the location of this property was exactly what we were looking for, walking distance to ghirardelli square, pier 39, fishermans warf. pats cafe among other close places to eat , walking distance to chinatown, lombard hill, etc. the place had older decor, but was well appointed and clean, including secure entry and a great view of alcatraz

This is our second stay at the property. It is very clean, has nice views, and is in the heart of North Beach. Best place we've found in the neighborhood.

Very easy to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf area, good parking garages close by too. Location has a beautiful view of Alcatraz and bay. Apartment is spacious and clean. Bill was wonderful at communicating and check in and check out was a breeze.

Bill was extremely responsive. This is very clean LARGE penthouse condo on Russian Hill. 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. Spectacular views of Fisherman’s Wharf, SF bay, Alcatraz; fun watching the Alcatraz lighthouse beam circle at night. Shoes off at front door (no chair provided), kitchen was fully outfitted. No icemaker, filled Brita in the fridge, gas Viking stove. Dishwasher and pods, washing machine and laundry soap provided, dryer too. Large screen TV and living room sofa, huge dining room table, WIFI. Bedrooms, your luggage is on the floor, no chest of drawers, chair or luggage rack. Bath towels were provided on the beds, but no face cloths. Bill said face cloths were in the large closet, but I could not locate them. Hand towels were in the bathrooms. TP was plentiful, no Kleenex. PARKING WAS NOT INCLUDED. On street parking was difficult to find, and we saw broken car glass on the street. We parked at the Hilton .8 miles away, parking cost $ 29 / day and Uber was $ 12 one way. Uber to the water front was also $ 12-15 one way. You could walk. Owner does maintain clothing, sporting equipment in the closets. There are notes posted on the walls throughout the home. Neighborhood seemed safe for a city, Traders Joe’s 1 ½ blocks. Check out instructions were to put the towels in the washing machine and run it on Sanitize. This was a little off-putting. I wondered if the prior traveler had followed these directions. I would stay here again for the location & the view.

Overall this is a fantastic place to stay. I would not bring children as there is white carpet. Pictures are a little deceiving; you can not use big tub or fireplaces.

Location is an easy walk to North Beach restaurants and Fisherman's Wharf, etc. Nice kitchen with all the comforts of home. Parking is a bit of a hassle/inconvenience. Had a hard time figuring out the TV. Queen beds would be a nice upgrade. Overall, we had a great time and Bill responded quickly to inquiries.

We are so glad that we chose this place for our vacation stay. Nice quiet location with walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. The home was very clean and well-maintained and very comfortable and spacious. Kudos to the host who was very responsive and accommodating. If the opportunity arises, we will certainly stay here again.

Spacious place with stunning views. Great kitchen that was well stocked. Loved the location. Only small point would be the quality and quantity of the towels. My husband and I shared one washcloth and one hand towel between us.

We had a wonderful stay in San Francisco. Host was very flexible with check-in (especially with flight delays). Communication was very easy with details regarding home and area available. Very clean. Beautiful views, easy walk to different areas of the city. Highly recommend.

Great location with easy walking distance to multiple nearby hot spots & attractions. Accurate description and photos of space. The host is very responsive. However, given the price, would likely consider alternative spots for our next trip since there are very stringent guidelines for how the host wants to keep his space (e.g. signage all over the condo indicating blinds must stay closed, shower needs to be squeegeed after each use despite there being a steep cleaning fee, etc.). Although it was a great location, it was hard to relax in the space with ease given all of the stringent signs and “rules.” Gave 4/5 stars!

Clean, secure, quiet apartment in an excellent location with lots of good restaurants, a Trader Joe's grocery store, and smaller local markets nearby. Photos in listing are accurate. On the top floor of the building with easy elevator access right outside the unit door.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at your delightful penthouse apartment in the city. The Northbeach location was ideal for walking to the best of San Francisco; shows, restaurants, tours. The apartment was large (esp for SF) and well appointed and the bay views were stunning. Bill was very responsive to all of our emails/texts. Will definitely be back again and will recommend to friends and family.

Our family really enjoyed having Bill’s place as a home base! It was perfect for an active long weekend exploring the city. We walked almost everywhere! Amazing choices for getting groceries and provisions for the house nearby. Great guidance from Bill on checking out the neighborhood. We would stay again!

The location was fabulous. Easy to get around the area. Bill was easily accessible for check in. The apartment was very clean… the notes all over the place telling us “not to touch” we’re unnecessary. Also parking was a awful. But overall our stay was wonderful. Thank you for hosting us.

The property had excellent access to everything in the neighborhood the kitchen was well equipped the house was clean they were quite short on towels. The elevator is an experience but it appears to of done the job

Bill was a responsive and helpful host for our stay in N San Fran. This property was located in a safe section of town and easily walkable range of several great food and touristy sections. He had great recommendations for food and made the check-in and check-out process easy. We had a great time.

We stayed in the home for 3nights it was beautiful and had great views. we were not a fan of the 20+ sings around the home telling us what we could not touch or reminders of how to close the blinds, shoes and so on they were tackily done as well and made us feel like he didn't want anyone to stay in his home. check in and check out was odd for me as we were reminded as to when to do so but was also asked what time we will be leaving and arriving, and when I gave him an idea as to when we would leave he said I will be there by 10 to clean which made me feel like we have to be gone before check out no matter what now. Bill was kind and easy to communicate with but it was obvious we had to be mindful he lives here and did not seem to want guests in his home. That said, the property was lacking in certain amenities that one would expect for this price. The master bed was a mattress on the floor, with 2 thin pillows. None of the bedrooms had space to store clothing--there were no dressers or night stands with drawers, and the closets were filled with the owner's belongings. Bathrooms were under stocked--no tissues or wash towels. All windows had curtains, except for the one window directly across from the master bed so sunlight streamed into the room quite early (a folding door between the bedroom and office with the window didn't sufficiently block the light). The televisions are only set up for Netflix, so if you don't subscribe you're out of luck.

We stayed for four nights with our three adult children. Bill the owner was easily contactable and answered any questions we had very quickly. It was a very well equipped apartment with comfy beds and good bathrooms. Would definitely recommend as it is very well located to lots of shops and restaurants.

The apartment was very spacious, with great views of the bay and Alcatraz. Very conveniently located: close to a lot of the major attractions and with plenty of options for dinner, and yet very quiet at night. Kitchen had plenty of appliances and cooking ware for in-house cooking. Communicating with the owner was very easy. We had a fantastic time and will totally consider staying in the same property for future trips.

This is a well-located property. We enjoyed the easy access to restaurants and sights.
