The property was beautiful and spacious. There were 9 of us and our dogs. We enjoyed having our own bathroom. We did have a little trouble with the oven, but the owners quickly responded and saved the day (or at least our dinner!) The upstairs loft went unutilized, but next time we come, I think I'll bring a folding table so we can work on our annual puzzle there. Perfect location for skiing at Palisades and walking the Lake Tahoe trail (we even made it as far as the Gnome trail) . Plenty of parking (we had 4 vehicles), but you will need chains/4wd if it's snowy/icy. No garage access. Bring your own firewood.

I hosted a girls trip, and it was a hit! The house is huge. It's not super updated, but you can tell it was state of the art when it was built. We stayed in June but the heated bathrooms would've been awesome for a winter vacation. The house is right around the corner from a cool restaurant and little public beach. We saw a bear every day we were there. There is a resident "teenager" bear that we were told is very interested in food but was harmless, so keep your wits about you regardless of where you end up in Tahoe. The house itself is spacious and has a huge patio. Maybe the best feature was how many bathrooms are in the house. Three of the bedrooms had private bathrooms so the two others weren't private but hardly had to be shared with anyone else. The only issue we had was that the stove/oven stopped working, but we just used the grill instead so it wasn't a big deal. Highly recommend staying here!

We were in town for a wedding. We stayed with another family and their adult children and spouses. Great size for a big group. Everyone had their own space. 5 bathrooms was a plus. Great location in a quiet neighborhood.

This cabin was so comfortable! There were 10 family members gathering to celebrate our nephew's wedding and we all had space to escape to nap, to read, or to use our cell phones. The large deck and great room were perfect for reminiscing about the past and future.

Last weekend, our family enjoyed a Destination Wedding event in the Homewood area. The property turned out to be a perfect location for hiking, sight seeing, and picnicking. The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, it is very spacious and comfortable. The outside deck is surrounded by beautiful pines with Lake Tahoe just beyond the tree line. Another added plus was the paved driveway that was able to accommodate all of the vehicles for our guests. The wall of windows in the home allows natural light to shine through in every room. There are two living spaces for groups to gather to watch TV, play board or card games, or just to hang out. Our group saw three bears during our stay, one black bear circled the property so now we understand the need for the bear deterrence, but we enjoyed watching him from the inside of the home. Lake Tahoe is absolutely gorgeous and this property is just a short walk to the shore of Chambers Landing.

The property is ideally located for visiting Lake Tahoe region, spend a day or two skiing/snowboarding at Homewood resort nearby.
The only few negative point of this property is that the driveway is uphill. We have rented multiple vacation rentals in Lake Tahoe in similar weather conditions and have always received great help from the hosts who would generally shovel snow off the driveway prior to us arriving. It wasn't the case this time: spending 2h - 3h shoveling snow/ice off the driveway wasn't necessarily in our plans for the evening of our arrival, in 35F temperatures.
In addition: there was no body wash/soap in any of the bathrooms. I believe I have never seen this in any vacation rental property, ever. Again, not great especially in a town where most stores close at 6pm during Winter.

We saw 5 bears the first night and we were extremely thrilled. Sad we didn't see anymore the rest of the nights. The outdoor views were beautiful. The home was very accommodating. We loved staying there. Great memories were made.

Parts of the house are in disrepair. It looked like the floors had not been mopped in months. Some bathrooms smelled moldy and bathroom rugs looked old and need replacement. Kitchen cabinets also needed to be repaired and cleaned. The patio screen door is broken and comes off the tracks. Otherwise the place served our purpose for this trip.

Cabin did not have a hot tub like most other rentals. We quickly realized why. We stayed here in July when Tahoe is nice and warm. There is no air conditioner in the cabin. The upstairs was completely unbearable to sleep in and was about 80 degrees all day and night. Some of the windows that opened brought no relief to the heat. Downstairs was about 3-4 degrees cooler so we slept downstairs. The living room was very stuffy and warm. They have small fans but they are very loud making conversation or tv watching hard. The cabin has a peekaboo view of the lake from the deck. It’s in an awesome neighborhood. Beautiful to have an evening stroll. Close to Chambers beach. The smart TV with plenty of cable channels and WiFi work great. The deck was a great hangout spot. Would definitely prefer a cabin that wasn’t so warm inside during the summer. Thanks for allowing us to bring our dog!

50th Anniversary with family
Our family loved the property. Very spacious for the nine of us and two very well behaved dogs. Found everything we needed for our stay and love the West Shore. The kitchen has everything you might need. Lots of room to read or work quietly. The large deck with its ample shade, generous tables and chairs and peek-a-boo views of the lake was our favorite spot and easily accommodated an additional family or four for a barbecue on our last evening there. Very relaxing place. The pocket door and towel rack in the master really do need to be repaired. Towel racks have been mentioned before. A lovely place to stay.

It’s a great place to stay with family or friends. I’m highly recommended. A lot of rooms and spaces. Perfect for a gathering or get away. It’s very clean and nice exterior layout, clean and very cozy. The owner Marissa is very intentive. She made sure your stay is comfortable and everything you need at the house is taken care off. Thank you Marissa. We will definitely come back again.cheers

perfect winter chalet
Great location, a short drive to homewood resort where we took ski lessons. Do listen to the owner, if you're goin in the winter, will need 4wD and chains to get up the slippery driveway. The windows were beautiful, rooms were large and our two families enjoyed having so many bathrooms. The kids really enjoyed sliding down the driveway as well! Also before we arrive, the heat was already turned up, what a sweet touch. all in all perfect long weekend winter wonderland get away.

Great property for ski vacation
Our group had some skiers and non-skiers. It was a short drive to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley for the skiers. The non-skiers were able to enjoy the beautiful west lake setting. The neighborhood is quiet and upscale. The house is enormous, with lots of room for our family of 8 to spread out. The house could accommodate many more. The kitchen was well stocked, so our trips to the supermarket (in Tahoe City) were easy. The only issue we had was that the driveway was a little steep and icy. We had no issues with our 4WD, but we had to put chains on our Prius to make it to the top, and then had to take them off to drive around town. As the owner recommends, bring a 4WD in winter.

Beautiful house
Huge beautiful house very close to the lake! The owner was very responsive and allowed us to check in a few hours early. Its a short walk down to the lake and right next door to Chambers. You're not allowed to use the beach associated with the HOA, which is bizarre and annoying, but the Chambers beach is a short walk. The house is a mix of old and new. It was great to have a bathroom with every bedroom, even though they could use a facelift (or at least towel bars that don't fall off the wall). All in all, this place is great for large groups and I would stay here again.

Great space, great location.
The house is well equipped, and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for our group of 8 adults and 3 kids.

Space and light and bathrooms, oh my!!
Our priorities for this trip: dogs allowed, a bathroom for every bedroom, space for 8 adults to not get in each other’s way, and midway between the casinos of the South Shore and skiing at Squaw, and reasonable price since I wasn’t sure what everyone could afford in our group...this was the perfect property for us! Bonus: so much space and light! Drawbacks: an older house. Some things have been updated: floors and kitchen counters for example and paint...others are not yet updated (bathrooms). Decor is tasteful and simple and clean. Did I mention the space? And we were able to make a full Christmas dinner - only missing a thermometer for the turkey and a turkey pan but we were able to improvise. This home is a very well-priced property, and the owners were friendly and responsive. We would do it again...
