Beautiful historic home close to parks. Very easy walking.

My mother and I stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! Quite spacious for a garden apartment.

Easy parking and we’re able to walk to all attractions. Loved the apartment and close proximity to everything.

Lovely place. Couple of things though which we were somewhat aware of when we booked. Firstly, the outlets are awful. While I don’t agree there weren’t enough as I read in one review, they are useless because the plugs fall right out. It’s a simple fix. Not sure why it hasn’t been addressed. The bathroom wasn’t very clean (water closet). And the intake filters look as if they had not been cleaned in quite a while. The livingroom lampshades have lived their best life. Another cheap fix. Overall, we loved the quaintness and will definitely like to stay there again!

If you're looking for a great place to stay close to downtown then look no further. Bed was super comfy and the space was very roomy!

The place was very cute and interesting. Had a very old timey feel to it. Living area wasn’t the most comfortable to be in so we stayed in the room while we were there but overall was a very cute place

Great location, neat residence.

Our Savannah trip was very enjoyable. To be perfectly honest, the property was just as advertised and the pictures were a perfect reflection of the property. However, in my personal opinion, the property was not terribly comfortable to my liking. Power access for modern conveniences was limited. There were outlets along the baseboard but plugs would easily slide in and out of them and they were very limited. The place was decorated "to period" for Savannah which was very nicely done, however, this left little room for personal comfort during our stay.
I would highly recommend the property but I would say make sure you realize this is a "period" correct dwelling and as such much of the comforts you may expect won't exist.
I did find the kitchen amenities to be very dated. The toaster and toaster oven looked like something out of the 70's. Also the exterior lights were not working so when returning to the property at night, it was a dark and cumbersome process to enter the house.

Upon our stay at this apartment we were extremely disappointed. The pictures of this property were well stage and hid the secrets within the walls of the apartment. On the door of the apartment there was a mail slot that is left open and exposed to the inside of the house. This is a security issue. As you come into the home, the lights were not properly working. The main light in the bedroom would not come on at all, and only some of the lamps were working. There were dead bugs in the house as well. The artwork on the walls was unacceptable and disturbing. We contacted the host and they said it was “Up for interpretation”. Yet the art was all demonic. In some some way, shape or form the art pointed to Satanic figures and demons. This art was beside the bed at eye level of laying down, I would not want to roll over in the morning and see Satan and his demons from my sleep. This was very disturbing and left us feeling uneasy. On top of everything else there was no cell service in the apartment, we could not call or text from the inside. We decided not to stay at the apartment st all.

This was a great place for my partner and me to stay for a long weekend! We found non-metered parking and were able to leave the car there the whole time because we were only about a 20 minute walk from all of the restaurants and food. Extremely close to Forsyth park and just a beautiful location overall. The rooms and bathroom felt clean and comfy.

It was nice having space during down time of long weekend to stretch out and relax. Also able to save money by making coffee and other things in the kitchen.

We enjoyed the opportunity to stay in this lovely location. It was in the heart of Savannah, with walking opportunities to various historic sites. The place was well outfitted.
The entry instructions on VRBO didn’t download to my phone so I had to call the host to get it. She was very responsive and helpful.

Savannah never disappoints! This property was in an excellent location. Loved how spacious the apartment was. Such a cool place with exposed brick and wooden beams in the ceiling. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

This property has a ton of history and charm and is within steps of beautiful Foryseth Park.
Check-in and out was a very smooth process.
My only complaint is the overwhelming musty smell and the very old unusable furniture. We spent most of our stay in the bedroom as that is the only room with natural light.

Savannah was wonderful. Comfortable accommodations (took a bit to get water hot for shower, but fine then). Great walks in neighborhood.

Mary was very helpful. And the place was clean and very nicely furnished. Cozy. Charming. We were in the historic district so lived the atmosphere and architecture and Xmas decor in the neighborhood. Walking distance to a terrific puertos rican restaurant! Would highly recommend to everyone.

This place was super cute & the location was exactly what we wanted.
There were 2 things that were somewhat of a negative- it took almost 10 minutes for the water in the bathroom to get warm and because this is an older home & the apartment was in the basement, we were able to hear every move above us. It definitely wouldn’t be a deal breaker but being honest in case it would be for others.

Lots of positives: great location, spacious, comfortable bed. Some minor negatives: worn linens, no coffee, annoying little signs (one insisting on using coasters, of which we found none — we used paper towels). Overall we would recommend.

