Mike and his wonderful staff (I don't like the word staff because Zemi and Michet treat you as family!) go out of there way to set you up for sucess. The Villa is open to the pool then the ocean and just makes you relax. Zemi makes amazing meals as a well as K' Lee and Porsha (They treat you as family as well!) Please don't go and cook for yourself, you will miss some amazing food! Mike ha sthis place dialed and will set up everything for you (give him advanced notice as Andros has limited everything.) Not a better place on Andros!

I will try my best to put our experience into words, but words are hard to come by when you get to Andros Island and especially KettleStone Villa. The first and most important thing to mention…. The people of Andros. We have never experienced such hospitality and friendliness as the Bahamian people. They are the definition of truly happy, and peaceful people. While this island is the most noncommercialized place we have visited, the host Michael, and staff Zemi, Mechette, and Jonas showed our group of 8 adults a 5 star level of hospitality. You will not find a more perfect place in the Bahamas, whether you are there to relax, or for constant adventure. We spent 4 days on the boat exploring the island, reefs, and shorelines. The van was an added bonus that allowed us to explore blue holes and land adventures. The villa itself is breathtaking. The pride Michael takes in his property and hospitality is unparalleled. The snorkeling is top notch. Bruce the Barracuda and the tarpon visits under the dock makes for a fun relaxing show at night. DO NOT pass up the opportunity of Zemi’s meals. Unbelievable is the only word for her cooking. 2 things to be sure you pack, sunscreen and bug spray. Lots of both! Also a very important thing to know, there are no banks on the island. Bring plenty of cash. The people need cash spent on the island if you eat out, or buy from local shops. I could go on for days, but words will not do, you have to experience KettleStone and Andros yourself to understand. You will not regret it. We recently returned from an incredible stay at Kettlesone with our host Mike and his awesome support team Zemi and Michette. We wanted for nothing!! Every meal was prepared for us, the property was always kept clean and any request or question was not only taken care of in the most professional, sincere way but we would be provided with options. Mike takes great care to truly engage his guests and provides an extremely welcoming environment. Zemi told us stories, gave us great advise,and always prepared delicious meals and we all enjoyed her company. Michette was also such a joy to have with us during our stay and made sure we were always having a “ fun day “ with her big smile. The property itself is spectacular!!! Pictures do not do it justice. We used the boat!! Easy to operate. Fishing and exploring. We used the pool!! Had it heated. Wonderful for a swim, day, or night. We used the hot tub!! Great place to relax the body after a fishing or exploring adventure. Many evenings the dock was our entertainment. Sit, have a drink, and watch the nature show at the end of dock. Kettlesone feels like your own private resort with something extra. The extra is the people whom make you feel like you are not just guests but friends sharing an extraordinary experience. We miss them!!

An absolute gem that could easily be twice the price. The team were fabulous and made us feel like family. The style of stay is of having the exclusive use of a small, immaculately maintained resort. There were always staff on hand to assist. The owner, Mike, is the de facto mayor of Andros island, and knows and is known by everyone we met there. Michette and Zemi provide cooking and cleaning, but are also extremely well connected on the island and were able to make wonderful referrals, and are creative, fun, and funny. In this trip we are visiting 5 islands and staying in 6 villas, and this was easily the highest quality and most fun experience. My 6-year-old daughter keeps asking when Zemi’s birthday is so she can send her a card. I hesitate to write this because the property already does most of its business with repeat customers - I hate to make it less available to us in future!

My family and I have stayed in villas all over the world, and Kettlestone was by far the best in terms of overall experience. The property is beautiful, the staff is friendly and dedicated to anticipating and responding to guests' every need. Most appreciated was the owner/staff's flexibility regarding our preferences. We were at Kettlestone for a month, and were working during the day, and we found the environment conducive to that (good internet, good cell service). The villa chef, Zemi, prepared delicious meals for us most nights; we recommend that you take advantage of this service as there are very few restaurants on Andros. Michette did a great job keeping the villa clean and also shopping for us, going to great lengths sometimes to find items we requested. We loved our experience so much that we booked again for next year, which pretty much says it all. No more looking for the perfect place to escape to during the winter; Kettlestone is it!

Unfortunately we did not get to experience the property yet. We had all our flights cancelled by Southwest and spent 24 hours trying to figure out a way to get to our vacation that we had been planning for a year. Try as we might we finally threw in the towel. All the while the property manager, Michael was in the loop. He offered suggestions and worked with us the entire way. When we realized there was nothing to be done he offered a solution. We pushed our trip forward to Aug. it’s not really the time of year we wanted to be there, but we still get to go!! Looking forward to our now summer vacation! Thanks Michael for all your help and being so flexible!! We looking forward to meeting you and enjoying the house this summer!!

