Breakfast so tasty, friendly staff, very calm n relax, comfortable facilities with lot of free flow water and 3 in 1

I'm scared with dogs.. i'm very not comfortable when there is dog come near me without guardian especially during eating. Please dont let your dogs goes around without guardian.

Included breakfast was good, great variety of beverages provided all day. Food up on the hill is quite expensive. Owner Raj and staff are very friendly and helpful. Environment is nice and view is wonderful!

Need to wait for the hourly tram to go up or down hill. Could be noisy is other guests are loud or didn't close doors gently.

The staff, especially Raj is a wonderful person and a great host. The hotel is perfectly located in the Penang hill nature reserve overlooking the city. Note that you need to take the funicular train but the hill to get to the hotel, information is provided at booking, read it carefully

That we didn't found this hotel earlier, we would have loved to stay a bit longer

No aircon (have ceiling fan) but likely was cooling throughout my stay. The sloop to hotel is very steep to carry luggage, recommend arrive n depart by taking a Jeep service.

Great place at a great location with friendly staff. Nice dinner (you order in andvance) and wonderful breakfast overlooking the green jungle and the city from above. The room wasn’t very big but had everything you needed and you don’t go to this place to stay in your room anyway. I recommend a visit!

The view is Fantabilous, Extraordinary and Beautiful. The Room and toilet are super clean and very comfortable to stay in.

It is a bungalow built on 1929. Itself is a beautiful building worthy to take many photos. It has best city view and far sea view during day and night! It has best sun rise view. It is inside Penang hill, so a good start for hiking around, to visit nearby bungalows. It provides very good food, so some local people come here by train for just having a meal. It has a very nice owner Raj. Do chat with him, if you can meet him. It has two lovely dogs. Do play with them. It provides many free instance drinks.

The view and location was great. Staff were excellent and it was a wonderful and peaceful stay on the hill. Will definitely go back for a longer stay. Also a great place to hike up the hill.

Nothing I can think of. Everything was good . It is a place to connect with nature so it doesn't have all the facilities of a city hotel. It is meant for discovering nature and simple living.

Generous portions of food, enough to feed two hungry teens! We enjoyed the nasi lemak, especially the prawn sambal.

The food though limited in selection, was delicious and well presented. We not only had breakfast but also our dinners at the property. Location was nice in that we could head up to the hill or down to explore as it was somewhere in the middle. The property was easily walkable from the nearest station, albeit a steep walk.

The bathroom was always wet as it had no windows and partly because it rained quite a lot.

Breakfast was excellent. The scenery was stunning. The temperature was definitely much, much better than Georgetown, Butterworth & KL.

Ii would have been better if the funicular was operating at the time. The room that we stayed in was comfortable enough (specially the beds), but not for travellers with suitcases, particularly at night when the bottom bed is out. We had to tippy toe when going to the bathroom.

This place is wonderful, with an unbeatable view, lovely friendly staff that is very reactive to any request, and a very nice vibe in general. Perfect for family get togethers, or for a peaceful stay in a nice environment. Comfy rooms, cosy common areas, with a great selection of drinks, and amazing food. I wish we stayed here longer. You can't easily get there or leave with a simple car or taxi, it's either by funicular (only 1 train/hour stopping there & operating till 8pm), or by pre-booking a Jeep, as it's a very steep way uphill. So it's not very flexible to move around. This should not prevent you from going there though, but better to know this in advance.

Good location if you want to stay for sunrise / sunset. staffs were very helpful, advised us on how to get around the hill. the breakfast provided was very nice and hearty. comfortable beds

Contrary to the other reviews, we were made to feel most unwelcome. - VIP service by staff to group bookings while we were merely grunted at by employees. - Could not use facilities due to group bookings. - Made to have meals in the periphery of the facility, by grunting, surly and rude staff pointing at some distant area where the food was "served". We were made to have breakfast in a storage area (see photo) while staff fawned over the group bookings. - Rushed check in by a lady whos only concern seemed to be limited to enforcing the rule of "no shoes" but no concern was extended to providing any information as to facilities or even how to order meals. - Staff unwilling to assist with queries. - Dogs barking outside our room all night so sleep was not possible. No doubt this will all be denied in the response by the geusthouse but it was an awful, expensive night and we could not wait to get away from this awful place.
