This property was wonderful for our long weekend getaway! We were able to kayak on the lake and travel into Bar Harbor for more adventures. Very clean and spacious! Highly recommend!

Loved staying at this house in Otis, ME. The house had everything we needed. We even used the fireplace and fire pit as it started to get cold. We were close enough to bar harbor and Acadia to visit but able to come back to the house to enjoy it and the lake.

We had a wonderful vacation, enjoying the quiet clear water at the lake house. The house was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening using the gas fire pit. A liquid measuring cup would be useful. My 84 year old mother enjoyed relaxing, reading, and doing puzzles. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

This property had everything we hoped for. There are three bedrooms and a large bathroom on the top floor, and each bedroom is set up with its own flat screen TV. The bathroom easily accommodates everyone. In the basement there is a "suite", consisting of a large bedroom with closet and wardrobe, a full size refrigerator/freezer, a sink and counter top, plus a large flat screen TV. The attached bathroom is large enough for a couple, and there is a separate entrance to the back yard. The living room and dining room are nicely furnished, plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There is a large deck off of the living room, with a gas grill, and a fire pit run with propane. The backyard is large, grassy, with several shade trees, a hammock and kayak. There is a large wood fire pit right by the lake, with six Adirondack chairs. It was lovely! There are two entries/access points to the lake. One is an aluminum ramp and dock area and the other is a set of three steps down into the water. The lake is clear and inviting.
Contact with the property owner was easy, and response was very fast. The Otis General Store is close, and the people that work there are friendly and very accommodating. They make great burgers, pizza and other yummy items to order. We loved it!
My husband, daughter and son-in-law enjoyed the quiet, and sitting by the fire pit (either on the balcony or by the lake) made it really special. We all had a great week.

We had the best time relaxing and playing in the lake. Beech Hill pond is a beautiful clear lake. The kids loved the aqua lily pad float and we made use of the boats. Loved sitting on the deck under the awning with my coffee and wine. There was plenty of space for our two families.

Loved the morning coffee and nighttime drinks around the fire by the water and on the deck! Took us awhile to figure out the heating/ cooling system - suggest directions to use. And would have been nice to have towel racks in bathrooms
Overall very nice peaceful home

Jason's place was right on Beech Hill Pond with a large backyard, plenty of parking, two grills and a firepit. We woke up to beautiful fall sunsets. The 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, large kitchen and downstairs studio area allowed 10 of us to have plenty of comfortable space and amenities.

This is a great house on a lovely quiet lake. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of life and reconnecting. Being able to use the canoe and kayak were such a nice bonus. We spent a couple nights at the fire pit listening to the quiet and gazing up at the stars. It was all a welcome reset. We did venture out to Acadia and spent the day there. It was well worth the 45 min drive. We cooked at the house for most meals and the kitchen has the tools for that. I recommend stocking up on groceries at Sam’s Club on the way in. We had good internet but could not get cell reception which was totally fine with us but just as an FYI.

We loved this property - lovely house, beautiful yard and waterfront and perfect for our family and dog. Our weather was unfortunately very rainy but the sunny days were award winning! We went into Bar Harbor and Acadia and also took the plunge to drive to Campobello Island and made the trek at low tide to the lighthouse = that was quite the amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Spacious home and property with plenty of room for two rambunctious grandchildren and their large dog. Our host was extremely responsive to questions and requests. Rented additional kayaks for the week. The week’s highlight was a pontoon tour of the lake and the kids were invited to drive. Don’t miss the rock! (Only one of us opted out of the jump 🙄)

Great house, lawn, dock, and lake. We relaxed, made fires, kayaked to a jumping rock, fished, tubes on the lake and enjoyed our relaxing stay thoroughly!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very comfortable with everything you need. The property is great and the back deck is awesome, we really enjoyed spending time there taking in the view and enjoying the cool morning and evening air. Location offers the opportunity for an easy day trip to Acadia.

Tranquil Location
The house is located near the end of a long wood road at the end of Beech Hill Pond. When I think of ponds, I think of a fairly small body of water. This was not small by any means. The water was clear, perfect for swimming, and the pond offered some great fishing opportunities. There were 9 of us, 7 adults and 2 children, along with our dogs. The house offered enough space for all of us to gather comfortably. It was very clean and had most everything one would need. The location was very quiet. The yard was private and large with plenty of area to play games and throw a ball for the dogs. The kids enjoyed the small beach area where they could walk into the water to swim. The kitchen could use some new pans and additional bakeware, but we got by with what was available. The cons of which there are few is that we would have loved to have had a screened in porch where we could gather in the evening and be free of the mosquitos; access from the deck to the back yard would be a big plus; and it would have been nice to have had an additional air conditioner in the lower level for those who slept there. All in all, though, it was a great place to relax and unwind. I would recommend it.

