Le lac Rathbun est l'un des plus grands et des plus beaux lacs de l'Iowa avec plus de 11 000 acres d'eau, 155 miles de rivage, des criques accueillantes et une grande qualité d'eau. Ceci combiné avec le beau bois de chêne et de caryer et des milliers d'acres de prairies indigènes restaurées, offre un cadre merveilleux pour profiter des grands espaces. Il y a 21 000 acres de terres publiques offrant baignade, navigation de plaisance, chasse, golf, sentiers, huit parcs, marina et parc de VTT hors route. La cabine a une grande terrasse partiellement couverte à l'avant et un anneau de feu dans la cour arrière. Un pont vous mène également par la porte arrière vous permettant une intimité totale car vous êtes entouré de bois de tous les côtés. La cabine a également une laveuse et une sécheuse, un lave-vaisselle et un grand réfrigérateur, WIFI avec Hulu en direct et streaming de films. Il se trouve sur deux lots qui borde le lac Rathbun dans la subdivision Antler Acres avec un accès privé à un sentier pédestre menant au lac.

Perfect for a long weekend getaway! Quiet private location. Nice walking path to the lake. Great amenities! We enjoyed it very much!!

We found the home ready for us and well supplied with everything we needed. I appreciated the back-up propane tank for the grill as we needed it. Nice grill, by the way! Almost needed a stepstool to get in the bed! It was a fishing trip for myself and my three sons. Plenty of room to park the boat and two other cars. A less than 10-minute drive to the State Park boat ramp. Also brought two kayaks which we left hidden in the woods by the lake shore. No problems.

We liked the cabin. We loved how close to the shore of Rathbun Lake it is. Reasonable price for a getaway.
The owner is exceptionally accommodating. Our original dates were going to have temperatures in the 100s. He allowed us to postpone so we could enjoy our vacation. Thank you so much Scott!!

Great house, just had lots of dust and cobwebs along with the beds are super squeaky and the bathroom door was pointless as you could see around it.

This property is close to the public boat ramps at the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with detergents, kitchen supplies, serving dishes, etc. Lots of seating in the living room for family movie nights.

We had a good time with our stay. A real plus was that the home was stocked with utensils, towels, a nice grill, bedding, etc. Really liked the country decor also. Would stay there again in the future.

This place was awesome, we enjoyed our stay, highly recommend and highly considering a summer get away Scott was so helpful with our TV problem and it was extremely appreciated. It snowed while we were there, the outside was so beautiful even though we stayed in most of it, we appreciated the option for a pet, our mocha aka—- mochi pokey(English Bulldog) enjoyed family time with us as well. Thank you so much for letting us use your rental property 🤗😊

We stayed at this location for a weekend away with a group of friends. The property owner was very easy to work with. The house was perfect for game night with friends.
Neighbors were super friendly and came down to visit with smoked meat goodies to share.

Very nice, clean and great location. Roomy living area with new comfy couches, plenty of room for the family to relax together. Well provisioned…we had everything we needed and the TV and Wi-Fi worked great. We will definitely return in the summer to enjoy the deck and fire pit.

Unfortunately, I did not really get to enjoy the stay as I was back there to take care of some matters for my mother. It was nice place to retreat to after dealing with family all day.

Me and my two girlfriends needed a centrally located location for a girl’s trip. One was from Illinois, Iowa and Kansas; so this location was great so no one had to travel a long distance. The three of us got together to make a Quilt of Valor and this house was great. It was a bit dark, but with the use of lights, we had good lighting. The linens and towels were all new and fresh. We finished our Quilt of Valor around 5 PM and headed out to BK’s Boathouse to celebrate. We would definitely stay at this location again. It was great!

This is our 2nd time at this cabin, and its perfect for us 6 girls meeting from 3 states. Just the right amount of room for all of us. We love the front porch, and the fire pit in the back yard. Thanks again for an enjoyable stay!!

My family and I had a very relaxing time while we were there! The house was very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful and peaceful. Especially the path down to the lake! Everything was clean and nice and the host was very nice and quick to respond to any questions.

We loved the location, neighbors and the gravel loop around the properties; we walked it daily during our stay. We had small children staying with us that made some of these a big deal to us; others probably not a deal at all. The main bathroom door didn't latch or stay shut and the front door didn't latch unless you pulled it shut. The "walking path" is nice but actually broke our wagon and the large rocks need to be noted on the house description as with or without children, someone could twist an ankle easily. The House had everything that we needed, the cable was nice, plenty of sitting room, and towels if needed for the beach! We could smell the cleaner when we walked in, which was nice to know it was cleaned!

Scott communicated with me immediately after I emailed him each time in the months leading up to our stay and responded within minutes during our stay when we had questions. The property accommodated our 6 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs easily. The home had everything we wanted/needed and the beach access was perfect. We will definitely be back!

The size is just right for 6. The master bedroom is large. The guest bedrooms are small but comfortable. The path to the lake is longer than you think but the cove access is great for an afternoon swim or a little evening cat fishing. There's a full selection of pots/pans and a crockpot, which was great for easy meal prep during a long day on the water. We didn't get to use the fire ring (too hot during our stay) but its a nice set up. We had a great time.
