Very nice and well maintained cabin. The only thing our teen missed was I-net access

The attention to detail that was put in to the cabin was awesome. Very nice place.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this charming cabin. It was very beautiful and had everything to offer. This cabin is extremely close to the caverns and Walmart, so if you forgot anything at home, you can be at Walmart in less than 10 minutes.
Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin!

Beautifully restored “cabin” with the best of both worlds: rustic charm and modern conveniences.
Great location. Close to the Luray Caverns, scenic Skyline Drive and The Appalachian Trail.
The kitchen was well appointed, beds and sofas were comfortable. We also enjoyed the fire pit and hit tub under the night sky.
Very Relaxing!

My husband and I, along with my brother sister-in-law stayed at this beautifully appointed cabin. We were visiting the area for leaf peeping and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and peaceful location. The patio area was an excellent spot to sit and chat after a day of hiking and exploring. Close enough to shopping when we needed items as well.

We enjoyed the cabin and the town of Luray.

Great location that was convenient to Luray Caverns and plenty of outdoor activities!

The property was comfortable for four adults and two small dogs. It sits right on the road but the back of the property is more private. There is a nice pond out back but stay on the trail and beware of chiggers. Overall a nice homebase for sightseeing and cave exploring.

I recently stayed at this cabin with myself and 4 other friends for a weekend away. We used it primarily as our base for accessing the national park and it worked out perfectly. It was a short 25 minute drive to the Thornton Gap entrance, as well as a short distance from activities in Luray and on the Shenandoah River. At night we had everything we needed to cook dinner, relax, and spend time at the foot of the mountains. The only downside was that we did have to replace the grill propane tank at Walmart nearby as both were out of fuel. Otherwise we had a great stay and would come back.

The cabin and surrounding area was beautiful. Lots of outside activities to do. The cabin was well kept and also included great amenities.

We stayed for four nights and had an absolute wonderful time! The cabin was clean and secluded but not too far off the beaten path with a grocery store nearby. We cooked dinner every night so I used the grill and stove a lot. Grill is well used but worked fine. The gas cylinder was near empty and spare was empty so be prepared to fill it. Fridge is a little small. The bed in the master is super comfortable. The other sleeping arrangements could use an upgrade. We used the fire pit each night and there was a lot of wood available. Annette is awesome and super responsive. We booked a tube float with her and it was great. Hope to come back soon!

This cabin was the perfect size for our group of four adults and two fur babies. We loved relaxing outside in the hot tub and fire pit area and enjoyed the gas grill and big grassy area for the dogs. The house and kitchen were clean and well equipped with everything we needed to make meals and had comfy couches and direct TV. The town of Luray had some quaint shops, coffee houses, beer and distilleries and the caverns were beautiful. Owner did a fabulous job keeping in contact and assisting with a tubing trip down the Shenandoah river which was the favorite part of our trip.

We enjoyed our stay for 8 days. We loved using the outdoor hot tub after a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park. We loved the bathtub in the master bedroom with the candles and the fireplace in the bedroom - very cozy. We enjoyed using the fire pit and watching the fireflies in the trees. We also liked fishing in the small pond and caught a number of small fish. However, make sure to check yourself and pets afterwards. We picked off a few ticks from ourselves and our dogs after spending time at the pond. The house is rustic but what do you expect at a log cabin. One thing to note is that not only is there no wifi, but we didn't have cell service either. We use Verizon. Maybe it's different with other providers. Also, the house is right on a road, so there is car noise, but the road isn't too busy and it was still nice to look at the mountains and trees while sitting on the patio. The house is very accurately advertised

Wonderful cabin with a huge woodsy lot for wandering and exploring. Very close to Luray and the Shenandoah River. Annette the host provided lots of great information on the scope of possibilities for every possible motive for a mountain escape. Fire pit, grills, trails, playground for the kiddos, a fishing pond, hot tub, seclusion, and a cozy, restored cabin with all the amenities. She also owns the local tubing spot. What more could you ask for? Maybe some better toilet paper, but honestly, this was a picture perfect experience.