I truly do not know where to start with this review. Everything was so amazing. Michael (owner) responded quickly to every inquiry prior to arrival and is extremely helpful and kind. Zemi is the chef for the beautiful home. We had her do breakfast, lunch and dinner every day because she is an amazing cook with such variety and options for everyone in our party. Plus, we always wanted her around. Her food, spirit and loving personality made this place as close to "all-inclusive" as you can get! Mechette (helped to clean the house daily and grocery shop, which is not an easy task on the island) was always a burst of sunshine! She kept us laughing and has a great relationship with Zemi, which was very fun to see. The house has a beautiful pool and hot tub. The boat was there for our use and Michael was super helpful showing us the tips and tricks of its use. We had a van to drive around to Zemi's favorite island spots/secrets. We went with two other couples (mid-30 year olds) and seriously had the best time! I could go on and on about the positives, but you will not regret your stay at Kettlestone. We plan to return in the next year or so with the whole family! Random fact: Beds are VERY comfortable! This is not always the case in VRBOs or resorts. If it is going to be bug season, please pack lots of BUG SPRAY as the "no-see-ems" can get ya! We cannot wait to return!!

There aren’t words to adequately describe this experience. My family had the time of our lives. The house and property are truly special and we feel fortunate to have found this and Mike, Zemi and Michette. Not only is this a beautiful well maintained home overlooking crystal clear blue waters (with hammock waiting at the pier), it is an opportunity to experience a quiet natural island with amazing people. Thank you so much Mike for opening this home to us and for your assistance with activities and food. You and your crew seem to think of everything. Zemi is an amazing cook and we enjoyed our time with her. We had Zemi prepare all of our meals while there. Definitely take advantage of this option! Michette was always with a smile and tips for what to do and see, somehow knowing what each of us would enjoy. Great to have daily cleaning from her to keep all things tidy and comfortable. Mike arranged fishing excursions with Glaister who proved to be a master fisherman. My husband and son enjoyed their time with him. We also used the boat at Kettlestone for fishing after Zemi gave us a tour and tips. Mike was a pleasure to get to know and learn from. This was a special experience and we can’t wait to return!

Let me just start by saying thank you to Mike and Zemi for making this such an amazing vacation! Mike organized everything for us and the communication was perfection Zemi took care of us while we were there and I would have taken her home with me if I could have! Prior to staying at Kettlestone, we will admit, we were a bit nervous. It seemed almost too good to be true. The reviews were tremendous along with the pictures. Nevertheless, Kettlestone lived up to the hype. From check in to check out, everything was seamless. Mike has surrounded himself with amazing people who help make your stay delightful. Having Zemi cook for you is a must (not only because her food is delicious, but resources are also limited). Michette arrived every morning with a smile. She was full of tips for the island and kept our space clean and orderly. The groundskeeper Jonas kept the property beautiful and stocked us with delicious, fresh coconut water. Boat trips with Tono were another must. He truly knew the island and was proud of it. We had once in a lifetime experiences when he took us lobster spearing and conch diving with KJ. K’Lee made our special event dinners more special than we could’ve ever imagined. Her big personality and delicious food made for a great night. The island in and of itself was an insight to true island living. The locals were friendly, helpful, and more than proud of their island. Exploring it is a must. With that being said, being able to return to the villa and spend our afternoons relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views of the turquoise water added to our experience. This vacation is not for people looking for the resort living of Nassau, but if you’re looking for an experience of a new environment and culture, Andros is the island to visit and we are very happy that we took the chance.

Our family vacation to KettleStone on Andros was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to return. And honestly, it's a tad difficult to know where to start in describing our time because it was all so wonderful. We're very appreciative to Mike for creating the paradise that is KettleStone and welcoming us to stay. Mike is the consummate host, an excellent communicator and helped arrange our trip so that we lacked for nothing. The villa and the grounds at KettleStone are magnificent (having a hard time coming up with the right descriptor here, fearing I'll understate) and you find yourself going into complete relaxation mode the moment you step foot on the property. Everything about the place - the rooms, the pool, the waterfront and the dock are beautiful and intentionally designed. The real "stars of the show" though are our beautiful friends Zemi and Michette, and we can't wait to catch up and laugh with them the next time we visit. Zemi is so much more than an amazing chef as she knows everything about the island, the water and the people. Michette is incredible, thoughtful and has a smile that makes you smile, all the time. Some of our favorite moments include hanging out with our new friends, spending time together connecting as a family down on the dock, fishing with Tanno (an absolute must - he'll put you on more fish than you can eat during your stay), snorkeling for conchs, jumping in Captain Bill's Blue Hole and exploring the various beaches on Andros. The food options provided at KettleStone are excellent. In addition to the amazing daily meals prepared by Zemi (she's an absolute wizard in the kitchen), we also enjoyed some of K'Lees delicious dinners. We were sad to leave, but were completely refreshed and satisfied when we did. Thank you to Mike, Zemi, Michette and Tanno for making our family time with you so memorable and special!

