We had a wonderful stay at this property. There are two decks and a screened porch and the view from each is fantastic! The neighborhood is quiet and serene, the beach is beautiful, and the host very responsive. All in all, a great place to stay!

We had a great and relaxing stay!! The pictures online do not do this property justice! Very surprised at how spacious the property is. Very well stocked and had everything we needed to make this a relaxing week. There is a short walk to the beach, but once you get there It's great! Property owner was gracious and easy to work with. Great stay!

Our family has been renting this property for a week or two most summers for the last 20 years. Personally this was my 8th-ish stay at the house. We’ve grown a real attachment to the place. You can’t beat the location, view, or charm. Everything the 6 of us needed was right there. This was the cleanest I had ever seen the house. Definitely worth our trip from Wisconsin. We’ll be back, again.

We had a great stay. The views from the upper deck are wonderful. So peaceful and relaxing. There are many activities nearby for everyone. We golfed, kayaked (provided!), fished, and of course, went to the beach. Also it's a great place to do absolutely nothing. :) If you have little ones I would recommend Skaket Beach at high tide. I loved the quietness of the very private neighborhood. We had to contact Katy once when the propane for the gas grill ran out and she had two tanks for us the next morning. Thanks Katy. Can't wait for our next Cape vacation.

lovely family feel
this place is very comfortable from the first night to the last night. The only problem we had is it is not very well cleaned and does need some minor maintenance. Other than that, no one wanted to leave. walk to the beach less than half a mile and plenty of room for private time. nice cool breeze all the time. it actually got a little chilly so bring jackets just in case.
We will try to get back here. Some of the other places look nicer but we personally like the old homey feel of post and beam construction.

Great spot in walking to beach!
My family has rented on the Cape for years, but never before had we been in walking distance (~10min including the boardwalk over the marsh) to the beach, and lemme say it's a game-changer. Unfortunately with our growing family we will likely size out of staying here again, but would def consider it in a heartbeat if it kept working for us! Big open living/kitchen/dining space was comfortable to move around, comfortable beds with ample windows to enjoy the breeze. Love the marsh views and falling asleep to the sound of waves and birds every night. Quiet residential neighborhood and semi-private beach near Nauset were top notch. Ample parking, all the amenities you could want - kayak, boogie boards, grill, laundry, stocked kitchen. The only drawback is the lockbox containing key is a bit old and sticks easily. Also note that the walk/park permit for the private beach area for summer 2022 say 2021 on them, which was unknown to us initially but luckily the nice man guarding the entrance each day let us through knowing which house we were staying at.

Perfect property to get away. Overlooking salt marshes with ocean sounds in the background. Cozy classic Cap Cod house comfortable for the week for a family. Plenty of time to experience all of the Cape with proximity to all. Beach walking distance. Kayak launch close by (need a way to bring with car - too far to carry). Easy to get answers from property manager for questions not summarized in advance. Located away from “thickly settled” areas in a private managaged neighborhood.

Peaceful, Private Gem on the Cape
This tucked-away location, within view and sound of the waves, was perfect for us to connect with our college kids over the holiday. Plenty of space and privacy. The house had everything we wanted and needed for our visit and we would definitely stay here again. The beach is an easy, three-minute walk down the quiet, private road. We watched the herons and egrets in the marsh, looked for constellations at night, and loved the central location of Orleans to explore other parts of the Cape. You can feel the generations of love and happy family memories in this house.

This place could not be better situated. It shows it’s age, but so do I. Tremendous space, comfort, and views to keep you coming back. Very highly recommended.

A beautiful spot.
It's a spacious and interesting house. There are bikes, kayaks, and boogie boards in the garage, and all were used. The view is lovely and ever-changing. If you have a large group (we had 6), this house is for you. The glass table on the master bedroom patio needed wiping down from some accumulated dust, but other than that, all was clean.

