This property is on a lovely section of Beaver Lake. The photos accurately represent the decor - it is full of many family items, but a very comfortable home to stay in. The downstairs level is a complete apartment that has less decor - the upstairs is full of fun touches that show the family. The upstairs kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and dishes. We didn't use the downstairs one, so cannot speak to it. The grounds are steep and wooded, so we were able to enjoy wildlife in the mornings and evenings. Be prepared to live out of your suitcase - there was not room to store items, but the upstairs bathroom had plenty of counter top space for our use. This has been noted in prior reviews so wasn't a surprise to us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We have rented several houses off of VRBO and never had any issues. Let me start off by saying when you rent a house you don’t want to see the owner and their family on every wall in the vacation rental. The owner has a very well stocked kitchen with lots of kitchen aid. That was nice however every single drawer is crammed full. I for got to mention the Pantry is locked crammed full of the homeowners food. There are 3 bedrooms and the house would sleep 12. The basement smelled musty. The master bedroom has a large king size bed that is older. When you get in you get stuck. Or when your spouse gets out you go flying. Lol. The house was very dusty. There are books everywhere. And plenty of videos. If you like roosters and chickens and a collection of planters peanuts. The outside side needs some TLC. The front door had leaves and mud and dirt and the windows were dirty. Staging your home is good to do you tell your guests that you care about them. There is no closet space. So plan on living out of a suitcase. Every closet in the master is full but locked with the owners stuff. There drawers in the bed full of underwear. Who wants to look at someone else’s underwear on vacation. Every drawer is full of the homeowners belongings. The medicine cabinet was also full of the homeowners belongings. The kitchen you have no where to put dry goods. The outside needs work. The trail to the dock is need of some work. The trail was rough. The ceiling fans are about to fall. There is no adequate lighting and my husband was fell causing him an injury and having to to have stitches.. Be careful when considering this property. For what we payed for this property we could have rented a house in Hawaii.

Stayed here June of 2015. Everything was pretty much as listed. House was clean, large and served it's purpose. The boat dock was wonderful. The view from the dock in the morning and evening is breath taking. The trip to and from is a little "testy" but I'm 55 and made it fine. Really enjoyed the seclusion and the location. Fire pit was a big plus. If there was one draw back for me was the upkeep of the exterior and down stairs deck. The landscaping hasn't been attended to in quite some time. When arriving, there was 2 inches of mud in front of the entrance. I'll admit it had been raining a lot but it seems something could be done to keep the entrance mud free. There is an assortment of "stuff" surrounding the property that kind of takes away from the beauty of the home. The downstairs deck was moldy and dirty and the furniture was green. I don't think it would take much to get it back in shape it was just the one thing that didn't match the photos. Over all my family and I had a great time and would stay here again!

We have stayed at several VRBO's and have been mostly pleased. This place is in a great location for seclusion. The check in at the rental office was simple with lots of free advice from the realtor. One was DO NOT take your boat or trailer to the house. It is a one lane road, very narrow and no place to turn a trailer around! They provide trailer parking at the rental office after dropping your boat in the water. Some what of a hassle, but no big deal. Check out the photo of the 'winter scene' which shows a view from the deck to the boat dock. GREAT boat dock slip but not an easy walk. If you are 'older', physically handicapped in any way, or not in fairly good shape, this is a very tough walk back up to the house with loose rocks and gravel and a STEEP incline, especially hauling coolers! You can tell the owner uses a 4-wheeler to make this journey and I can understand not leaving it for renters to use, but this should be clearly explained in the description. The upstairs kitchen is the most overstocked utensil kitchen I have ever seen. Drawers and cabinets are crammed full so no room to put your own items. We also have never seen so many family photos in a VRBO house before...kinda odd. Upon our arrival on Tuesday, we found the door knob/lock to patio broken and hot tub not working. We called the realtor and the owner finally arrived on Friday to fix them. Not too pleased with that. We are boaters and spent a lot of time on the water. If you have never been to Beaver Lake before, it is amazing. Clearest water aside from the ocean we have ever boated! We will definitely be back to Beaver Lake but we will find a more convenient location to stay next time.

Overall the house was very large and clean. The lake is perfect at this end. Concerns were the long steep walk to the lake. We had one of the wifes fall and get stitches. We all are middle age with kids and in pretty good shape. We commented that if you were in not such good shape or a little older the walk would be a real issue. The house feels very lived in and had many many personal items from the owners. We usually bring food to feed 8 or so for a week and their was not much space to put stuff. Last complaint is no propain for Gas grill. I realize the write up states "Charcoal Grill Available" but we didnt see that level of detail until after we got there. It would have been nice in the info sheet they provide prior to you arriving gives you a reminder to bring your own Charcoal. At the $$ they charge a week we feel they should have provided propain for the grill. Dock was nice, the large basement was great for the kids. Was surpised to see someone still had a waterbed. Other beds were stiff. Decor is a bit odd, but again clean and large. If the walk to the water was not so treturous we would probably return. It appears the owner uses a motorized vehical to get to and from the water. This would have been VERY helpful!