We were really impressed with KettleStone Villa. Mike was an excellent host and helped to coordinate a guide for bonefish fishing (this was our reason for visiting Andros). From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Mike, Michette, and Zemi. In addition to fishing, we enjoyed swimming in the pool and ocean. If you are thinking about Andros, this is the place to be. It is seriously the best place to stay. This was our first trip and we hope to be back. Some lessons learned for those that will be enjoying KettleStone Villa: 1) Have all your dinners at KettleStone Villa. The outside options do not compare. Pizza night with Mike and Zemi cooking individual pizzas in the brick oven was a highlight. K'Lee and Zemi were also great to have as cooks on other nights. 2) Make sure to have Mike obtain all the food and supplies you think you may need. The stores are sparsely stocked, so don't count on finding what you need when you want it. 3) Plan to pay for everything via cash (American dollars are fine). KettleStone Luxury Villas is as wonderful as it is described. The villa itself, its setting, the service, the facilities, and the management, are as good as it gets. During our week's stay no detail was left unattended to-- from planning our food (not easy with 3 children that have different tastes and food allergies!), to suggesting activities that three generations enjoyed, to just relaxing, and making s'mores at our own fire pit. Both chefs who prepared every meal for us were thoughtful about allergies and provided treats that both adults and the children would enjoy. Check the bedroom configuration carefully to make sure it works for your group. The three bedrooms are beautiful with King beds plus a single bed. One of these rooms is "open" from the loft to the entire first floor. (That's the one for early risers, but it still felt private.) Michael Hornby, the owner and host could not have been more accommodating or helpful during our visit, including making arrangements for our flights from Nassau (and helping with delays), providing driving lessons with the van that was available for us to use, and even making pizza in the pizza oven one evening for all of us for dinner. Fantastic vacation!!

Zemi cooked so many delicious meals and Michette kept the home in order and made sure we had all that we needed. They are true treasures and you’ll instantly feel like family with them. We also had K’Lee prepare some of our dinners. She and Ricco did an outstanding job and we enjoyed her positive personality, lovely meals and Ricco’s huge smile. We cannot forget Jonas, who kept the grounds in tip top shape and the supply of coconuts plentiful for our hydration!! As for Michael, he made the whole process so easy and stress free, from the initial booking up to the very end, dealing with Covid tests to get back home and all the usual day of departure procedures. I was most impressed with his prompt response to my many emails. We had a very large group and he was available to each and every one of us to answer our questions. If you’re interested in a restful vacation in the Bahamas, KettleStone may just be the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a slower pace of life while experiencing crystal clear water and the most magical sunrises you’ve ever seen. If you are reading this and trying to determine if this is the place for you and your family – yes, it is! KettleStone is a spectacular home with a ton of space. It allows for a large family to have plenty of room to spread out and sleep or for a smaller family to have their own separate areas of quiet retreat. The property features a large pool with waterfall, a hot tub, pool house with bathroom, and a grand outdoor staircase and spacious dock that extends out into the most beautiful water we’ve ever seen. There are stairs that lead straight down into the water for easily accessible snorkeling and swimming, and a plentiful amount of snorkel equipment, kayaks, and other water sport accessories are provided. As frequent travelers who usually stay at hotel/resort properties, KettleStone sets itself apart thanks to Mike, Zemi and Michette. Mike was fantastic answering all our questions ahead of the trip, talking through various Covid related scenarios and concerns, scheduling required Covid testing, organizing snorkeling and fishing excursions, and ensuring we had our grocery and food lists squared away. Mike anticipates what people need and is incredibly easy to work with. We had all of our meals prepared by Zemi and Chef K’Lee. K’Lee was a real joy and her dinners were delicious. Highly recommend! As for Zemi, she’s an absolutely fantastic cook and I’m fairly certain there isn’t anything she can’t do in the kitchen. Here’s my suggestion to eliminate the stress - tell Zemi what you absolutely don’t like and let her work her magic. You will not be disappointed! You’ll have access to a washer and dryer, don’t over-pack. Mike will make sure the house is well stocked with liquor, wine and beer. Toiletries are in all the bathrooms. They have plenty of beach/pool towels. Bring bug spray for the mosquitoes at night. Mike will make sure you have access to a vehicle if you want to drive around to different beaches, etc. Bring cash (U.S. is fine). While the KettleStone property is spectacular and worth the trip itself, what makes it all special are the people. To Mike, Zemi, and Michette – thank you. You are all incredibly kind and warm and really make everyone feel welcome. We miss you and can’t wait to see you next year!