Great stay near Nauset
We had a wonderful week plus right next to Nauset Beach. The house was beautiful, with lots of great views from inside the house and out on a couple different decks. A great big yard for kids to play in, and easy access to the Pochet association Nauset Beach access point (maybe a 3 minute walk?). It’s a straight shot to drive to Skaket Beach on the other side of Orleans. Easy access to downtown and a few restaurants as well. We tried both Barleyneck Inn and The Rail, and had a great meal from both. Katy was receptive and quick to respond to questions. We had a really great stay and we would love to visit again some time.

Incredible location
The wheel house is the best. It’s situated on picturesque corner of the cape, with views of a tidal creek and the ocean from almost every window. There is a short scenic walk to a beautiful beach with very few people on it. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of space and multiple decks. We had a great week!

Amazing views!
My family of 8 stayed the weekend in this beautiful home! It had everything we needed including a toasty fireplace to sit by when a roaring storm hit! Amazing views of the ocean from the three decks and most windows! Would highly recommend this home to anyone who loves having access to the ocean! Thank you Katy for your hospitality and sharing your amazing home!

Family fun vacation house
The Wheel House is your quintessential Cape Cod beach house. The view from the house is breathtaking, the secluded location is perfect and the house is large. There are 4 good size bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Kitchen is well stocked. There is a deck off the upstairs family room and a screened in porch off the master. Everything about the house is worthy of a 5 star rating.

The location to the beach is convenient. A short distance to resturants. But the privacy of the Wheel House is amazing in a private neighborhood. Thanks for sharing.

The location is amazing and the house is a landmark.
We have stayed at the Wheel House many times and our time there is always wonderful. The house is an old rustic Cape house with many marvelous pieces of history within it. The location and the views can not be replicated anywhere. We love it.

Comfortable, homey, clean, great access to the coast & being out doors.
Just what we were looking for this Mother's Day weekend. Owner was very informative and flexible with checking in & out. House was well stocked with supplies. Having the fireplace was a real treat.

Amazing!
There aren't enough great things I can say about the wheel house! Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with leading up to our stay! The views from the house are truly amazing. Pictures don't do it justice. It's definitely something you need to experience in person. The house was immaculately clean and perfect for our group! The beach access was incredible and all the wildlife was beautiful. Great place
To kayak! This was the perfect house for a perfect weekend!

Had the best time at this Nauset Beach gem
The house, stay, and location was exactly what we needed and wanted. This rambling beach house has personality and character. We were a group of 5 but could have easily had a few more in the space. Lots of open areas and quiet corners. We loved eating around the big table together and sitting on the second floor deck which looks out to the marsh and Nauset Beach.
A walk to the beach is only 10 minutes away- down the unpaved road to the marsh boardwalk. The beach was stunning at every time of day with very few people on it. At dawn, the beach was empty, save the birds on the beach and seals in the water. The sun rises were amazing.
We also loved using the outside shower and sitting on the back deck. We were lucky to get stunning weather and we spent almost all of our time outside but I think that hanging out in the house on rainy days- reading books and playing games would also be memorable.
Highly recommend this house which provides access to a really pristine part of the Cape Code National Seashore.

Spacious, comfortable, private, fantastic views - everything you want in a beach house!
The pictures don't do the Wheel House justice. The location can't be beat; it's private and quiet and has fantastic views from both decks, the screened-in porch, and the upper floor living room. The great room is rustic, roomy, comfortably furnished, casual, airy. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped. It's well-ventilated and has window air conditioners. The walk to the beach is short, and it's a great beach. We stayed in mid September, watched sunrises, birds, and breaching whales from the upper deck; grilled and entertained on the lower deck, had dinner for nine at the long dining table, completed a puzzle in the great room, walked the beach watching seals, and gazed at marine life from the foot bridge over the tidal creek. We can't wait to go back!

Great vacation spot
We had a great experience. The house is just the right mix of old and new. New being the updated kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom with screened in porch and upstairs sunroom with outside deck. Old being the post and beam living room with that lived in feeling and nostalgia with 3 older bedrooms. Wonderful views of the ocean and inlet with lots of different kinds of birds that makes you want to become a bird watcher. We saw deer in the inlet and rabbits in the yard. It was unusual to stay somewhere and not want to go anywhere else because we could walk to the beach or enjoy the scenery and wildlife for hours. Highly recommend this place. Loved it!!!
