The property was a dream to stay at for our family. The kitchen is large and well stocked and the view gave us such peace. Would highly recommend for all.

The house was perfect for our large group. The view was great. We spent alot of time on the upper deck. The location was good. There were plenty of amenities. The owner was easy to communicate with. There were some things that needed attention.

Our family meets with college friends and their family every year. We look for places to stay with lots of communal space to enjoy each other and great locations to quickly enjoy the area. This place ticked both boxes. I’d recommend this place.

This is our second stay, we love the view from the deck. Very cozy home with plenty of space for larger groups. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking in. Would definitely recommend to any large groups looking to stay in the area!

Best house for ten adults. Three floors, quiet, well insulated, beautiful views, nice decor, expansive deck, nice den and living room. Kitchen is well stocked, not mixing a thing but the wall ovens need to be checked out, one was not operational. The location of this property is breathtaking and whether it is raining or the fog rolling in and the tide on its way out, you will love this place.

The house was even nicer than it looked in the pictures. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our group of 10, plus the view from the deck out over the water is pretty unbeatable. Great location in a quiet area with easy access to downtown Freeport area and just 20 minutes from Portland. Would highly recommend!

Very spacious home, well appointed in so many ways...cooking, entertaining, bedrooms, outside porch amazing. My husband &I came up to stay to see how it will work for our friends arriving for my daughter's wedding in August and we had our taste testing in Freeport for the wedding! Fun 2 days... My only wish would be to have the fireplace cleaned out and a top to bottom dusting done...Guessing in the summer with open windows, and beautiful sea breeze those concerns won't be there!

Every year our group of 6 friends gathers for a weekend away. This home was perfect for our group- the spaciousness, cleanliness and overall welcoming atmosphere was just what we all hoped for! Definitely will return!

Wonderful house in a fantastic spot. Everything about this home is amazing- space, views, art, libraries, and (best of all for a Thanksgiving stay) a cook’s kitchen equipped with everything imaginable for preparing a big TG feast. A delightful experience.

Great location.

My family was in town for a wedding, and this house was perfect for our group. The house is beautiful; the pictures don't do it justice. It is airy and cozy at the same time. Beautiful high ceilings and lots of light. The basement level had two bedrooms and a bathroom, so I was able to sleep near my small children while keeping their noise away from family members on the second floor. We appreciated that there was a bathroom on each floor, and that the kitchen was well-equipped. There are TONS of books throughout the house, and a few board games that my kids enjoyed. The view of the river is gorgeous, and the porch is the perfect place to drink coffee and watch the sun come up. The house was super clean, though I wish unscented detergent had been used on the bedding and towels. I have a sensitivity to fragrances and the scent clings to one's hair all day. One member of my party has an outright allergy to fragrances and brings her own sheets wherever she goes, so she had to make up her own bed on arrival, but of course the scent lingered on the mattress regardless. I also wish there were black-out blinds in the bedrooms, many of which face east. The blinds in the basement don't even go all the way down. However, I would not hesitate to stay in this house again if I needed to be in the area again. It's that lovely.

The Green House was perfect for our Ladies Retreat! There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to be together for group conversations, and also for smaller groups to break off for more personal time. This home is beautifully appointed yet comfortable and cozy! We will be back!

Lovely place for a weekend getaway! Wish we could have stayed longer.

This home lives up to and exceeds expectations. It has a very spacious and well designed floor plan that allows groups to gather comfortably in the kitchen or family area. There is no TV in the main room which promotes conversation or simply sitting at the table doing a puzzle. The TV room is just off the kitchen and has a couple of comfy sofas to watch TV, but we were so busy cooking and talking we didn’t take advantage of that space. Thanks to Anne and family for another memorable week in Maine!

I've always wanted to go to Maine and when I found this property, I immediately booked it. We were NOT disappointed. The location is beautiful, the layout of the house is great for 10 people, bathrooms on each floor, the kitchen was fully stocked with items even I wouldn't consider, easy access to highway, close location to grocery store and gas station, close parking, plenty of towels/cleaning products to use, and a fireplace! Thank you so much for welcoming us to your home and we will DEFINITELY be back.

This is the 2nd year we have rented this home for our annual girls weekend. (10 women). Weather was a little chilly which let us enjoy a fire in the large fireplace. This property is perfect for a large group. KG

This is a beautiful property. My girlfriends and I rented for the weekend to celebrate a bachelorette. We wish we got to spend more time in this home vs being out and about. 2 nights was not enough. The view was also spectacular.

This was our second visit to Grnhouse in South Freeport, having been there in 2019. We would have returned sooner but that thing called a pandemic kept us from traveling for a couple of years. The house fits our (8 adults, 2 children) needs perfectly. It had everything we needed. It was rather warm the first couple of days but there were plenty of fans to cool things off. And the location is superb with beautiful water views and easy access to Freeport. It’s also within easy driving distance to Portland, Brunswick, Bath, Boothbay Harbor and even Camden. Can’t say enough good things about it.

We’ve been coming to this property for the last 2 years and every time we arrive, it feels like home again. It’s amazing to gather a group for dinner on the patio and take in the breathtaking view or to sit peacefully on the dock. Tons of places to sleep and beautiful rooms overlooking the water. Nicely accommodates two families with plenty of room. We’ll be back again next year!

Sweeping views of the Harraseeket River. Tastefully appointed and plenty of room. A fully equipped kitchen and then some. Lots of places to eat and sit on the wide porch overlooking the water. Comfortable bedrooms for 11. A working fireplace and firepit with a large supply of seasoned wood. Dimmers on the lights. Oriental rugs. Books and more books. And Anne and Shannon were a pleasure to deal with. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer.

We rented for our daughter’s college graduation. It is a great house for a large group, in a fantastic location. We are headed back!