The staff were exceptional and we enjoyed getting to know them. Michael was a tremendous host. He arranged everything for us— charter flights, snorkeling, diving for conch, massages, pedicures. When our flight was canceled, we were able to stay an extra night, and Michael made it extraordinarily easy for us by arranging for a charter flight change and even obtaining and administering COVID tests when we had to do them a 2nd time late on Christmas Eve. The accommodations were amazing and pristine. It was one of the most relaxing vacations any of us have had. We had Zemi cook many of our meals and highly recommend her.

Kettlestone Villa is a singular place. Every detail of this property and environment is its own unique experience. The villa is beautifully appointed with soothing whites, tile and hard woods. The sleeping quarters are comfortable and spacious. The pool and hot tub area are surrounded by lovely stonework and gorgeous landscaping, overlooking an absolutely miraculous portion of Fresh Creek. The views are absolutely stunning, featuring some of the most silently spectacular sunrises in the universe. Photos cannot possibly do Kettlestone the justice this place deserves. Our family and friends took full advantage of everything Andros has to offer, all thanks to Mike’s attentiveness to helping us arrange so many Androsian opportunities. Some of us spent each day Bonefishing, some snorkeled right off of the steps of the property (a wide range of snorkeling gear was provided according to our sizes); some of us took advantage of the scuba opportunities on the island. We swam with a sea turtle and a dolphin family, marveled at the reef right off of the dock, speared our lobster and harvested conch for dinners, and just sat and marveled at the views of the vast and glorious water and outcroppings. Kettlestone is a family of wonderful people. Mike is ALWAYS available to respond to any inquiry. He is very knowledgeable, resourceful and can make anything happen on Andros. Michette and Zemi are utterly delightful, brilliant, talented and easy-going. It was a JOY to get to know them and devour Zemi’s incredible cracked conch and conversation, and Michette’s wonderful way of making sure that everyone is chill and relaxed and giggling. We could not be happier to now call these people our friends. What. A. Crew. We have been all over the world. There are few places to which we’d care to regularly revisit. We simply cannot wait to return to Kettlestone. See you next year, Mike, Michette and Zemi. We miss you already.

This family vacation was an experience we will never forget! Where do I start?! The most BEAUTIFUL property located directly on crystal blue water provided the ideal escape we all needed. Mike’s excellent staff catered to every request and more! The amazing meals were prepared and served in a perfect manner by a talented chef. Housekeeping each day was phenomenal...We felt like royalty! We went fishing, lobster diving, island exploring, and Mike, the host, set it all up for us. Mike was always available to answer questions and provide anything we needed both before and during the trip. Needless to say, we were all sad to say goodbye to Mike, his staff, and Kettlestone!

The house and the grounds are immaculately maintained to a level I’ve not encountered before. Despite staying in many high quality holiday properties over the years this is, without debate, the best I’ve ever encountered. The owners, and their amazing staff, work in harmony to assure that my stay with them was nothing short of perfect. I’m not an easy person to please but I could not find fault in the service provided.

Where to start??? There are no words good enough to express how much our family enjoyed this little piece of heaven. First let's start with the amazing home and views. I spent hours just seating on the patio enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. The family enjoyed snorkeling, but they loved the boat rides and kids loved the raft. The pool was one of my favorite. Sipping fresh coconuts by the pool, looking at the ocean was so relaxing. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and perfectly decorated. It has all you need and more. Michael really thought of everything. The suites are beautiful and spacious. It is, hands down, THE best home we have rented via VRBO. Now, let me tell you about the amazing people at KettleStone.... As many other commented, we were afraid that it would be a little weird to have people around cooking, cleaning and such, but wait to meet Michette! She made us so comfortable right away. She is beautiful, funny, smart and always here to help, chat, and laugh. We had so many good laughs. She kept the house so clean and she always managed to do the rooms without us even noticing. Our family loved her. We wanted to bring her back home with us. Now Zemi!! Zemi is tiny but full of energy. OMG she cooked for us the most delicious meals. We asked for family style meals and everything she served was fresh, homemade and absolutely delicious. The whole family loved her meals (even the little one). Nothing she made we didn't like. She respected our dislikes and allergies. She even helped with the boat. We all love Zemi and wish we could have packed her in our suitcase too! Jonah made us fresh coconuts, that he went a got straight from the palm trees in the yard. So delicious. Can't beat that! K'Lee cooked us 2 dinners and they were fabulous. She even made us a special cake for our 18th anniversary and it was delicious. What a nice gesture. She and her helper were so nice and the food was delish. Last, Michael was the perfect host. He answered our multiple emails before our arrival, within couple of minutes. He planned the charter for us (that was an adventure on its own LOL), the food delivery, he scheduled the Covid CPR tests. He was always available to answer any questions we had. He even helped my husband with his ear ache, concocting a remedy. What an amazing staff!!! Everyone one the island and in Nassau were so polite, nice and helpful. The Bahamians are wonderful people. We will definitely be back!

