The owner accused me of taking two old, stiff towels and claims I should pay additional 20 Euros. This is a scam. STAY AWAY.
Check-in was very difficult, the keys were not where it was supposed to be, according to information on Booking, I had to contact the owner over WhatsApp and send photo of my ID. The owner doesn’t speak English and responds in Italian. The apartment is old. The neighbourhood is quite dirty and smelly - not the best part of Livorno. It’s ok only if you stay to get on a ferry next day.

Very close to the port. We just stayed for one night to be able to get on the ferry to Corsica in the morning. Very clean and nice apartment. Staff is very responsive and heppy to help on different matters like parking, shops, etc.
The city had narrow one way streets and it is stressfull at times to get around the city. Parking is difficult as well. However, I guess most cities in Italy have the same problem. ;)

Once found the property was very comfortable. However, it would have been helpful to have detailed directions to the property since its street did not display on a map I was given and verbal directions by locals were confusing. Once told how to find Conad, it was easy to find the property since it sits at the end of that street.
It would also have been helpful to have even a one-page orientation to the apartment and neighborhood. Providing a Livorno map would be an excellent addition.
