Had a great weekend in Cambridge! Mr Rob greeted us with a friendly smile and opened his property up to us making us feel right at home. House was very clean, easily to find, and the views just wow! 5 stars and recommend to all.
Thanks again Rob and see you soon!!!

This is the perfect location for the weekend warrior to either get some serious adventure, training, or relaxation while enjoying the views and the comfort of this amazing cottage. Rob and Clarissa were fabulous hosts, from before checkin through the stay. We had a hiccup over the weekend- one of our dogs locked us out of the cottage, and the owners took care of us immediately. We'd happily stay there again!

Really loved the place! It was great for restorative relaxation, and also for gearing up for a biking weekend. The upstairs deck was just lovely to wile away some hours sipping coffee or wine and chatting. The kitchen was well-furnished and we could make breakfast and dinner with ease. Would definitely stay again. Minor note that the single beds in the loft won't accommodate tall folks and are probably best for kids (we had a few short guests in the group fortunately!)

Rob and Clarissa have a wonderful a wonderful property right on the water. It is secluded and very tranquil. We could open the door and our dogs were able to swim without us having to worry about bothering neighbors. The house has everything you could want and there are kayaks and bicycles. It is beautifully decorated and the bedding was really high quality which made me very happy. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property, excellent hosts, lots os fun things to do. No dishwasher and 1/2 bath is in the workshop downstairs. Had lots of rain, which was a bummer. Would definitely go back.

It will be hard to describe how wonderful this experience was with only words. I booked this house almost a year ago when I decided to come to Cambridge to become an ironman. Throughout the entire process, Rob was communicative and kind. As beautiful and comfortable as the property is, the true gems are he and his wife, Clarissa. They just have a way of making you feel like you've known them forever. We felt like part of the family. They welcomed us and spoke with us, but never in an overbearing way. I hugged them both when we left. This was a perfect home base for the race. Only about a 20 minute drive from the action with no traffic. Rob gave us a great dinner suggestion and even made the reservation for us. I traveled with my husband, Aunt and Uncle. I was the one who booked the property and was the contact. Unbeknownst to me, a few friends decided to travel down for a night to surprise me for the race. I'm also a host and was concerned about having additional guests that I hadn't informed him about. (We were not over the limit of the listed capacity of people, but did have 5 cars between us!) My husband explained the situation to Rob and he didn't blink an eye and told us it was fine. The home is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. I would not hesitate to book this place again and neither should you. The views are breathtaking. Highly recommend!

My family had a very enjoyable stay over Labor Day weekend! The hosts Rob and Clarissa were very friendly and welcoming. The property is absolutely gorgeous with the water, sunsets, forest, and serenity. My husband even got to dabble in some crabbing attempts!

... staying with family. In an oasis for anyone who loves nature, peace, and being on the water.
Rob and Clarissa's oasis exceeded our expectations. The grounds... the accommodations... the way Rob went above and beyond to make sure my kids felt welcome and had an absolute blast... Just WOW.
The place was spotless, well-equipped, cheerful, and beautifully decorated. The beds hugged us to sleep. It was hard to pick a spot to sit and enjoy the sunset because the options were so plentiful. Every detail was attended to. We asked to stay an extra night, and Rob made it happen (ht to your cleaner!!).
Our dogs came with us and romped, sniffed, and listened to the cacophony of birds (Download the Merlin App before you go!) while we wiled away hours on and in the water, hammock, by the campfire, etc.
We had some great meals, both take-out and dine-in. The star being Carmella's. Just do it. Especially if you like cheesecake. You're welcome.
We will be back. It doesn't get better than this.

It will be hard to praise this rental highly enough. Everything was just wonderful: hosts, rental unit, location, view, waterfront space. Two eight year old girls loved the loft, the playhouse, the boat ride and making s'mores. We look forward to returning on future trips to the Chesapeake Bay.

My family enjoyed our stay! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The house is comfortable with plenty of space. It is a beautiful waterfront location with an expansive yard. We brought our 16 foot skiff and docked it on property. We spent days fishing on the boat and fishing/crabbing on the dock which was well furnished with adirondack chairs, a bench and an umbrella. My son enjoyed the paddle board and kayak. We grilled in the yard a few times and enjoyed a fire for smores. We had one clear night which was perfect for star gazing from the dock. If you want a peaceful place to relax with your family, this is the place to be!

Beautiful location right on the water. The kids loved the play house, small pool and the dock. We did take the paddle board out and a kayak that was all really fun. There were jellyfish in the water so we didn't swim in the bay. The favorite was the large swing that went over the water, all four kids shared it a lot! The outside space was great. The rental is an apartment type space over a garage/workspace. The inside was clean and enough space for hanging out and eating. The half bath is outside the apartment and downstairs in the garage so I wouldn't really count that. Also, the washer/dryer is actually access to the washer/dryer in the main house. The property owners live in the main house right next to the building. They were very nice and welcomed us with a full property tour. It was a great play to stay with kids!

