Face à la mer, directement sur la plage - Prestations Premium Cette charmante maison de vacances en bord de mer se trouve à deux pas des dunes de sable et des vagues, dans le quartier paisible de North Beach sur l’île Amelia. Réveillez-vous pour regarder les vagues depuis le lit maître, avec une vue plongeante sur l'eau. Un pont enveloppant à 180 degrés surplombe les dunes d'herbes marines jusqu'à la côte, à seulement 50 mètres. Les promenades aux pieds nus avant le petit-déjeuner sont faciles avec la promenade en dune devant la maison. La maison est peut-être relativement moderne, mais elle est pleine d’histoire. Dès que vous ouvrirez la porte d'entrée du hublot, vous commencerez à découvrir les reliques d'un vieux navire à l'intérieur. Les panneaux de pin du plaisancier montent à un plafond voûté avec des poutres, récupéré d'une église historique il y a plusieurs décennies. L'ancien modèle de voilier sur la cheminée en pierre à deux étages reflète la vie sur une île-barrière entourée de mers et de rivières, de pierres et de sable. Récemment rénové dans un décor nautique de bon goût, nous avons conservé l'architecture originale tout en ajoutant un mobilier moderne, des appareils ménagers et une nouvelle literie de designer. Maintenant, avec l'accès Internet haute vitesse sans fil, vous pouvez surfer sur le Web et regarder le surf en même temps.

First, the positive - you can't beat the location of this property! The neighborhood is a nice beachfront area, and beach access is available right in front of the house. Unfortunately, the property was somewhat dirty, the only door to the outside porch (besides the front door) had a "Do Not Open" sign on it, which was unfortunate. The biggest issue is the water smelled like sulfur and was a complete turn off for the entire weekend. Showers were unpleasant, and we used bottled water for food cleaning and cooking. This was not disclosed prior to our arrival. Because of it we would not rent this property again.

The view is awesome. The house is well lived in and clean, the yard has a sea turtle nest in the front. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. One thing we weren’t happy with, the third bedroom had no a/c and it was hot.

Rodent droppings in several places, especially in the kids room. I was not comfortable with my son sleeping in that room. Our food was eaten by rodents. The property management refunded one day.

Pros-- The house and property are lovely. The location is fantastic. The living space and deck are both comfortable and cozy. The house is clean...
Cons-- The bunk room doesn't seem to have its own air vent, making it hot to sleep in even when the rest of the house is quite cool. The kitchen cabinets could use some work-- many of them don't close; and according to my brother-in-law-the-cook, only one stove eye was really usable-- a couple of them only worked on high.
We had a fun week hanging out together...

This is an older home, but there was nothing wrong with it. My husband and I stayed with our two adult children and their significant others. We enjoyed our long weekend. Only a small dirt road separated us from the beach. Pathway to the beach was directly in front of the home.

The house was clean and decorated with great beach decor! AC worked well, fans in each room were helpful. Beds were comfy. Wonderful deck to view the ocean. So nice to be able to walk right to the beach in front of the house! However several things need to be addressed. Light bulbs are very dim especially in dining area and bedrooms. Door to deck has a broken lock and was locked with a bicycle lock for which no code was provided, until the property manager was reached by phone. For those guests who want to use the grill, please be aware--- a gas tank is NOT provided (actually there was a tank hooked up with no gas in it). I spoke twice to the property managers and was told we could purchase one at the Circle K! --very disappointing. Never had that happen before. Perhaps the owners might want to rethink that! Overall the house was great location, very peaceful, and comfortable.

Such a quaint house. It was perfect for me, girlfriend and three teenaged kiddos. Beach access couldn't be better. It's 20 yards to the beach access point from the property. The house is a bit older but is quite nice inside. Its round structure makes for incredible views from inside and from the surround deck. For the size of the house, the kitchen is roomy enough for two cooks in the kitchen. The living room is a smidge on the small side but it's not a large house to begin with. All five of us had plenty of space. It's beach walking distance (< 1/2 mile) to two beachside restaurants/bars.

Great vacation stay in fantastic location
We had such a great time on our vacation at this property. It was pretty comfortable for the 8 people that we had (6 adults and 2 kids) though several folks did have to share the room with multiple bunk beds which was a little bit of a squeeze). It has good amenities though there were some aspects of the property that could use a little maintenance (e.g. really wobbly bunk beds etc - all things that should be easy to square away). Great views of the water over the dunes (you can't really see the beach but you can see the water) and the beach access was VERY convenient. It is conveniently located near the grocery store and a short drive to the old town. Would definitely stay again.

Location is the very best
This is a great house in a wonderful location - if you want a 2 minute barefoot stroll to the beach and a wonderful view over the dunes to the ocean. This end of the beach is quiet and just what we wanted. The house itself is comfortable, but looking a little tired. The kitchen is skimpily equipped for such a big house. A refresh is due, I think.

The location was as advertised and amazing. The access and convenience made it a pleasure to spend all day at the beach. Lunch, BR breaks, ect. The house was what I expected. The water was hot and the beds were comfortable. There was no need to contact the property manager. I would update some of the beach stuff- bike/ chairs/ toys... That stuff gets beat up quickly.

The Good:
The location is great. Right across a small street from the beach and within walking distance to the main beach park, skateboard park, restaurant, etc. Easy to access. Easy check in. The deck is nice and there were beach towels and beach chairs provided.
The Frustrating:
It felt like the property had not been updated or maintained. The air conditioner was not working and they made us aware of this only 30 minutes before our check in (they did fix it). Basic items like soap, toilet paper, and trash bags were not stocked, light bulbs were out and some of the beach items like body boards and the bike were all broken and not usable.
The kitchen is okay but if you plan on cooking all your meals during an entire stay it may not meet your needs.
In recap, great location, nice deck but the property itself is in need of some maintenance and attention.

Beautiful views, excellent sunrises, and great star gazing on the new deck!! The home felt and looked the same as when we stayed 18 years ago. A few things need attention over the years as always, but met our expectations! Overall everything worked out and Mark came out and was very helpful, prompt and cordial!!

There is a sandy road between the house and the dunes, nothing else between you and the ocean. If your looking for "the beach experience" this is it.
The house is very well appointed, plenty of incidentals that make for a smooth stay.
We would definitly return .