First the good - the house is surrounded by beautiful homes and near a big, cool city park. Be aware though that it isn't near most attractions and is a 25 minute walk to the river where a lot of things are located.
However, this house should not be listed as non-smoking because the people upstairs (the owners, I guess) smoke, and it travels right through the vents and smells terrible whenever they light up. When this happened initially, I brought it up during the stay (which is always what owners say you should do) and though I was told the smoking would stop, it never did.
It was not clean. Like you just didn't feel comfortable being in there. There was junk on the walk to the front door (including an old level, and a lizard that had obviously been dead for some time). And the plants aren't trimmed back, so every time you walk through, your legs get wet. There was trash under the sofa bed when we opened it up, and a lot of trash under the ottoman when we moved it. My husband was walking around without socks, and his feet were black, and also had patches of some black tar-like substance on them. When I brought this up to the rental company, they said, "Making a 160+ year old ground floor unit "feel" clean is always a feat."
There is no soundproofing and you can hear everything the people above are doing/saying. Yes, you can expect to be able to hear that there are people above you and even that they're moving around. But you shouldn't be able to hear each individual footfall, and with every conversation easily tell who is talking, if they're asking a question or making a statement, and what their emotion is. Basically, you could tell everything except the exact words, and you could almost tell that too.
It is dark and windowless except for one in the bedroom. It's a basement, but windows were shown in one picture and I thought there might have been others that weren't shown. It was a cave-like place and we stayed out of the house as much as we could, instead of hanging out and playing board games during free times like we'd usually do.
Also, the unit was listed as having both a sofa bed and a day bed (which, with 2 kids, is the reason we rented this unit) but no sheets were included for either bed. I'm not sure how we were expected to use the beds. Also, the sofa bed frame is probably broken. We had to put the mattress on the floor. (To this the rental company told me, "Sofa beds are notorious for being uncomfortable."

Easy check in. Easy Parking. Great location.

Great location but both mornings we awoke to the smell of cigarette smoke wafting into the apartment. Really strong. Also the bed was uncomfortable. Otherwise decent accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment! The location is perfect- we were able to walk almost everywhere, which is great because finding free parking is a little challenging. The apartment is decorated beautifully and the bed is very comfortable! We had a little snafu with check in, but the host of this property was quick to respond and get things figured out. We really appreciated how courteous she was! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

The apartment was very nice, beautiful exposed beam ceilings and lots of charm. It was close to everything and we hopped on the free shuttle to take us to the waterfront.
Just about the only criticism is the lighting is quite dim and hot water for showers wasn't very hot. Minor items.

Superb location; quiet neighborhood and easy parking for the most part. Just the right place for us to spend the weekend.

The apartment had wonderful location. Very close to everything. The unit was clean and had all the essentials. Only negative thing I could say was the inside decor/furniture could use some updating and a better shower head. Overall great value

We had a great week and enjoyed staying at this quaint apartment. It was in a great location. We walked everywhere while we were there. The host was very quick to respond to any messages. We will be back!

Love the historic charm of this property. Just a 1 minute walk to Forsyth Park. Beautiful park and fountain. Lucky our weekend included the 2022 Jazz Festival. Walked the entire historic district from this location. Access to so many shops and eateries without a car. Don’t hesitate to book.

Situated on the northwest end of Forsyth Park, this property combined the elegance and tranquility of that neighborhood with the convenience of walking or riding the free shuttle throughout the historic district. The apartment was spacious and lovely. Great bed and plenty of AC!

We had a great time staying in this garden level apartment. It's in the heart of Savannah's historic areas and right at Forsythe park, so we were able to walk everywhere. We could walk to my daughter's dorm (she was with us one night before checking into her place) as well as every historic home in the city. I think I went on 13 tours of historic homes to avoid worrying about my college freshman / dropoff as she was going to orientation. All of the historic homes were within walking distance - 2 minutes to 20 minutes - from this house, as was Forsythe park. The highlights for my husband were walking across Forsythe Park every morning to his favorite coffee place. The home was as described and very clean and comfortable. The bed is HUGE and great for two tall people. The host was available when we wanted to extend our stay and that process was fast and easy. Thank you for a great stay in Savannah. If this neighborhood doesn't make you fall in love with this city nothing will.

The property is in the perfect location, center of the city and made walking everywhere easy. We were minutes from the Forsyth Park fountain, and a nice scenic walk to the bay. The place was clean, and very eccentric artwork which I loved. Great spot for a couples' getaway.

Perfect location in historical neighborhood
This is definitely a place we would love to come back too. It is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Gorgeous parks right around the corner. The apartment itself was very clean and cozy with terrific eclectic furniture and decor. At one point we were having trouble with the lock and the owners were easily reached and everything was quickly fixed.

Lovely Garden Apartment
Lovely apartment (as in the photos). Conveniently located, half block to "free trolley" (runs every 10-15 minutes). Forsyth Park is almost across the street. Quiet neighborhood you can walk everywhere. I suggest, if you drive....get a visitor parking pass which is good for any metered parking in the city. We purchased a pass and was able to park in front of the home during our stay. (I'll be honest, at times, you can hear footsteps upstairs but, this would not discourage me from renting again).
