The cabin was beautiful. Everything worked like expected and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some. The microwave is top of the line as is the toaster oven. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was spacious enough for everyone. We will be back.

Despite some unfortunate, unpreventable experiences we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this house to others!
We had 8 adults and 8 children staying with us, so we had a challenging time finding a space large enough. We're thankful we found this Sandy River house. It was exactly what we wanted - enough space and bathrooms for all 16 of us, amazing view, close to the mountain for sledding and large common areas. We could fit 8-10 at the table easily and the living room has two large couches. Three of the four bedroom are large and while one is smaller, it was not too small. There were 7 twin size beds available in the bunk room. That bunk room also had a tv and vcr with vintage kids movies.
While we were there the ice storm hit (on our first day) so we had a treacherous drive. Chris kindly allowed us an earlier check-in so we didn't have to drive in the dark during the storm. Unfortunately, the next morning the power went out and stayed off the entirety of our stay so we had no electricity, no hot water, no WIFI, etc. We used the wood stove to heat the house and it worked beautifully! The wood stove gets hot. Caution to all - don't touch! We made due with all the flashlights they had at the house and got creative with heating food on the wood stove. A few notes: there is sufficient parking for 4 cars, the trail from the house leads down to the river where there is a "beach" which during the snow, was a great place to have a snowball fight.

Stayed a weekend with friends and spouse and a great time. The view of the river is breathtaking and I love listening to the water. The cabin was just like the pictures and had plenty of room for 6 people. It was the perfect place to have a quiet getaway and still super close by local shops and restaurants. Would definitely come back again!

Amazing property with an incredible view. Highly memorable

We definitely hope to come back here. This home was spectacular. The home was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed for Thanksgiving. The location on the river was literally breath taking. I want to go back in the summer time when we can be outside more. Love this place!

This was the perfect location for our tiny wedding reception. The deck alone is reason enough, lots of seating and space with an unbeatable view of the river. Guests kept commenting on what a great find the place was, and making comments on how we’d have to have a friends weekend and rent it again. The owner, Chris, was very quick to respond and helpful. We absolutely would recommend the location.

Very well furnished with everything we needed. Very clean. The hot tub on the deck was so relaxing! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy being together with friends.

The location was excellent!! Close to hiking, shopping, & right on the river. The hot tub was great & the house is fully stocked with all the necessities.

We met up for a women's family gathering. Absolutely love the deck and beautiful view of the river. Great open space downstairs to gather. Kitchen was well stocked. Communication with property manager was timely and smooth. Would definitely return.

This house - the location, the amenities - were absolutely perfect for our friend group of 14. Everyone had a bed to sleep on, the kitchen was extremely well stocked and there was plenty of common space between the living room, dining area and the amazing deck for everyone to spread out. The view and access to the river is just as great as it looks in the photos, and everyone kept commenting that we had picked the perfect place for a relaxing mountain weekend. Thanks, Chris and Melanie!

Awesome place to stay for our extended family. Kids loved the beach and the river, as well as the community pool. Kitchen is very well stocked.

Wow! We usually take our annual girls weekend to the beach but wanted to try somewhere new this time that could accommodate our group of seven. We did not regret our decision! Upon entering the property I immediately noticed it smelled and looked absolutely spotless and clean. The decor is rustic and beautiful, the view is stunning, the beds were warm and inviting and the house had everything we needed including a fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was hot, relaxing and paired nicely with the blanket of stars and the sounds of the gorgous Sandy River racing below. We spent almost a full day down at the beachy access and small swimming hole, enjoyed home cooked meals, laughs and card games on the expansive deck, and slept like logs. We even saw a bald eagle on our last morning sipping our coffee on the deck. Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cabin and we definitely plan to return again!

This was a great place to stay at, easily slept 9 adults and 6 little kids. The view from the back deck was great and had easy access to the river. The community pool access was a really nice bonus. Everything was as described in the listing! I wish the check-in time was a little earlier than 5PM, but this was otherwise an exceptional place to stay. We hope to be back again next year!

Three families gathered for a friend reunion. Plenty of space to spread out- both indoors and outdoors. Kids loved the bunk bed room and the hot tub. The house was a little more dated than expected but overall was a great layout for a big group! One thing that threw us off was, the cleaning lady was still at the house when we arrived (at 5:30pm) and didn’t leave until around 8pm…

We enjoyed our stay very much. Wish we could have stayed longer. Chris was a very responsive and welcoming host and went out of his way to make sure we were able to have a wonderful stay. Our party was able to swim in the river, tubed down the rapids although the currents got strong on our last day and caught a small trout. The hot tub was a big hit too. We needed two places to fit our big party and the A frame next to his was available and made the trip even more convenient. Highly recommend!

Our group of 14 loved our stay on the river. Although it was more rustic than our picky-non-paying teens wanted, it had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Each couple had their own room and our kids enjoyed having their own twin beds in the bunk room. We were pleasantly surprised to see there were 6 twins in the kid room instead of 4, so the teens didn’t have to share the twin trundle. The swimming areas right in front of the property were perfect for our group since we were able to corral all the young ones into the little coves on the sandy shores. The community pool and basketball court were a close walk for the kids and our husbands were able to go golfing just a short drive away. Chris was very communicative so we felt like we were staying with an uncle instead of just a homeowner. We picked this place as a last minute stay but will definitely be back again if they’ll have us.

