property with mountain views. Thoughtful owners supplied everything you could possibly need as well as homemade goats milk soap that now has us hooked!

We came with our two dogs for a bit of a baby moon before our first child arrives in December. The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. A lovely quiet property in a beautiful setting. The pond is so peaceful and our dog loved swimming in it. All kinds of great hiking are easily accessed close to the property as well. We will definitely be back!
