Notre cottage est un chalet confortable qui a été récemment rénové avec toutes les commodités dont vous avez besoin pour votre visite à Highlands. Notre tanière dispose d'un foyer au bois avec un démarreur à gaz. Notre chambre donne sur le magnifique lac Mirror avec une vue à couper le souffle. Notre cuisine a une cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, cafetière, service de porcelaine pour 6 et service de couverts. Notre chalet est également livré avec une laveuse / sécheuse. Téléviseurs à écran plat sont situés dans la tanière et la chambre à coucher avec un service de câble. Le Wifi est également dans la maison, vous pouvez donc rester branché si vous le souhaitez. Notre chalet a une belle terrasse située sur le côté de la maison avec barbecue à gaz, terrasse et une petite table. Notre pont a une vue magnifique sur le lac Mirror. Tout cela et à seulement un mile de la rue principale!

We love Highlands, and this location was perfect. Close enough to town, but distant enough to get away from the crowds. It's a bit worn inside, but that lends to the woodsy mountainy vibe we were looking for. Would stay again!

We loved our time here in this property! Very clean, comfortable bed, stocked with all the amenities you would need. It felt like a cozy cabin with gorgeous trees surrounding, yet close to everything.
The view from the bedroom overlooking the lake is beautiful. This cottage is perfect for a couple or someone solo. We were visiting Highlands when the temperatures dropped and the heat worked great in the cottage. The location is fantastic, about a 3 minute drive to the main streets. We would recommend this rental to anyone looking in the area for a nice, cozy, and convenient place to stay!

Used the cottage as a base to go waterfall chasing for our 45th anniversary. We lucked out that it also happened to be near prime leaf peeping while we we there. The cottage is charming and rustic, and less than 5 min to the town of Highlands. There are many good restaurants, shops and activities to do in the area. The cottage has a comfortable queen sized bed, Tv, wifi, and a fully equipped kitchen. If needed, there is a washer and dryer. The back of the cottage sits directly on Mirror Lake by the dam. Despite being close to the road, it is very quiet, and convenient to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again.

This is a fabulous little home only 1.2 miles from downtown Highlands. It was easy to find and easy to commute to downtown. The cabin was clean and fully stocked.

Clean, comfortable, and well equipped. It worked! I wish the property was truly walkable into town, however, it’s not worth risking your life walking on that narrow, busy road with no sidewalk. Yet it is just a few minutes drive into Highlands, A special note should be made that the bed is only a full which is quite a bit smaller than the king or queen many are used to.

Great weekend getaway for my wife and me. This was our first trip to Highlands and Mirror Lake was the perfect place—peaceful, plenty of room, everything we needed, and really close to the village and hiking spots. We look forward to being back soon.

We drove 3.5 hours only to open the door to a dirty uncleared unprepared cottage. Dirty dishes, diapers, pots on the stove, bed messed up, not vacuumed etc. We reached out to the property manager with no luck so we left and drove 3.5 hours back home. We contacted VRBO and finally the manager and are hoping to get a refund. However we lost a vacation and drove 7 hours for absolutely nothing.

Perfect!
We were in Highlands for a wedding and this was the perfect location for all the events. The property was the right size for us and a very comfortable stay. Thanks also to the property mgr for bringing us an iron and ironing board when we asked if one was on the property! Very accommodating!

Great location, but some safety concerns
The location being close to town, yet convenient for venturing out into the mountains was ideal. We found the cabin to be very nice for the two of us, with comfy furniture, nice bed and everything we needed for our stay.
I do, however, have some suggestions, some of which have been mentioned by others. First of all is the fireplace. After turning on the gas starter, I found there was no gas. Even if it was working, I would have reservations about using it, as there was no operating instructions. This could be very dangerous if not used properly. Since the fireplace has gas access, I would suggest installing gas logs instead of a gas wood starter. There are other safety concerns as well; it was stated that a fire extinguisher is under the kitchen cabinet, but the only one was it the corner of the living room in an unopened box. We also noticed that there are no smoke nor carbon monoxide detectors in the cabin. It may be worth mentioning that a yellow tape on the step up to the kitchen may prevent someone from falling. Just a suggestion.
I'm not sure why the bathroom door is glass with a bamboo shade which hinders privacy. Not a big deal, but I find it unusual. Also I don't know why the side living room door has been fixed to not open.
Even with these concerns, we find it overall to be a nice place for the two of us, and will consider returning next spring.