The property and area was extremely peaceful and well taken care of!! The owners are very nice and willing to help out with any concerns or needs. They also have a ton of outdoor activities, kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boat, bikes, and outdoor games, available for use! The only small complaint, were the mosquitoes but just be sure to bring plenty of bug spray!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Brooks Creek. Being able to look out at the water is soothing and being able to be on the water is rejuvenating. The carriage house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. But best of all, Rob and Clarissa's willingness to share their property with us was wonderful. This property allowed us to have our dog along which helped us learn more about her and us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful property. Our teenagers loved all the outdoor options, with the hammock winning the top spot on their list of favorites. The rental space was comfortable and very clean. A big thanks to our lovely hosts!

What a wonderful property on the waterfront. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, and we felt so fortunate that they want to share their hard work and space. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets, stargazing, and bonfires while my daughter enjoyed the fully equipped playhouse (she gives it 2 thumbs up). Kids of any age would be entertained at a getaway here, with bikes, kayaks, and the fun indoor loft. Adults took advantage of the quiet surroundings, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We really had a chance to slow down and enjoy spending time with family. We would love to return to this remote gem on the Eastern Shore.

Beautiful spot, our kids loved swinging right near the water, playing in the club house and hanging out on the dock. Great dock/deck with stairs so our dog loved swimming and easily being able to get in and out of the water!
Overall great experience.

This was our second trip to Brooks Creek and we had an excellent time. Our multi-generational group (grandparents, parents, 7 and 11-year olds) loved the kayaks, swing, outdoor spaces, and play loft. Rob and Clarissa have thought of everything - even an internal thermometer for what I roasted in the oven! We love exploring the local area, too - especially the Underground Railroad/Harriet Tubman Museum and St. Michael's. Emily's Produce wasn't open for the season, yet....so we will have to return!

Needed to have a quick family get away during Spring Break for Mom, Dad and four teenagers. Just what we needed. Great waterfront property with kayaks, firepit, dock and lounge areas. Kids were able to put down the phones, enjoy the property and relax. Clarissa and Robert were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Don't miss the sunsets!

We stayed with our three kids ages 2-5 and three grandparents. It was just enough space for us all to be comfortable inside, but the outdoor space is what really made this a great property for our crew. The place house and yard provided lots of entertainment for the kids.
The fourth bedroom is a loft space (accurate in listing), we thought the kids were too little to climb up, so my husband and I took the twin beds up there. It was kinda fun like a sleep over and the beds were pretty comfy.
Internet is spotty, which actually forced us to unplug a bit and enjoy each other. I wouldn’t suggest this location if you need to get work done as the cell/internet is not super reliable.

LOVED this place! It was the relaxing weekend we needed in a comfortable, clean, quiet place on the water. Rob is a great host and easy to communicate with. We’ll definitely be back!

I give this property and host 5+ stars. We were 6 adults and 3 children under 3. We all had a blast. We crabbed, fished, paddle boat, kayaked and waded in the pool. Rob was more than accommodating to our needs. The place was super clean. We enjoyed watching shooting stars from the dock and nightly storms from the porch! We will be returning!

Beautiful lodging
Rob and Clarissa were very nice and since their home is right on the property it was very easy to ask questions. They were very helpful and loved to talk with my brother The home was beautiful and the air conditioning worked very well. A few places we previously stayed at it was hard to get them to drop the air temp but not at all here. The bed was comfortable and 2 of the teens loved having their beds in the loft. Nice kitchen and the bathroom was very spacious and nice. One of the chairs in the living room was so comfortable that I wish I could have taken it home. There is stairs to get to the lodging as it is on the second floor above a wood workshop. I loved the smell in the work shop as it reminded me of my dad's workshop. There is a second half bath in the workshop so if your in the yard or small pool you do not have to go upstairs to go. The little pool was a nice size to sit in and relax. There is an umbrella at the pool for when it's sunny. The pergoda area was nice to relax in. There is a fire pit but we did not get to use it as it rained almost every day we were there. That is very common for this time of year. It usually only rained for an hour or less. There was a fishing dock where the boat was parked. There was also a smaller swim dock. There were 4 kayaks and a paddleboat for our use. We only went in the water once as there were a lot of jelly fish in the water. Again I think that is a time of the year thing. So it was nice to have the pool as a back up. We tried crabbing and fishing but we were not successful. Only one small fish and 7 crabs for the week. This was the end of July, I am sure at other times it will be better but the water was way to warm. There is a cute playhouse. I wished I was a child as it was so cute. If you are a nature lover you will like this place. Many different birds, even hummingbirds. Squirrels all over were fun to watch. The only reason I gave the location a 4 instead of 5 was were were unable to swim in the bay and once the teens say all the little jellyfish they refused to kayak Incase they fell in. Thank you Rob and Clarissa. Ps. The kids loved the ladder game you had. Did you make it? It was nice

We spent a lot of time on the water kayaking. We even paddled across the creek (`1/4 mile or so) to pick up some freshly steamed crabs for dinner. The site is close to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge as well as Cambridge. There's a lot to do for all ages onsite as well as places to explore close by. My only (very minor) complaint was that with my arthritic knee, I couldn't get up and down the stairs very quickly. It's a great place to kick back and relax!

Amazing getaway right on the water
Me, my husband and son enjoyed our stay at Brooks Creek. The porch upstairs is perfect for sipping morning coffee or looking at the stars at night. Our extended family was able to visit us and we cooled down in the pool that sits right by serene Brooks Creek. Robert has put a lot of time and attention into this unique rental and we'll surely be back again next year for our yearly visit to see family in Cambridge, MD.
