Location was great, house was comfortable. A couple things I’d hope get corrected, for future guests…no screen door onto side porch, holes in two screens in house, bugs coming in was an issue.bathroom fan is unusable with the amount of noise and rattling, bathroom window does not open, so no ventilation whatsoever . Patio umbrella is broken, light on deck was out, takes a special led bulb, did not want to look for one at the store, was dark out the side door at night. Bring lobster crackers if you are going to cook lobster, kitchen hand towels as well. Again, that list was just a heads up, we enjoyed our stay, location was perfect, 5 minute walk to the beach is accurate and very convenient. I would most definitely stay again.

The house was very well-maintained and clean. The location was perfect for the weekend! My only complaint was the utensils pans and silverware. There was no usable pans for cooking breakfast. The only large pan was so old and used that the eggs stuck to the pan. Only 4 matching plates and usually the places we have stayed at had staples such as sugar but none was found.

House is in a great location, about a 5 minute walk to Roger Wheeler State Beach. Good size for 4-6 people to comfortably stay. We are a family of four (my wife and I and two teenaged boys). We usually stay closer to Scarborough beach, but wanted to take our dog along this year. The neighborhood is great, a perfect place for families with younger kids. The only complaint we had was that much of the dishware/cookware was not as clean as it should have been. We contacted the owner, who responded quickly to make things right. Overall a nice house with a nice open kitchen and living area.

We stayed for Labor Day weekend. The house was the perfect fit for a girls’ weekend with the kids. The walking distance to the beach is only five minutes exactly and the wagon that is provided was super helpful, The backyard is private and is equipped with a comfortable sitting area with a fire pit, which we used every night. The outdoor shower was a huge help since the house has one bathroom. We hope to rebook next year. Thank you.

This place was great and exactly what we were looking for. Relaxing, great neighborhood with great local food, and several pretty beaches all within either walking or short driving distance. We made good use out of the grill for some BBQ dinners and the back yard was perfect for our dog!

House is small for the price but lovely area very safe , beaches are beautiful and close . It was a good vacation spot for a weekend .

The location is perfect - lovely neighborhood for walks, Roger Wheeler beach right near by (others a short drive), near lots of great restaurants and shops. The house itself was completely adequate space-wise for all of us. The backyard is lovely with a nice deck.

Great spot close to the beach! We had a great time on our first little getaway with our one year old. We made great use of the private backyard and fire pit. The little wagon and beach chairs came in very handy and we were surprised to find some cool toys for the beach for the little guy in the shed. We had everything we needed at the house and the quick trip to the beach was awesome!

Very good stay. Renters were very attentive to any issues. Would recommend

Clean and cozy property, and seven of us fit pretty snugly. Cory and Kristyn-Ann were responsive and thoughtful - they left us a nice bottle of wine and personal note. Great place to stay and enjoy a relaxing weekend in RI and in very short distance of Block Island Ferry.

Clean , tidy, super nice responsive owners. The place is roomier then it looks. Great deck and outdoor gas grill. The washer dryer and updated kitchen with nice applainces and dish washer was very nice and noted! Would come back for sure! Love this area and this quite home!

Was a cute small place walking distance to the beach which was nice and owners were nice but would not go again or recommend. The place was dirty including dishes, pots and pans. The tv would not let us play a movie as well. The pictures for the picnic table shown were not right. The tables were broken and had a huge hole, and the slider was broken. Then we had the fridge and freezer stopped working twice and we lost food, which was annoying. And the dishwasher flooded. So a lot of our time was wasted. Although they gave us was nice but still inconvenience.offered to give us a discount for next time but I wouldn't stay again. Would rather have some of my money back. Definitely needs some cleaning and care into it.

We really enjoyed the home - the quick walk to Roger Wheeler Beach (perfect beach for us with our 14 month old) was the best part. Home was clean, and cool with the AC unit and fans. Yard and deck was nice to hang out in the evenings. Would recommend!

We have heard only good reviews from our friends who have used HomeAway, and we looked forward to this rental. We did indeed love its closeness to beaches and restaurants. This home, however, has not been cared for. Our first impressions were an unloved house. Start with the deck with peeling paint and the picnic table rotted through in the middle. Continue through the broken screen door (fixed after a week), the toaster oven with an inch of inside grime (replaced the middle of the week). Then look at the dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, the stove glass top with burn rings on each burner, and the broken crank on the bathroom window. The beds were the final touch of neglect: I have not slept on such an uncomfortable bed since YMCA camp. (We left the egg crate foam mattress topper we bought for the next person.) We talked with others and verified that the rent was market rate; not the cheap rate the house should have commanded.

Fun and relaxing.

Location is great to enjoy the beach and explore the area. Provides opportunity to explore Newport as well. Great if you want an easy laid back beach vacation. The place is functional and nice and the hosts are generous to provide beach chairs and wagon. They also were kind enough to provide us with privacy, which is much appreciated when renting. The only reason I didn't select 5 stars is that I believe the bathroom and bedrooms should be updated to provide greater comfort. But overall the house was adequate, we had a great time and my kids were happy, so it's a win!

Cute summer cottage! Was able to bring my dog which is definite plus! Would book again!
