Our family ranged in age from 4 years old to 74 years and all of us found plenty to enjoy. This home is as advertised!This beach house is casual in its decor and comfortable, inviting us to fully put our feet up and totally take it easy. The view of the ocean is breathtaking from the living and dining area. The bedroom configuration provides a good night's sleep for everyone. The kitchen was well appointed allowing the gourmet in us to prepare food easily. We played games from among those provided. The beach level patio was great for the kids to come and go from the beach, easily watched and accompanied by the adults. The beach was not crowded and the waves were just right. The Hollywood Beach neighborhood was charming. A few of the original one story beach houses remain, as some residents and more frequent vacationers we met shared stories of Hollywood stars of the past such as Clark Gable and James Stewart having vacationed there years ago. During our stay, some of us ventured up to Santa Barbara, some to Ventura. We found quality fish and chips fairly nearby for takeout one evening. Food markets and a Costco were not too far.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a long weekend stay-vacation at this property in early May 2023. The beachfront location is outstanding. We had the beach mostly to ourselves except Saturday afternoon and even then it was pretty wide open. The house was just O.K. for me. I found lots of little things that made me question the cleanliness (e.g. what looks like spilled salsa embedded into the grout in the master bath). The outdoor furniture, while nice, wasn't effectively laid out. I had to hunt for the correct cushions and the ottomans were "under repair", had been painted and left on the beach to dry out. I ended up staging the furniture myself so we could enjoy the seating and view. The umbrella pole was completely rusted out and had broken off of the umbrella stand, so that was non-functional. Regardless, we "spruced up" the place and enjoyed our stay, but still chose to actually go home on Saturday evening after sunset instead of sleeping over and checking out by 10:00 on Sunday. That was a first for me. Suggest management do a QC of the cleaning and the status of the outdoor furniture for future guests.

Spent my birthday weekend with cherished friends. This is my second stay here. Came last year for 10 days. Beds are comfy, water pressure is good and the location is excellent and close to lots of great food.

The house is really in an amazing spot right on the sand and near the marina and a bunch of restaurants and things to do. Its spacious with a big kitchen and has truly amazing views. The water pressure is also good and the hot water is really hot. Unfortunately, it needs some urgent maintenance and just overall feels a little bit of neglect and like it was stuffed with beds and cheap furniture. Some of the outlets were not functioning, the heater made a crazy rattling noise on the first night and was still super loud even after that was fixed. The outdoor furniture was in bad shape. The rooms were mostly cleaned but there were a bunch of spots around the house that were covered in dust. The kitchen was sparsely stocked for a house that can house up to 8 people and there weren't enough chairs around the dining table for everyone. We enjoyed it but it didn't feel like we got what we paid for in terms of the interior of the house.

Not sure how long this has or will be going if for. During our stay there was dredging happing right off where the sand meets the water. It seems to be early in the AM and late into the evening. I would equate the noise to a washing machine with shoes in the dryer. There was no mention of this in the listing or correspondence. It is not the most relaxing sound if your looking for a serene beach getaway. That being said the house is as advertised and my kids and family had a great time. The cooking pans and utensils seemed to be on the older and heavily used side. I would bring a large frying pan and good spatula if you plan on cooking. The toaster may be working thru it’s retirement. But we would stay here again as the downstairs is perfect for children to play and have fun while adults socialize upstairs. Also the house is pet friendly which is also a big plus.

It was perfect for a big family with little kids. The beach is right out the back door so the kids were able to play outdoors by themselves and I could keep an eye out thru the big windows facing the beach. There is a spacious kitchen, and three different seating areas.the house is very comfortable, the views and location couldn’t be better.

The house is right on the beach with the most important windows facing the beach/ocean. The living area and kitchen are large with a cozy feel. We also needed a pet friendly property. When we had an issue with our internet, someone came within a couple of hours.. Can't wait to go back.

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. The view is spectacular and it is very nice and clean. The house layout is also very good and inviting. Only issue we faced was with the dishwasher. It is a very OLD unit and half the time it didn't work. I think it is time to get a new one.

While well set up, the interior is quite tired and in need of decoration/renovation. We were unlucky in that the first morning we were woken by the next door neighbor's concrete drive being jackhammered and the large dredger working 24/y in the mouth of the harbor,

This was a wonderful home for family to come together to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday with his kids, grandkids, and their family dog. It was spacious, clean, and perhaps the most perfect part was watching the most beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed to have family dinners on the nights we wanted to eat in. And close enough to town and Ventura when we wanted to eat out. Though the house two doors down was having some construction, it didn't take away from the joyful experience we were having.

Parking for 4 cars. The consensus, #1 complaint was the mattresses: noisy and/or uncomfortable. [For the owner: aesthetically, the house could be considerably upgraded with little effort. Chipped paint and marks on walls and handrails required me to take pictures the day we arrived so I wouldn't be charged later, the refrigerator water dispenser face plate was held on with duct tape!, downstairs bedroom window was very rusted and cord on blinds was breaking, the dining room table was disgusting from water marks (we couldn't get it clean either), the outdoor furniture left a lot to be desired, and two of the three boogie boards were broken in half]. I called Property management on the day we arrived because wi-fi password sent to us was not working. I left a message but never got a call back. Fortunately we found another password in the packet. Over all: a 4 out of 5.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had multiple ages who stayed, so the downstairs living area was very convenient to have. It was well stocked and it was a nice touch to have some sun dries to start us off. Communication was quick and easy.

It is a nice house right on the beach and in a really nice neighborhood. Overall, it was great.