Where to start??? There are no words good enough to express how much our family enjoyed this little piece of heaven. First let's start with the amazing home and views. I spent hours just seating on the patio enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. The family enjoyed snorkeling, but they loved the boat rides and kids loved the raft. The pool was one of my favorite. Sipping fresh coconuts by the pool, looking at the ocean was so relaxing. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable and perfectly decorated. It has all you need and more. Michael really thought of everything. The suites are beautiful and spacious. It is, hands down, THE best home we have rented via VRBO. Now, let me tell you about the amazing people at KettleStone.... As many other commented, we were afraid that it would be a little weird to have people around cooking, cleaning and such, but wait to meet Michette! She made us so comfortable right away. She is beautiful, funny, smart and always here to help, chat, and laugh. We had so many good laughs. She kept the house so clean and she always managed to do the rooms without us even noticing. Our family loved her. We wanted to bring her back home with us. Now Zemi!! Zemi is tiny but full of energy. OMG she cooked for us the most delicious meals. We asked for family style meals and everything she served was fresh, homemade and absolutely delicious. The whole family loved her meals (even the little one). Nothing she made we didn't like. She respected our dislikes and allergies. She even helped with the boat. We all love Zemi and wish we could have packed her in our suitcase too! Jonah made us fresh coconuts, that he went a got straight from the palm trees in the yard. So delicious. Can't beat that! K'Lee cooked us 2 dinners and they were fabulous. She even made us a special cake for our 18th anniversary and it was delicious. What a nice gesture. She and her helper were so nice and the food was delish. Last, Michael was the perfect host. He answered our multiple emails before our arrival, within couple of minutes. Our family vacation to Kettlestone was all that we had hoped and more. If you desire an authentic Bahamian beach experience away from crowds and casinos, full of breathtaking ocean views, tropical birds and flowers there is no better place! The owner, Michael, kindly guided us through our pandemic re-booking from June 2020 to 2021 and it was so very worth the wait. The accommodations are generous, with comfortable beds, deep couches, and a large family dining table. We had more than enough room for 5. The spa-like bathrooms are well appointed and the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities you need to cook meals if you choose. But while the villa is incredible, you will want to spend all your waking moments outside, enjoying the pool with waterfall, sunning on the stone deck, or reading on the dock. Every afternoon we gathered under the great porch to enjoy the shade and tropical breezes. The views of the ocean from Kettlestone are truly breathtaking at every hour of the day. I have never been to a more beautiful place. We used Mike’s SUV to venture off property to the incredible beach and swim in the blue hole, but the majority of our week was spent at the Villa. Our teens, 13,17, and 19 were very happy, relaxing, swimming, fishing, and using the snorkeling equipment right off the steps that lead into the ocean. We had solid family time together, but there was WiFi to make very one happy and we even watched movies on the smart TV a couple of nights. We loved getting to know Michette and Zemi who provided housekeeping and lots of good advice and information about Andros Town and the villa. We opted to have K’Lee cook dinner for us, which was a special treat for everyone! Mike made us pizzas one night in the wood fired pizza oven that were outstanding. Everyone made us feel so much at home! Mike arranged a 4 hour reef fishing trip that was a blast! We quickly caught 6 species of fish and when everyone had caught enough we ventured to the island that you can see from the villa to swim, snorkel and look for see turtles. Our captain took us up into Fresh Creek so we could explore the village and the beautiful waterway. I will never forget my first view of the turquoise water and Fresh Creek flying in from Nassau. Michael helped us make all the flight arrangements and had the villa pantry stocked upon arrival. He is a pleasure to work with and will answer any questions you have. We cannot wait to go back!
