First time to Lake Gaston and it was worth the 7 hour drive it takes from Pennsylvania. The home was very clean and comfortable for our family for the week. The view was amazing from the deck of the home. We enjoyed boating and swimming all week. The boathouse was a great size, where the adults could hang out at the high top table while the kids jumped from the roof and lower deck. Downstairs was a great hang out area for the kids who loved playing ping pong and foosball. Will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful, impeccably clean and well kept home at Lake Gaston on Poe Creek. The “creek” is a super wide and long branch off of the main lake, making it ideal for swimming, SUP, kayaking, jet skiing and tubing. Dock can accommodate boat and jet skis. A great place to end the summer.

We are a family of 11 and had an amazing week of gorgeous views, swimming, fishing, tubing, high jumping, splash pad, sunning, kayaking & paddle boarding and tons of memories were made. This is our third year at Lake Gaston and this was one of our favorite homes and locations. The house provided great living space for both adults and children and the placement on the creek was exceptional.we are looking forward to staying here again I'm the future.

The home is beautiful and the main floor room is much larger and more beautiful than the photos reveal. This is one we would love to again visit.

Great house layout- very spacious and well appointed. Owners are very accommodating and even met us at check in to show us around. They were extremely helpful and provided prompt communication throughout the rental process. Perfect location in Poe Creek near Goat Island. Kids enjoyed jumping off the boathouse top deck (deep water), playing on the splash pad, and kayaking/paddle boarding down the creek. We look forward to renting this house again in the future!

Our family had an awesome vacation at this home on Lake Gaston. The house was large enough to accommodate our family of seven adults and six grandchildren. The cove was great for enjoying the kayaks & paddle boards. The splash island was wonderful fun for the kids too! The owners were great to rent from. They met us at the house and showed us around. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our week in this lovely home on Poe Creek in Lake Gaston. The owners were there when we arrived and showed us the house. There were 9 of us—5 adults and 4 kids. On the main floor, there is a king bedroom with en-suite bath. A bunk room with 2 bunks and its own bathroom and a very small 3rd room with a queen bed and a bathroom across the hall from it. Downstairs has a foosball table, ping pong table and a bar set up with sink, ice maker and fridge. There is also another small bedroom with a queen bed. There’s a full bath, however the bathroom is across the game room from the bedroom (when coming out of the shower, I had to tell the kids to go upstairs while I ran to my bedroom!). Outside toys include kayaks and paddle boards for an extra fee, and a splash pad for the kids. Our kids loved jumping off the top of the boat house and fishing from the dock. The home has a beautiful deck off the second floor with tables to use and a gas grill is available which we used many nights. There is a high top table on the dock under the roof of the boathouse which provided much needed shade and that was where the adults hung out while watching the kids. All in all we loved the house. Although not a huge deal, we thought the kitchen supplies were a little sparse. When you are at the lake-especially Lake Gaston where you don’t go out to eat—you cook every meal and we found some of the supplies to be lacking (a nice set of pots with lids, a glass measuring cup and regular measuring cups for baking, and more than 10 forks!) Also the coffee maker could use an upgrade. For a house that holds a lot of people, that was a tiny coffee maker. But other than these small things, we found the house to be clean, spacious and comfortable—especially that huge leather sectional!!!

The house,dock and location were all great. We caught 6 10 to 15 pound catfish off dock which my grandson loves to do. Would recommend to anyone needing 3 adult bedrooms.

July 2019 – We had a wonderful time staying at this house. We have been renting a place at Lake Gaston for the past seven years and I have to say this was one of the best places we have stayed. There have been other times we had more folks and needed a larger house but for this trip, this was perfect. The open kitchen, dining and family room together made it very nice as we could all be in the same place at the same time and not feel crowed at all. While there was a foosball table, ping pong table and darts in the house, we spend most of our time on the dock. The water was deep enough for all to jump off the top level of the dock. I think that made a huge difference compared to other places we have stayed in the past. Our three year old grand daughter even jumped off by herself many times during the stay (with a life jacket of course!). The kids fished off the dock a few times and caught around a 2 pound catfish! I did not get an opportunity to meet Kim or John at check in but our friends did meet John. They had nothing but good things to say about him. While we did not have any issues with the stay, we did communicate with them to let them know everything was going great. They were very responsive. Overall I would tell anyone that needs a place to sleep 12 or 13 folks, this is the house to rent. If I need a place for this number of folks again, I will definitely be looking to rent this house again. Thanks to Kim and John for sharing their lake home with our family and friends!

This was our second stay at this property. The visit was just as great as the first one. Highly recommend this home for a Great Lake vacation.

Owner definitely has put a lot of thought into setup for lake activities and extras. Nice covered porch w/ plenty of outside tables. Very clean! Great view! Nice yard. Excellent place to stay.