Very nice property
We all enjoyed the house, yard and lake. The house is large enough for 12 people. There was everything there that we needed for the week. Just had to go grocery shopping about 25 minutes away. We also had daily visits from some ducklings and their mother coming up into the yard which everyone enjoyed. I’d recommend the property to anyone looking to relax , fish, swim

Amazing family trip
We loved our stay at this house so much. Absolutely gorgeous lakeside setting, very quiet and relaxing. The house is nice and updated, perfect for two families with kids. About an hour to Acadia, close enough but far enough to be away from the busyness. Jason was very helpful and responsive to questions.

A family group of us traveled a long way to get to our beloved Maine for peace, rest, and relaxation on the water. The house, backyard and waterfront were nice, but that plan for serenity was immediately shattered the moment we arrived at the house by both the extreme lack of cleanliness inside some rooms of the house and by the neighbor to the left.
Instead of peace and quiet, we saw to the left what is essentially a machine shop, and on the back of that property a backhoe/front loader, among other equipment. We then heard a loud grinding sound and saw the neighbor working on a new patio until 9PM that first night. Many of our 14 days were marred by extremely loud industrial-level noise coming from the property, including extensive front loader noise on the property line right outside our front door.
Disturbingly, the house had not been cleaned properly. (See the photos). We found flea feces, flea eggs and gobs of black dog hair, and had to completely clean the house ourselves. The bedclothes in the master bedroom were soiled with dog hair and what appeared to be blood. The rugs in the living and dining rooms were covered with dog hair.
To be fair, the owner later offered to have his cleaner return and attempt to "re-clean" the house to give her a chance to fix her “mistake”, but we declined because we had already cleaned the house and because we had no interest in participating in the retraining program he was planning for his cleaner.
We complained to the owner about both problems and he responded with “go talk to the neighbor” and “can you wash the bedclothes?” When the owner finally came by on day 10 to fix what was indeed spotty internet, we asked for reasonable compensation, including waving of the cleaning fee. His only offers were that we could leave the house and not pay for the last 4 days, or if we stayed, he would let us use his boat.
We ended up getting ZERO compensation from the owner. If your idea of a vacation is to be in a soiled house next to a combination machine shop/lumber yard, and deal with an owner who is all talk and very little action, this house is for you.

Our family had a fabulous time at the property! It was beautiful and spacious for 6 adults and one dog. It is about an hour from Acadia which was fine. It was nice to be on the lake and away from it all. I would suggest printing out the wifi password and any other instructions. I did not and we struggled with that initially.

This was a lovely 4 bedroom lakeside home. So clean and up to date and so nice and quiet. The gas firepit on the deck was a welcome site on a cloudy day. Easy rental and easy check in.

Great Place to stay in Maine
We really enjoyed our week at this house on Beech Hill Pond. The large yard was great for games. The steps into the water was great for kayaking, swimming and the dogs. The pond was warm and crystal clear. Everything about the house was great. Enjoyed the fire pit a lot. Close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor for day trips. Jason was a great host.

We had a great vacation at this house. The big lawn was a hit with the kids for playing frisbee. The fire pit by the lake is perfect for making s’mores. We really enjoyed the pond - we saw a ton of loons and appreciated the crystal clear water. Our whole group made several trips out to the big jumping rock and both the kids and grownups had fun jumping off into the water. We enjoyed using the kayak and the canoe. The house was clean and comfortably fit our group of 8. The only issue we had was with the internet - it was spotty and did not work consistently, which also made it difficult to use the TV.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children had a great two weeks staying at the pond. Plenty of room for all of us, we utilized the air mattress for two of the kids( a bunk bed in one of the bedrooms would have made it perfect)We've stayed in the area before so spent most of our time enjoying the lake and searching out places we haven't seen. Acadia isn't far, Fort Knox was fun for the kids and there are lots of not too difficult hiking trails. The house was very clean and stocked with all we needed, We especially appreciated hard floors, much easier to keep clean with kids and dog. A large deck with an awning , nice when it rained. We will definitely consider a return visit.

This home was clean and on the most beautiful lake. We absolutely loved the backyard and rented Jason’s boat for the week which made it such a blast! Jason was so great with communicating with us. We did not realize how far it was from town or Acadia/Bar Harbor. That was the only downfall to the property. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this property.

We traveled 12hrs to spend a week at this lake side property. It was exactly as advertised. Beautiful location in a remote setting. The lake was crystal clear. The kids had a blast swimming and jumping off the dock. It's off the beaten path (which we wanted) but 20 mins gets you to major stores. We traveled frequently to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was 45min- 1hr away. We had a couple of questions for the host, he was very responsive and helpful. We hope to return to this property in the future!
