My husband and I did a short weekend vacation. The room was nice, bed was comfortable, shower was a nice big walk in which we both enjoyed. The room location is on the 1st floor which is awesome and its right in front of the marina with a beautiful view! The restaurant attached to the hotel has great food! We both enjoyed our stay and would recommend this room to anyone looking to get away and hang out by the water. One down side is there are planes taking off and coming in over the property. They didn't bother us much and we did sleep well in the room so for us it wasn't a big deal. I actually took some videos and sent them to my mom to show my 2 little boys back home.

Nice area but room smelt like cigars and cleaner and also mold. Was not able to communicate with manager due to other issues. Ended up leaving and checking into another hotel after three nights of no sleep. Airplanes all hours of night and air conditioner was making all kinds of other noises. The rest of the Ramada in was nice and well kept with friendly staff and fun stuff to do at marina.

This is a wonderful opportunity to stay at a safe, clean, and respectable place for an absolutely bargain price! Having been born and raised in North Carolina, with any typical vacation being understood to be a trip to a beach (w/in a day's drive or less), I feel that I can stay I am very familiar with Southern beach culture. At NO time, either now or 35 years ago, could I or my family have ever gotten a week's stay at a safe, clean, and respectable hotel for b/w $50-60 per night but that is exactly what Dave and Todd (may his Memory Be Eternal!) are offering you here. What's more, never could I have reasonably expected those rooms to be refurbished w/ a high quality bed and furniture. Dave and Todd have chosen to remodel these rooms with tile flooring, granite sink countertops, and what appears to be safari-styled, practically antique furniture such as an armoir, dresser drawers (plenty of storage space), a desk, two nice chairs, and (in my case) a king-sized, soft and comfortable bed w/ great pillows (not to soft or hard) - and I am picky with some of this stuff! As correctly advertised, most rooms will open out onto a privately-owned and quaint marina with outdoor patio furniture that you and your family can sit around which is beautiful at night. To add to the flavor, there is an indoor/outdoor Tiki Bar w/ a swimming pool adjacent to it near your room(s) that offers live music/band, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Not to worry, the music stops b/w 11pm-12am, and technically, folks are supposed to be out of the pool so things start quieting down by about then. (There was NO partying until 3am kinda thing, and if so, that is quickly stopped by management/security or something.) It is true that the international airport is just about three miles down road so planes WILL fly by close overhead which will make some noise but even for ultra-introverts and sensitive sleepers like myself, it was tolerable and worth it for this great cultural experience. In fact, I took myself to a restaurant on night, and was explaining this great find to a couple (medical professionals) who could hardly believe that this place existed. They were beach enthusiasts, too, and I had to explain to them twice what a great deal this was. They congratulated me! Thank you again Dave (and Todd, God rest your soul) for investing so tastefully and mindfully in your rooms and real estate here! It made all the difference for me! ~ Stacey

It was a nice area in Sarasota. Extremely close to the airport which was nice for our early flight out on the last day. Restaurant on site was good as well.

Neighborhood wasn't the most scenic. Busy road in front and it was close to an airport with planes, large & small, flying over every 5 to 10 minutes day & night (although less at night). There was a nice view out the back outside our door of a marina with lots of boats, however. Also had a nice restaurant/bar behind the hotel with good food. The main problem was the room, while clean enough, was dated and not fancy in any way and kind of dark even with lights on (unless you wanted to open thewindow curtain). The water pressure was good, but the water had a rotten egg smell. the shower didn't drain very well, which wasn't a huge problem. It did have a nice shower head though. The biggest problem was the bed. It was soft, lumpy and appeared to be old. While I slept just okay on it my wife couldn't sleep on it at all and it made her back hurt. She knew that if she slept on it anymore it would really mess up her back. We talked with the on site manager about it the next evening (since we were out and about all day) and he said we could switch to another room that was clean with 2 newer double beds. When we went to check that room the beds were not made and the bathroom was dirty. I know the site manager was trying to make us happy, but there must have been some kind of communication breakdown. So we decided to stay in the room we had and I went out and bought a long pool float that we blew up and put on the floor with the extra blanket under it and she covered up with the bed spread and slept on it. Maybe she has a sensitive back, but from both of our experiences sleeping on the bed our opinion is that a new bed should be put in there. Other than what I've expressed here the room was just okay as the reality is that this room is located in an older Ramada Inn that hasn't been taken the best care of. Would not stay here again.

Enjoyed the property very much. It was a comfortable nights rest while we were in town for a wedding.

Property was just as described. Clean and cozy. Nothing fancy, but also has everything you would need, and if you don't, Todd(Property manager) will make sure that you get it. Being on vacation, I don't plan on spending much time in my room, do this was exactly what I need. Added bonuses are you are still on water and there is a nice tiki bar with full menu right outside. Would definitely stay again!

We were there for a wedding, and it was a nice, quick trip from the airport! The room is no fuss, and the check-in staff was incredibly helpful and efficient. I had messaged the owner the night we were meant to arrive that our connecting flight had been canceled so we were getting in a day late, someone responded saying that was fine and check-in remained the same, but then the owner came to our door right after we arrived to ask us where we had been. Not sure who I had been messaging with on VRBO's site!

We felt like we were living in paradise. Beautiful sunsets through the palm trees, then tall masts of sailboats. Just minutes from favorite beaches and restaurants, lots of variety of activities. Todd was a great host, checking often to see if he could do anything for us. A very positive stay

We booked knowing that we would only be using the room to sleep so amenities didn’t mean much to us. However, I was not aware there was live music on the weekends until at least 11. There was no sleeping through that. The room did smell a little musty but I did see a humidifier. The fridge/freezer combo was a great size! Tiki bar on property had extensive menu and great prices. Issues with TV; although it was high winds so I don’t know if that was the cause.

This property was very clean and neat. Great location. Very Nice.

We enjoyed the room. We're not high maintenance types so as long as everything is clean, we're good. We've stayed at the hotel many times before but this was our first in this room. It has a few upgrades over the standard hotel room which are nice.

We had family staying close by and were lucky to find this location with a fairly short notice, the description of the property is accurate and I was happy to have had some guest check in who had large cigarette boats, love the throaty sound of twin big block firing up for a run on the ocean (no kidding, I do). We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful place! You get to see all the boats coming and going and we even seen manatees one night! So peaceful and the tiki bar right there was AWESOME! Todd was also great and it was nice being able to chat with him! I will recommend here with David anytime me or my family/friends come to the area. And omg, the bed was AMAZING!! Thank you so much for the great stay!
