There is literally a mountain peak out the back door. The house is extremely well stocked and you have more than enough to make yourself feel at home while on vacation. Everyone from little to big enjoyed our stay. Deena and Brooke from Key Montana Properties are wonderful to work with. We had to reschedule our dates because of COVID and they made it so easy. I would recommend this house over and over again.

Kate Chrome catered some fabulous food. We ended our trip with floating down the Yellowstone River with Yellowstone Wooden Boat tours. Every minute exceeded our expectations!

Our family of 5 ( 3 teenage boys) had an amazing week staying at Cowboy Ranch Lodge! The home exceeded our expectations: space , location , cleanliness, comfort , view , activity , etc.. The boys fished on the pond just adjacent to the property and had good successs with some nice sized Rainbows , we brought mountain bikes and road the trails around the Buffalo Ranch area and stumbled surprisingly upon a “ old town “ movie set being constructed on the property and ventured up the emigrant creek gulch road which was really fun area to explore on bike. The trips into Yellowstone were very easy and we had two fun days in the park. We also used the recommendation from the property manager for our guided fishing and whitewater rafting ! The proximity to emigrant ( 5 mins) , Livingston. 25-30, and Yellowstone ( 35-40 mins to north entrance) were nearly perfect for what we had planned for our week.

I've stayed at several houses in Paradise valley and this is a favorite. Quiet location on grassy plateau above Chico Hot Springs. House accommodated two families well. Large, functional kitchen for cooking and dining. Great patio for viewing sunset. Well stocked with cups, plates, tableware; etc; could use some updated cookware.

This was truly a perfectly appointed getaway home for our family and friends to enjoy Christmas vacation. This home did not disappoint in any way. Loved the location and the beautiful views. Can’t wait to return in the summer! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cowboy Lake Lodge. The house was beautiful and offered spectacular views. It accommodated our extended family nicely with plenty of room for the kids to watch movies upstairs and the adults to relax downstairs. It's proximity to Chico Hot Springs was awesome as we were able to enjoy a soak every day and easily partake in the spa services. It also was convenient for enjoying several adventures in Yellowstone We enjoyed a marvelous stay and can't wait to return.

We were able to entertain 25 friends and family from as far away as Belgium. Everyone had a fantastic time and commented on what a beautiful home this is and what a gorgeous setting it sits on. Since our last stay the owner bought a new BBQ pit, added a refrigerator in the garage and while we were there swapped out the coffee maker for a brand new one. The owner and property manager for this property are really trying to make your stay a memorable one. Thanks as always to Brooke and Deena at Turnkey Property Management for meeting our every need. They gave us fantastic advice on things like the Livingston Rodeo, Fourth if July Parade, fly fishing guides and we’re very responsive to some maintenance issues. First class operation all the way. I could go on but you can read my previous reviews if you’d like more. Our family is a huge fan of this property and can’t wait to return. We love Montana, paradise valley and Yellowstone National Park!!!

We had a wonderful stay with three generations at Cowboy Lake Lodge. Everything from reservation to check in to check out was outstanding. The views and location were amazing! I highly recommend the home and did I mention the views!!

Perfectly located near Chico Hot Springs, an easy drive to Yellowstone, Livingston and Bozeman. The house was the perfect setting for our family thanksgiving vacation. We hiked, visited the park, took a dip in the hot springs, had gourmet meals at Chico, enjoyed the Rocky Mountain Museum in Bozeman. But mostly we hung out at the house enjoying the beautiful view of snow capped Emigrant Peak with a fire in the fireplace and a hot toddy. House accomodated all eight of us very easily. We love this place and can't wait to return in July.

Reviewer Comments: We have been taking our entire family on a vacation every couple of years and decided to go to the Yellowstone-Grand Teton area this time. The drive into this house was amazing and as we passed the front gate we could see the house sitting on top of the hill. When we walked into the house we were stunned by the grandeur of the rustic charm it represents. We would spend as much time as possible enjoying the views both inside and out. The property description was exactly as promised and then some. The house was exceptionally clean and you could tell that it had been maintained. We did venture out to local Chico Hot Springs and soaked there three times as well as spending one evening eating in their dining room. A fun place with a local flavor. On our last night we went to Sage Lodge which is a new resort that is still under construction and sat outside on the patio for one last meal in Montana. It was the perfect ending to our vacation. We hired a private guide to take us into Yellowstone that proved to be the best way to get a highlight of this massive park. We ended driving to Grand Teton one day and drove back to Yellowstone for a picnic lunch also. The location of this place is perfect and the pond out front provided our grandchildren to catch and release some very good size trout. We had one problem so contacted Deena and she responded immediately to our needs. Also left something behind and she went out of her way to find and ship out what we had forgotten to us. Her service was beyond anything I have experienced before. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful location with so much to offer to all ages. We would definitely put this at the top of our list if we return!

We had plenty of space for our grandchildren to play and visit, and every family had their own bedroom and bathroom space. The moutanious views were incredible. Many family members enjoyed fishing at cowboy lake. Our main objective was to visit Yellowstone National Park and we accomplished that goal. We took one day off to stay close to the house and experience activities in Emigrant and Livingston. We also went to Chico Hot Springs. We had breakfast and lunch in Emigrant. I will say when planning to visit Yellowstone it will take a big part of the day, but was well worth the drive. It was a great area to visit and would love to go back again!

We had a fabulous time! The house was absolutely amazing! The area was absolutely beautiful! Everything we needed for our getaway and birthday celebration was at the house! Being so close to Chico Hot Springs was a huge bonus for us to relax at the pool and then come back to relax by the fireplace. We will for sure be back for all our future adventures in that area. The house was perfect and we all left with some amazing memories!

We rented this home for 6 nights along with family members and a friend in August since it was only about 30-40 min to west yellowstone's entrance and 10 min to Chico hot springs for horse back riding. The home is gorgeous! High beamed ceilings, heavy nutty alder doors, bedrooms with private in suite bath, huge kitchen/dining/great room area, laundry room with full size W/D. Beautifully decorated in all rooms. I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons: with waking up at 5am to drive to Yellowstone each day, we wanted to turn on the inside fireplace, since it was only in the high 30's in the mornings, however it was broken. The outdoor waterfall was broken as well, with really thick green algae growing from it, making it a haven for mosquitoes. With a home of this nature we thought the outdoor furniture would be more substantial and comfortable, but it was not. Just a few hard back metal chairs and a table. The A/C even when turned down to 65 at night never seemed to cool off the bedrooms. We thought it was due to the end of the season, why these things were not getting addressed, however, the maintenance man came and tried to fix both the fireplace and A/C to no avail. Housekeeping needs to be addressed more, especially in the kitchen with all counter tops, stove, sink, and even some of the pots, pans and utensils had "some" krud left on them. All the lighting & chandelier needs dusted as it was laying on top of them. With these things being noted, we would still rent this home again for the comfort, size, decorating, bedrooms with in-suite baths, and full size W/D, as the other small things can be addressed by maintenance and housekeeping. If you rent this lovely home, you will not be disappointed. Also noted: the little town of Emigrant has some great BBQ and a bakery, great general store. Be prepared when you spend the day in Livingston for giving you the "cold shoulder" since you will be "the outsiders" with the exception of a few places.
