We are a party of 3 adults and 2 dogs who stayed 2 nights in this lovely Idyllwild retreat. My only complaint is that our stay was too short!! The home is very clean and comfortable; the online pictures don’t really do it justice…it’s just so charming! We all loved hanging out on the deck, and our dogs loved the very large, fenced backyard. The property is also very convenient to town. I can’t wait to return! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Anna

We decided at the last minute to get away for the long weekend with our dog and were lucky enough to find this place. Sure, it's a little dated but clean, comfortable and well appointed. The fenced in, large backyard was great for the dog. The deck was a nice way to end our days, enjoying a drink and dinner al fresco. Not far from the center of town, which gave us the option of walking. Marilyn was very responsive.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great spot for the cost with lots of extras it felt like staying at a grandma's home away from home. As some of the reviews mentioned the decor and furniture is a bit outdated although it is all in good condition so we were fine with it. The location was perfect. A 10-12 minute walk to the c town center with plenty of nature walks/hiking surrounding. I was in for an intensive 6 day training so I didn't get as much time to explore as I'd like but my husband did & loved it. The master bed was a bit uncomfortable but bareable & I found the right side more comfortable than left. I had some back pain coming I to the stay so it could be I was more sensitive than normal - it didnt bother my husband. We didn't utilize the other beds so I can't speak to those. Communication was pretty limited with property manager due to how busy I was and given that we didn't need anything during our stay but the minimal communication seemed pleasant enough with the exception of not hearing back about a couple texts I sent as we were leaving the property (although they didn't necessarily warrant a response I suppose). All in all happy with our stay. The town has plenty of good food nearby as well. Beautiful, grounded, unique little town!!

My partner and I stayed for a little over a month, working remotely and exploring the area. It was absolutely incredible. The backyard was great, communication with the host was great! Any little hiccups we encountered on our month + stay were quickly addressed. Loved our stay and would absolutely come back!

Our family and pup had a lovely stay! We took advantage of the close proximity to Idyllwild park, the community playground and center of town. We also enjoyed relaxing on the deck, running around the backyard and relaxing by the fire. Perfect spot for families and incredibly dog friendly! Marilyn has also setup the house with lots of guidance/instruction and information about restaurants and what to do nearby.

Marylan was a super good hostess and manager a delight to work with the home was perfect and all respect well taken care of and well stocked with everything you could ask for even the pantry had extras for your stay.

Our stay had everything you could want or need. It was a wonderful weekend being so close to town and close to Idyll wild park. Large fenced yard was perfect and a big plus in our book. Will definitely stay again

We truly enjoyed our stay. It was very nice to have someplace to take our Dogs and they enjoyed it as much as we did!!!!!

The house is very quiet & perfectly located to walk into the village. It's also wonderfully dog-friendly, & our little guy enjoyed having his own dog comforter & the huge wild backyard. The furnishings & appliances are from another era but all are comfortable & kept up very well. A good feature for us was the large, newer TV that we could plug our Roku stick into for streaming. There's not much to do in Idyllwild, so 2 nights was just enough for us. Thanks Marilyn for an easy & comfortable stay. (-:

First time to Idyllwild for a family wedding. Beautiful area. Wish we had more time to explore. Quaint, clean accommodations with everything we needed in a nice location close to all our activities in the town square area. Accommodating host. Hope we can visit again.

We enjoyed the clean and well appointed cabin. Had all the amenities we could have wanted. Close to town and hiking. Had a lovely vacation experience and enjoyed watching the squirrels.

Our stay at this property was very nice. The check-in and check-out process was quite simple. Communication with the manager was prompt and easy. The home is very welcoming. We didn't stay in the home much, but when we were there we were very comfortable.

What a beautiful and tranquil place for us and our senior dogs to getaway and have some great R&R. This was an absolute delight providing everything we needed and more. The place had so much character and was well kept, that it inspired our artistic vibes for photography & filmmaking. Excited to return again sometime in the future.

Well stocked, clean and comfy property. The little dogs enjoyed Very large safely fenced backyard. We enjoyed the deck morning and evening. It was a short walk to local park, on a quiet dead end street. Refreshing! Will definitely go back.

The Oak Tree cabin was the perfect choice for our week in the mountains. It's located near trails and town, so we barely needed to drive. The deck makes a perfect spot for morning coffee, a good book, or outdoor meals.

We had a great visit in Idyllwild for Father's Day weekend. THe home was wonderful and fully stocked. We had open, easy communication with the owner. Great place!

We spent a two month extended stay in this spacious and charming cabin. The open plan kitchen is large and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed eating our meals el fresco out on the wonderful deck. Our dog loved the huge, fully-fenced backyard, and the hikes in Idyllwild Park, which is a five-minute walk from the house. The internet was excellent and supported three of us working and schooling from home. Marilyn is a wonderful and responsive host.

Fantastic location, central to everything you’ll be doing in Idyllwild. Nothing fancy about this place, but had everything we needed. Marilyn is extremely nice and accommodating. Will book again for sure.
