The place looks much better in the photos. It smelt like hospital grade disinfectant but felt grubby. We didn't realize that linen and towels weren't provided, our fault for not reading the fine print all the way to the bottom. While we had enough to get by, we decided not to stay as we felt very uncomfortable in the place. Definitely not 1 minute drive to the beach. Place is managed by Smyth Real Estate. They told me I should have rung the after hours number, I looked for this number in the email correspondence and the add but was not able to find it. I emailed to ask where it could be found, no response to that email or my previous one. No refund was offered. We found excellent accommodation up the road. Keep looking, there are much better places around.

This house was clean and tidy and has most things you would need on a trip away. The first night we got there it was cold and already after dark. We couldn't get the heater to work and we couldn't find the gas bottles outside in the dark. So we froze that night. The next morning hubby decided to check the gas bottles and they were off. We should have been instructed that they needed to be turned on and where they were.. Instructions left in the house or on the fridge would have been good. The house did have an odd smell that never seemed to go even after airing out. Could do with some bed side lamps so the kids can get up during the night on their own if need be. Unfortunately all the surrounding neighbours are very close and their dogs barked a lot and kept us awake. It also doesn't have Wifi which most places have now a days so we struggled a bit without it. Other than these few things we had an enjoyable weekend.

Enjoyable weekend in Lorne with ocean views and beach surroundings

Great place

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was clean, functional and comfortable.

Spacious living area. Wide balcony to eat and enjoy views. Quiet location but not walking distance to town centre. Unfortunately lacking WIFI.

The location listed on Stayz was incorrect. It was much further from the town than advertised

Great value, tidy house with all the basic conveniences for a family. The house is located a little out of town, up across from the golf course but close enough to walk.

After 7 months home schooling a local getaway was needed!! House was in a quiet location, with sea views. Property was covid clean upon arrival. It did lack a few items ( lamps, iron) . Fitness is a must for the hills if you are not taking your car! Great week away & real estate staff were friendly & helpful.
