My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. We combined hike on nearby trails in the morning with swimming a kayaking in the afternoon. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Thank you Val and Kevin for a most relaxing few days on the lake. The view is amazing with mountains in the distance! The lake is excellent for swimming although the drop off is immediate. We enjoyed fishing from our small motor boat and were pleasantly surprised how few boats were on the lake! The camp is so comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen! We chose to eat most meals at camp taking advantage of the grill just outside on the deck. There is a very cozy sitting area around the fire pit also overlooking the lake. Fans are a plenty so sleeping on the warm nights was comfortable. For those who need to be plugged in, the Wi-Fi is great and TV is state of the art with access to for example Netflix. We enjoyed exploring the area a bit even taking a 40 minute jaunt to North Conway. We had a wonderful getaway and look forward to a return visit!

Beautiful lakeside rental. Home had all the amenities one would want. Road behind house can get noisy, but who cares when you are focused on the lake!

Absolutely stunning! This special cabin has become our favorite family reunion spot each summer after school has ended and all the grades are done. It is the perfect jump start to summer after each year of teaching high school. There is something for everyone regardless of age. So we’ll stocked and lovingly decorated. It is our dream vacation. This was a perfect little cabin on a very peaceful 300 acre lake.

We enjoyed a short stay in this beautiful cottage overlooking the water. The accommodations were just perfect with two exceptions: the height of the ceilings and the doorways do not accommodate a person over 6' tall. My husband is 6' 2" and had to walk with extreme care while using the rooms with the nicest view of the water and in all doorways. We also found the noise from the heavy trucking traffic along this road to be rather loud during the day. Families with very young children may find the distance between the house and the road to be somewhat unsafe at only 22'. Overall it was very enjoyable.

My husband and I stayed at this very well equipped cabin for 4 nights, and with the exception of a slight misunderstanding on our part as to the location of the front door :) we found the cabin to be better than the photos show. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, there were many options from which to view the lake which is just steps away. The hosts have provided just about anything you might need, including a washer and dryer. The outside area has a firepit and comfortable lounge chairs. My husband was happy with the dock from which he spent many hours fishing with a little success. We did find that the bathroom was very small and could use an upgrade which Val has said was in the plan for next year, and I think that would make the cabin just about perfect. What we didn't enjoy was the traffic. As we had arrived on Labor Day, there was no commercial traffic on the road at all, but the following morning, starting at 6 a.m., the logging trucks and dump trucks started driving by, and the noise level was quite high and continued throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday. The evening and nights were quiet, so your sleep is not disturbed, and after a while you get used to it. Communication with Val was perfect, she responded immediately to any question. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay, and thank you.

Though situated on a moderately busy roadway the sounds of traffic were totally unobtrusive in the comfort and coziness of this lakeside camp. Waves lapping the shoreline just below the window were a pleasant sunrise alarm clock. And sunsets across the water were beautiful.

This property is a real gem. It’s a beautifully maintained classic Maine camp, with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Well appointed with linens, cookware, pantry items and bug spray, and everything you need to enjoy your trip. We really enjoyed fishing and kayaking, and my son loved jumping off the floating dock into the pristine lake. There aren’t a whole bunch of stores or restaurants nearby, but that’s exactly the way we like it. There was plenty of room for all of us to read, cook, watch TV, sit outside by the fire, or sit on the dock and enjoy the beautiful lake with a glass of wine or cup of coffee. Val is wonderful host and a great communicator - we will definitely be returning to this sweet little cottage.

(nice fire pit area) Not only was it immaculate, the furniture and accessories were in fine order, nothing that I looked at and thought, "they should replace this". Although on a busy road, there are no immediate neighbors which was my favorite detail. I actually had coffee in my PJs on the dock! No loud boats, noisy neighbors... just peace. We used the kayaks, fished, floated in the water, and had great fires. Rocky entrance to beach, may be hard for very little ones, no toddling into water on their own... I loved my stay and would highly recommend this quaint, well maintained lakeside GEM. Thank you Valerie!!

This place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved using the kayaks (with 4 included life vests - 2 adult / 2 child) and sitting out on the dock under the stars. We would definitely stay here again!

Our 3 day stay here was wonderful. Everything we needed was here., and it all felt very safe and clean. Enjoyed being right on the lake. The only downfall Is the location of the cottage being right on a busy road.

This has been a magnificent week. The cabin is cozy and rustic, but it has all the amenities so it's not like you are 'roughing it'- it's very comfortable (especially the master bed!) and peaceful here. Views from the bedroom and back of house are spectacular, the cabin is literally right on the lake. We had a minor issue with the TV not working, reached out to the owner and she solved the problem immediately for us. Very impressed. Meanwhile, there are lots of wonderful hiking trails not far away, we especially enjoyed Cathedral Ledge in New Hampshire. We also enjoyed a trip to Naples Lake where we had a delicious lunch on the water. We are sad to be leaving for home today!

We spent a week in August in this charming cabin. It is authentic and very well kept small but you would never feel boxed or crowded, because there are views from every corner. Clean lake, great for kayaking and swimming. Cabin is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Picture on site don't actually do justice to either the cabin itself or views. It all looks better than picture The only con in this property is that it sits right on a small but busy road and it gets noisy at times. Trucks drive through it all the time. Peaceful and picturesque vies make up for it. Owner (Val) was very responsive . We enjoyed our stay tremendously

We had a blast over 10 days in this cabin. There was a lot of space to hang out and read. The lake was clean and warm. Kitchen had everything you needed to have a lobster boil and grilling outside. We enjoyed the kayaks and the raft off the dock as well.

The location was perfect. The five days we spent here were some of the most relaxing days I’ve ever had. They have everything you need for a perfect getaway! Our vacation was incredible!

Great views and fishing. Cottage has plenty of room for a small family. On main road so we had to be extra careful with kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has everything you could want. We parked our boat on the dock and relaxed all weekend. Great communication by the owner.

Could not be closer to the water!

This is a great getaway destination with everything you could need. Surrounding area is choc full of things to do for both little and big kids! Falling into the lake fully dressed was my favourite!!! The only downside we could see was the proximity of the road on two sharp bends around the cabin. We were too tired to be kept awake at night and awake before most of the traffic started in the morning, so no big deal for us. Val responded immediately to both my communications and was very helpful. Highly recommended!
