The Garroch is as remote as it gets and that's what we wanted. So quiet, so peaceful, it was a lovely two night stay and was a great place to relax towards the end of our trip around the NC500. John and Kay are lovely hosts, couldn't do enough for us and just made the stay relaxing. Comfortable room, decent shower, great breakfast. Tip for the area. If you're after a local evening meal then you have two pubs and only at Tighe Eilean/Munro's Bar can you book a table. Book in advance. The food was great, the atmosphere lovely.

Absolute amazing hosts! We enjoyed our stay very much and absolutely recommend it. Our room was very nice decorated with a passionate dedication to detail. Very delicious breakfast.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable and the breakfast was great , lots of selection. All done by the lady of the house who was really nice.

When we arrived we were told to take our shoes off without being offered a slipper to wear. The man of the house was rude and passive aggressive , he spoilt our 2 night stay so only stayed one night . We were tired on the first night and wanted to rest but were told by him we had to pay immediately instead of waiting for the morning. We were made to feel like intruders rather than paying guests, there was no where to sit and chill even though we were told by him we could use the kitchen but when we got back after an early evening meal the Kitchen was being occupied by others so we retreated to the bedrooms.

Very peaceful location and beautifully decorated rooms. John and Kay are so lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We felt like personal guests . The owners were very friendly and gave us special tips and Informations about hiking tours. Breakfast extraordinary and Individual. The room was decorated lovingly.

Kay& John are perfect host, very friendly and helpful. Room cleanliness is immaculate and room amenities are competing with 5*hotels. Breakfast selection also amazing, top quality ingredients. Can't wait to go back!

Very friendly, welcoming hosts. Good food. Attractive, comfortable accommodation. Liked the extra sitting area in our bedroom.

Only criticism was that they had not been able to source gluten free bread, although I appreciate that this is difficult with small local shops on an island. After we had left we called in at the visitor centre just outside Portree and found that, unexpectedly, it contained a shop with gluten free products. So they could get a couple of loaves there to put in the freezer for future use.

The whole experience was epic. I can't find anything negative about it, except the weather and no one can do anything about it.

Superb breakfast,idyllic location

Would have preferred en suite but had a !lovely private bathroom across the landing.Although had to share seating at one table with another couple it was no problem but a little unusual in these strange times with covid.

John and Kay were absolutely brilliant, our room was beautiful and clean; the breakfasts were great and John and Kay were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

The owners made us feel very welcome and we are rested , refreshed , relaxed and recharged. The owners have thought of all the wee extras which made our stay so comfortable.

My wife and I decided on a spur of the moment to get away for a few days we booked Garroch house for 4 nights, John and Kay were the perfect hosts from the moment we arrived, john was a wealth of information about the island. Breakfast was superb and we had a good old natter (Scottish for talking) during breakfast, we have been on the island before and made our own plans but John and Kay gave us some good tips as to where to go and places on interest to see, we hope to get back soon and Garroch house will be the first place to check for vacancies

The house is located in Fiskavaig, nearly at the end of a single track road. Exactly what I was looking for, remote and a very nice place to stay, overlooking the bay to MacLeod's table. Kay and John are exceptionally great hosts. They took good care of me. We had long conversations and all was absolutely fantastic. The house is very new, so all is in great conditions. I really loved my stay there. They have a 9.5 rating and they fully deserve it.

John and Kay are super friendly and very helpful. The room was extremely clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great with a wide variety and an excellent full english if you need substenance for the day's walking !!!

John and Kay were very friendly and clearly enjoyed having guests to stay. They had lots of useful info on places to see. The room was exceptional - I didn't know we'd get a bedroom with separate lounge area. The private bathroom was across the hall (about 3 paces away) but they provided dressing gowns and slippers. All bedding and towels were top quality Egyptian cotton, which was lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean. WiFi was excellent and they thoughtfully supplied a 4 way USB charging hub beside the bed, which was handy. There were 2 dogs but they were always under control and well supervised by John.

Due to the location there was no mobile phone reception at the property. We used messenger so it wasn't a problem. Most local restaurant recommend booking so remember to book ahead.

Great little B&B run by a lovely couple. No complaints whatsoever.