Historic character cabin with multiple couches for conversation and snoozing. Starry night skies from hot tub, and privacy with great /redone shower and bathroom. Great for two couples - Annette very responsive and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for just a quick getaway. The cabin was beautiful with all the correct appointments. My husband loves the "cabin feel" and this place has it.
We did the maze at Luray and ate at the Speakeasy down the street. Everything was fun! Annette was a great host and incredibly quick with her responses and support. We would definitely stay again!

Annual trip with friends to participate in an event at Cooter's store in Luray and just disconnect from the daily grind. This cabin was less than 3 miles from the store which allowed us easy access and a quick drive to the event, the town of Luray, places to eat/shop! Lovely and historic cabin that fed my love of history. My husband and I had the master suite with a bed that was so comfortable my husband now wants me to replace our brand new mattress with the one Annette has in the cabin! Our friends stayed in the bedroom upstairs and said it was just as comfortable. The curved staircase is sturdy, wide steps and everyone (50+) felt safe going up and down that staircase. Home was clean and comfortable with beautiful views outside. The hot tub was a welcome end of day treat after running around all day. We hosted a small cookout for friends (I worked with Annette ahead of time to get approval) and the grills, picnic table and chairs allowed us to visit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The only thing I wish we had done was bring a few of our skillets, hand mixer and pots. We cooked a lot of food and quickly ran out of what we needed to make all the food. Not Annette's fault at all! She has it equipped but given we made a ton of food for the cookout it isn't a surprise we didn't have all we needed. Annette is super responsive, easy to work with and a delightful host. Thank you Annette for an amazing stay.

This gorgeous home is very accessible! I’ve been in an electric wheelchair for over 20 yrs and this has been the nicest vacation we have ever taken. Usually we arrive to either steps or narrow doorways or shower I can’t use. This home Annette has rehabbed is more than perfect! The shower is great too! We will definitely be going back and for a longer time than the 10 days we spent there! Look no further because I guarantee this will be your most accessible property and it’s on 37 acres of beautiful forests, hiking trails, water sports and quiet-our perfect vacation! Thank you Annette!

Great Mountain Cabin! Plenty of amenities! Kids loved the pond, hot tub, and spent hours on the swing set. VERY convenient to everything we wanted to do. Annette was very communicative about the whole check-in and check-out process and about all the area attractions.

We had a great stay in Luray! House was cool. Never found the duck/pond but got covered in tiny biting black bugs that wouldn’t come off so make sure you wear long pants. A few issues but otherwise a great time!

Great property
Our stay at the cabin was great. Great property and location. Cabin was roomy and everything worked as advertised.
For those at all concerned, cell service was really good for AT&T, not so good for Verizon.

Beautiful Cabin - Lacking TLC (tender loving care)
Overall, we were disappointed at first impression, but it depends on why you wish to stay there. The mature trees surrounding the property block most of the beauty of the views. Most of the yard space is very tall grass with 2 mowed paths. The path to the pond wasn't mowed so we didn't venture any further. The other path leads to the road. The river access is a very long walk but a drive about a mile or so. The river itself is beautiful and they have steep boat access. The cabin property needs maintenance outside as in mulching and the bushes and trees need trimmed. The grill was out of propane and very dirty, but propane was brought to us immediately upon request. The outdoor swing is very weathered. Loved the hot tub and you do have a good view of the top of Kennedy's Peak from that spot. We enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub. It's easy to use, although the water was cloudy, it did have chlorine in it. The cabin itself is beautiful. The furniture is very worn out to the point you can barely get off the couch if you sit on it. The futon mattress upstairs is very worn out and extremely saggy. The cabin wasn't very clean as far as surfaces but the toilets were clean and they give you plenty of towels. The kitchen appliances weren't working but were replaced upon request immediately. We ordered delivery from Anthony's many times. Good food, takes about 1-2 hours for delivery depending on how busy they are. We made the best of our stay and I think with some clean up and newer furniture, the property has the potential to be nice. If you are going for the views though, this isn't it. The property owner is extremely kind and responsive.
