Overall, it was a good relaxing stay. The bathrooms were not clean, especially the shower. The couches and first bedroom on the left were not comfortable. The mattress and couches need to be replaced.
Thank you!

This is a really great central Red Feather retreat cabin. We so enjoyed a short retreat in this mountain community.
Several lakes are within minutes and there is plenty of hiking right out the door and nearby.
If you like fishing, the host's dad (Bill) can get you fishing passes to private lakes. Order passes in advance as he can only buy them on certain dates. Romona had a lot of evening fish rise.
There is a great patio with fire pit right out the front door. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows and delicious steaks cooked over open flame. Mmmm!
This place is a rustic mountain cabin and should be enjoyed as such. The kitchen is really well equipped and worked great. There is a gas BBQ too.
The concerns about water noise are legitimate. My guess is the well struggles to keep up and you hear a lot of air in the system.
The sound from the back bathroom sounds a bit like a bad car starter fighting with a rabid raccoon. It is a mountain cabin.
We would definitely go back to this cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would stay again. The front porch and fire pit are wonderful for relaxing and we appreciated that fire wood was supplied. The cabin is rustic but clean and has a well-stocked kitchen and a gas grill. The location is close to Dowdy Lake and West Lake and not too far off of the paved road. The plumbing makes crazy noises but there is plenty of hot water. Bring earplugs, as the beds are very creaky.

Enjoyed the stay in spite of the noisy septic system and dirty kitchen and refrigerator

This home was perfect for our family vacation. The outdoor space was especially wonderful and we used it every day. It was nice to have use of the grill and the garage for extra space.

The cabin is a rustic, beauty. Plenty of room, firewood, and close to the lakes. The property owner and her Dad communicated everything we needed to know. Would highly recommend and we hope to be back.

We had such a good time from sledding the driveway to pictureary and movies by the fire and beaver meadows is just 15 minutes away 👌🏽

After driving three hours to property I still had no check in instructions. The phone number listed on vrbo is the wrong number. The lady that answered said this happens to her all the time. She took my info and apparently passed it on to whoever was in charge of the property. After talking to this person I received check in instructions. I then went to the property only to find someone still staying there and wasn't leaving until the following day. I tried to call the person in charge back and of course no answer. By this time it was late and options for lodging were slim to none. Its been over two weeks and I still haven't received a refund! Be aware of this property!

This place was nice and cozy.. Love the fireplace.

Some windows didn't have blinds in them. One in the living room and in the master bedroom. I thought that was odd and didn't provide much privacy. I didn't appreciate the windshimes outside of the master bedroom. The fireplace was nice to have. The cabin was nicely decorated.

Toilers we’re extremely noisy, water spit even during showers, no direct tv, had to take our trash with us and no refund of deposit was given when all rules were followed!!!
Pictures were little deceiving as to size but very comfortable

Disappointed that the listing and photos are not all what is available to us. It was dirty. There is a brick that is part of the fireplace sticking up so we tripped over it a lot. For the price it’s not worth it but the view is amazing!

The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. Very quaint & charming mountain decor. Between the grill & kitchen, we cooked all meals at the cabin. Great sunrise veiws from the front patio. The patio & fire pit area were great. We had a fire every night & just sat & enjoyed the peacefulness. Lots of chipmunks running around & had a couple of rabbits everyday to watch. One morning woke up to 5 mule deer in the front yard. Overall was a nice relaxing vacation.

We really enjoyed hanging out on the beautiful front patio of this cabin. There was a beautiful view, a fire pit, and lots of hummingbirds and chipmunks to watch. We appreciated that there was wood for the fire pit provided. The cabin itself is very charming and rustic. Between the kitchen and the gas grill we had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is plenty of hot water for showers. Bring ear plugs, as both queen beds are very, very creaky.

Just what we needed for 2
It is an older (1950’s) built-upon cabin. It was fine for 2 adults. One Bedroom has no door. Plumbing rumbles randomly day and night but works. Bedrooms are small and beds old/noisy. Convenient location about 1 1/2 mile from large lovely fish able Colorado lake. Hummingbirds everywhere. Price reasonable and venue much better than a tent. Owner was very responsive to emails.

When we drove up a herd of deer were grazing on the property which started the stay out terrific. Nice and cozy.

I liked the patio, the fire pit and the view .
I didn't like the fireplace hearth as we tripped over it many times and lighting around the steps at night was not working.

This little Mountain Cabin was just what we needed for our visit. It was super close to where we needed to be with a lovely outdoor area to sit and relax. It is a cozy, older home set back in a quiet neighborhood. The few things I would note are 1. Trash. You must take your trash with you upon departure which can be quite an issue when you are traveling from far away or by air. We had trouble finding a place to drop it off but eventually did in Ft Collins. 2. The beds are squeaky. If you are a light sleeper I would bring White noise with you.

Very clean, well-stocked vacation rental. Red Feather Lakes is off the beaten track, so is a great place to get away and decompress. Lovely little town with everything you need (but not necessarily everything you might want). Check out the library (a real small town gem and the place to get WiFi). Enjoyed it very much.

This is a quaint little no-frills cabin with an amazing, huge front window to look out night & day. Perfect location to get to fishing & hiking nearby. Not a bad drive down to Poudre Canyon & Rustic either. Check areas & trailheads south for fire damage/closures from the Cameron Peak fire before you go. No WiFi or cell service, so know before you go! Great little place.

The property was just what we hoped for based on the booking information, the owner is very quick to reply/respond and was very accommodating. Be sure to bring your movies and music with you as signal strength can be an issue with certain providers, but the store at Red Feather Village has DVD’s to rent and Buck’s liquor store are both great places with friendly staff and owners at both. Overall the trip was great and the people were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Spring Break
Took our boys to the cabin for “Spring Break”. There was a heavy snow storm that came through, so we weren’t able to go to Beaver Meadows for tubing and Ice skating, but we had fun in the driveway with some sleds we bought from the local grocery store. The cabin is well equipped with kitchen utensils and appliances. The grocery store is a quick five minute walk. Our boys and us all had plenty of room to spread out and didn’t feel cramped. Robin was excellent in communicating and even gave us some ideas for places to visit. We kept busy indoors with movies, puzzles, and many games of “Clue”. The indoor fireplace made the evenings so cozy. Would love to stay in the summer and enjoy the outdoor fire pit.

It was a beautiful cabin, with perfect views of a lake, wild life in our front yard-could almost touch! Great for kiddos, families and grandmas! Robyn was an excellent communicator and so helpful with finding trails and places to paddle board and hike... will definitely stay again!