This home is suited to those who wish to spend quiet time with family. It is nestled into a quiet neighborhood with a great front porch and a full view of the river from the back deck. The deck is large and three-tiered with room for the BBQ, hot tub and sitting in a small group. Lots of chairs, tables and benches. The "misters" were a great surprise. Access to a small beach area requires stepping down a few boulders. There is a trail past the house that is an easier path. This section of the river is suitable for for wading rather than swimming. Having one bedroom on the main floor is great for those who wish to avoid stairs. All of the beds and linens were quality. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils. Our host and housekeeper were attentive and very responsive. The check-in was easy and everything was in working order. We had a great time.

This property needs to be professional cleaned, There are rings in the toilets !. Had approval for early check-in for 4pm instead of 5pm but the cleaning person was their until 7pm and the house was vacant 2 days before our arrival. The cleaning woman lied to me saying the check-in was changed to 5pm when I arrived at 4:35; I assumed she would be gone by 5pm however she worked until 7pm. There was plenty of time for this house to be cleaned before we arrived. This was a family birthday surprise for my husband. While the location is beautiful the house was not as described and presented based on the website photos/ descriptions. Very disappointed spoke with owner when he arrived on time to clean the outside, all he offered was an apology saying he only cleans the outside, not the inside. In my mind the owner is responsible for all issues. The sliding glass door lock to the back porch has been broken so long it is described in their check-in book. Wifi was not available all of the time. I have rented many VRBOs and this one was the worst for being clean--but there is no excuse for the property not being ready when it was book 6 months in advance.

The house was spacious yet cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. The view is truly beautiful , surpassed our expectations.
Some constructive criticism:The toilets all had rings, dark ones. It is a very wrong impression from the get go. Pumice stone would help. The patchwork sofa is lumpy and uncomfortable and has seen better days . We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the hospitality. The Bells

The property was very well suited and situated for our family of 10..we especially enjoyed meals together with a huge table and chairs for all. The kitchen was very well stocked and being right on the Sandy made it so serene and beautiful. We would definitely come back.

Guy's trip to celebrate in late spring. Beautiful home and location. We lucked out with great weather, warm enough to take quick dips in the shallow pools along the river bank. Wonderful view, river/beach access, fire pit, great deck with hot tub, and plenty of beds. Hosts know what they are doing and make the entire check in/chekout process super easy. 10/10 would book again.

We had two toddlers and four couples all meet here for Memorial Day weekend. Access to the water was a little tricky with little ones, as we had to climb down boulders and behind bushes, but the river was beautiful and the kids spent hours throwing rocks into the river. Kitchen wax stocked with all the serve ware we needed, and the big table was great for our large group. We spent a lot of time out on the back patio- plenty of seats, and umbrellas and trees for shade. The rooms were clean and blankets/towels well stocked. Plus the homeowner called after check in to make sure we were squared away. A few of us fly fish and we’re able to do so right out back. One challenge was the Wi-Fi went in and out, which was hard because someone in our group was supposed to work remotely for one of the days but was unable to with the spotty connection. Though by and large this was a wonderful spot for our family. Be sure to bring buckets and shovels if you have little ones!

Great place and one of the best views you will find on the river. The bathrooms/kitchen are dated, but function perfectly and are exceptionally clean.
Definitely recommended.

We rented this over Easter weekend with a group of friends and close family. The place was very clean when we arrived. Loved the decor, a very cozy house. The view of the river was spectacular, especially while sitting in the hot tub. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we still had a great time! The massage chair was a nice extra treat.
The house was very well stocked and we had everything if not more of what we needed. The hosts were great and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.
We really had a great time here!

Stayed a few days over spring break. Good location to use as a base for exploring mount hood and beautiful river views. Kids loved the hot tub. Beds were comfortable. The massage chair was a big hit.
It might be a function of the location, but wifi is quite slow.

We have enjoyed our stay last year that we had to come back and have our 3 daughters here with us and their families. It was a wonderful experience and to make memories watching the joy on their faces to be in a cozy & beautiful home and snow falling the first night not was just amazing. We could enjoy home cooked meals and enjoy just being alone with our immediate family. We hope to be able to get a reservation next year as we plan to return. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

First, you can tell when you arrive that this is a cabin that has been well loved and filled with memories over the years - which is something I loved about it. The views outside are absolutely amazing, and the property itself is on a little slice of heaven. The house itself was very well equipped for a group who loves to cook, and hang out together/play games. Wonderful stay, would definitely book again.

Beautiful view from the hot tub. Provided many essentials for cooking. Fairly clean. Unfortunately due to weather conditions the Wi-Fi and Dish did not work. But everything else went well. Chris responded to messages quickly and tried to help with the Wi-Fi and Dish issues. Overall it was a nice stay. And we enjoyed the massage chair many times!!

This place has a spectacular location. We enjoyed the river view and sounds. It was nice to be able to dive 20 minutes to mount Hood to play in the snow. The owner was very helpful when we had questions. We would love to go back!

Had a great time over the Xmas holiday. First night we were without power for a bit due to an ice storm but Chris was so accommodating and diligent about making sure that we had everything we needed. The house keeper Linda checked in as well to make sure we were well supplied with wood for the stove. Everyone had a great time and I look forward to staying at this house again

This is a very comfortable and spacious home, the patio and hot tub experience overlooking the Sandy River is completely magnificent! Very peaceful and awe inspiring.

This location is amazing. Beautiful view of the river, nice hot tub, relatively close to the mountain for snow sports, etc. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the internet was essentially non-functional. Don't plan on having WiFi if you come here. We needed to have some team meetings as part of our retreat and the lack of internet connection made it a real challenge. That's the only thing that will prevent me from wanting to stay here again, unless fixed. I would recommend for the host to get better internet, something like StarLink at least. Either that, or don't advertise the listing as having WiFi. The host Chris was very easy to reach, kind, and helpful.
